Got the 16 pro and love it. The hardware is fantastic, and performance is buttery smooth. The action button is so handy and versatile (use different options eg showing a menu, toggling AOD, for differs focus modes). Camera is spot on and video with the new audio recording feature is too. The larger screen in the same size body as the 15 pro is spot on - it balances one handed use with a large enough screen for me. Battery life is excellent. And I love the camera press to focus and zoom button. Ever since the Nokia 1520 I came to appreciate how enjoyable it was to have a dedicated camera button. The 16 pro has quite a few features over the 16 (much better battery life, camera, video…). But for a lot of people the 16 will be fine - and cost per annum when worked out over the several years that apple rolls out OS and security updates, with the phone still being perfectly usable makes it better value than several other options I considered. iOS 18 is a huge improvement, it’s got me off android 14 with my main phone and I sold my Samsung galaxy ultra (but kept my Xperia). It’s the integrated personalisation and customisation that stands out for me with the 16 pro. And it feels great to use.
@@TheTechPreacher I’m enjoying it and also an Xperia and very old LG V20 as a dap (the v60 sounds great but the v20, surprisingly, sounds slightly better to me with my set up (range of IEMs and 200gb of uncompressed lossless). every ESS Sabre DAC featured in an LG smartphone: V10 - ESS Sabre 9018 DAC, Sabre 9602 headphone amp V20 - ESS Sabre ES9218 Quad DAC (tuned by LG or B&O Play, depending on the market) V30 and G6 (Asian market G6 only) - ESS Sabre ES9218P Quad DAC (tuned by B&O Play) V40 and G7 - ESS Sabre ES9218P Quad DAC (tuned with Meridian) V50 and G8 (and G8x) - ESS Sabre ES9218P Quad DAC (tuned by Meridian) V60 - ESS Sabre ES9219 Quad DAC (most likely tuned by LG)
how in the world is the iphone 16 pro buttery smooth to you? the refresh rate has been throttled from 120hz to 80 hz 95% of the time except gesture animations and scrolling extremely slow which is not even natural. this has been going on for 4 years and its so crazy to me that people think they are having a butter smooth experience!!!! you are not !!!! i hope more people start making videos covering this issue because apple is taking advantage of there non informed customers !!! we know what adaptive refresh rate is but apples version of it is complete trash. we paid for 120hz devices and thats how it should perform! not 80hz !!!! as an apple fanboy this is unnaceptable!!! my ipad pro from 2018 feels way smoother and is obviously @120hz. people should be outraged !!!! refresh rate is being constantly throttled by 65%!!!!! we cant let apple get away with this!! 80hz just feels freaking cheap !!
@@defi_ramsay it is buttery smooth. I go by hands on experience. How long have you been using your 16 pro? Also part of that speed is secure faceID. It makes things so much faster than using FPS, for example my Samsung ultra s23 feels slow in comparison with its fps in screen- which won’t work with gloves, when it gets a bit wet…(and even Samsung warns you not to use their face recognition from a security perspective). Also, the screen of the 16 pro feels gorgeously smooth to the touch, rather slightly plasticky or hard like some of my other phones.
100% spot on video.....these prices and lack of advertised functions are absolutely ridiculous. I buy older flagship phones and im extremely happy 🙏🏻🤙🏻😎
All this AI is too much. Manufacturers are so focused on AI that innovation on other software, camera, and design gets pushed aside. Samsung devices still look the same 3 generations in, Apple too. At least Google gave us a nice refreshing design with the Pixel 9. Imagine what LG would be at now lol.
Preach on, brother. Indeed, many companies are compromising on hardware and software quality for profit. Apple, in particular, has been criticized for its incremental upgrades and pricing strategies. Only recently did Apple increase the base storage of the iPhone 13 to 128GB. Meanwhile, their MacBooks have remained at 8GB of RAM since 2017. Chinese manufacturers once offered impressive unboxing experiences, but now they too seem to be reducing the inclusion of chargers and accessories. Voicing concerns is essential; otherwise, these companies may continue to exploit consumer complacency.
Apple's marketing Apple Intelligence when the iPhone 16 series isn't even getting it until next year, so if you're going to wait that long then you might as well skip the 16 and get the 17 that'll have the AI on the device
The main reason why I'm avoiding both Samsung and Apple. The next phone to replace my annoying A54 is probably between the Moto G stylus 2024 or the Oneplus 12 (which is currently on sale. 650 dollars for the 256gb model. 750 dollars for the 512gb model).
@@TheTechPreacher that’s where it gets tricky; because A.I. was never touted to be free. It’s the same with streaming; it was never pushed as a free service. I completely understand the frustration but it’s not as if these companies said these services would be free. It’s right up there with UA-cam Music and Apple Music- you get the free version but you want more use of it you got to pay for it
Before I start the video I personally feel like Samsung 23 ultra was peak Samsung. To expect better is to set yourself up to fail. They can touch up tho
Still using my s22 ultra, and will be for the next 2,3 years. AI I've used like 2 or 3 times if I have to I would have no problem switching phone brands nothing, OnePlus etc...... and I will never pay for stuff that already on the phone . .
Hey Preacher, it's VERY important for you to know that you're doing the right thing by sticking up for your audience, the consumer!! I, for one, personally appreciate it. It's not easy to be an advocate for truth in today's world. And the most unfortunate thing is people just don't know to care about such a position as standing up for what's truly right! So don't be discouraged, but rather be emboldened to carry on! Fight the good fight every moment; every minute, every day! ✌️☮️
I'm a proud S23+ user. And honestly, the mics sound just way more natural than any pair of iPhone Mics ever could! (Regardless if its two or four). If I was to ever go back to an iPhone (which I'm keeping my S23+ regardless), I would need said iPhone to have Binaural-style Mics in their phones. Praise also going to the Sonic Presence Binaural mics as well (though most folks I know never use these). I plan to buy a pair one day, since the Ambeo Smart Headset Binaural Mics do not work with USBC phones (even with an adapter). At least, the app for them doesn't...
Yeah all this rush to make things thinner and lighter along with AI is just not practical on phones,( exception might be photo editing). For AI, Maybe laptops or PC where you’re glued to a desk. Gimmick for phones if you ask me.
💯 you’re speaking facts my brother they’re trying to take all of the money we work hard for 😮💨They are greedy. but seriously we have the power as the consumer, no consumer, no business and I promise you, the prices will drop it’s just crazy you pay over a grand for a phone and now they want to charge people for subscriptions hell no!! they are going to eventually start losing business just watch👀
Why anybody would continue to spend good money after bad on a company that has proven itself to be the greediest of the greedy is beyond my comprehension.
In my opinion, apple was rushed into making AI software & just didn't get what they wanted in time. Apple is 3 to 6 years behind every other company in tech. Their last innovative phone was the iPhone X. I'm just waiting for the s25 ultra to come out to trade my iPhone 15pm. I'm loving my s24P way more than my iPhone.
Do you think Samsung will make you upgrade to keep the AI? If you don't upgrade after a year, you have to pay? I think this idea sounds more feasible, although sneaky.
@TheTechPreacher now I understand why they are doing it. Apple really dropped the ball. Let's wait and see if anyone brings a lawsuit for misleading advertisements. They'd better get these updates out by the end of December!!!
