The decision hinges on the phone's age. People often resell or trade in their old devices. Typically, once a phone hits the three or four-year mark, its value may have significantly decreased, rendering the cost of battery replacement potentially unreasonable. For example, if the phone's value falls to $200-300 and the battery replacement costs $100, it might be more economical to invest in a new phone for potentially years of additional use. Additionally, other components besides the battery might fail if one tries to extend the phone's life beyond six to eight years. Depending on the brand, you might receive only 3-4 years of updates. Even with a standard of 7 years of updates, replacing the battery in the fourth year would leave you with just a few years of security updates. Considering work and banking apps are on my phone, I would prefer having updated security patches. I still use a Galaxy S8 with 75% of the original battery's capacity as a second device. With modern battery and software management, a battery can maintain its health for an extended period. I upgraded to a new phone mostly for the software update. Now that the flagship Samsung phones get seven years of updates I'm good until 2031 or until my phone breaks. On a side note, Note 4 lasted five years until it just didn't turn on anymore. I replaced the battery and it still didn't turn on.
Great video as always. Some people don't upgrade every year. Some people out there still using an LG G8, running on its second battery replacement lol.
I don't know why people need to spend over a grand every year to chase a little bit more CPU and GPU power. What games on Android are you unable to drive? Even a 3-year-old budget chip for a 5-year-old flagship chip can drive the most taxing Android games. Right now the games seem to be the bottleneck. Not the CPU and GPU power.
Most Apple people be the first one to complain about chat bubble color trying to tell you about you using and Android phone…meanwhile the screen is cracked and don’t have a charger for their phone but ask you if you have one. lol
It's funny cause most people get the latest phone because of the pro cameras as they say however most people can't take professional pictures 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
People need to wake the hell up, and realize people ain’t perfect so technology isn’t perfect. Everything on earth has a flaw especially if you go looking for them.

If sales reflect the current trend, then it may not be significant. Smartphone sales are decelerating as consumers no longer feel the need to possess the latest model. It's likely that marketing efforts are successful in persuading us to purchase unnecessary items.
@TheTechPreacher apple and samsung seem to have the same issues gee I wounder why they copy each other they last 3 years lol some features you cannot mix ios and os that's thier issue i think
I don't understand human behavior when it's solely materialistic. If you don't have ownership or stock in the company, why go the extra mile? I get it if a company works for you that is fine but going beyond with no benefit as I mentioned I will never understand that part of human behavior psychology. It is a mystery for me. At the end of the day, you are not taking anything to your grave. It's an object!
I bought lg7 5 months ago after give my lg v60 to my brother. But why lg g7? It's 2018 phone. Too old to be used? Because it give all i need. So compact. Battery so weak? I change my screen reso to 720p, mod with magnet powerbank. No amoled? This ips display look good even outdoor, indoor, even down reso to 720p, don't worry about burn in. Plus speak/headphone jack for my music lover. Don't be sad if you break it on the ground.... Because it's f**kin stupidly cheap 😂😂😂

I like using the phone that gives me the most for my money.
For sure thanks for watching I really appreciate it
Majority of people switch phones because of the battery. The problem is they spend a ton more on a new device instead of swapping out the battery.
I know right

Lol u right about that
I got a coworker who, said androids always have problems and glitchy. I asked how much his phone was he said 150.00$ 😂 you get what you pay for! ☝️
Well he should know that a 150 dollar phone won't be a 1000 phone. He should have expectations that 150 dollar phone is not a flagship
@@TheTechPreacher uneducated people who buy cheap phones wouldn’t think about it.
Android is NOT glichy.

I have the iPhone 13 and I would either get the Samsung 26 ultra or the iPhone 18 Pro Max, my phone is brand new only a few months old
For sure get your money worth out of it
iPhone 13 is trash, I bought two this week and returned both, sound quality and battery life was garbage and the iOS processor wasn't impressing me
@@nbayoungkob it’s gotten buggy since iOS 18, but my phone is paid off so 🤷♂️
