Have you tried these yet? What's your thoughts?
Never have never will lol
Not yet but I've heard of these!
Not interested in them. My opinion is similar to Andrew's opinion about not wanting stuff that is too much like the old stuff, especially since being vegan the world of flavours I never new became known to me.
As long as they're cruelty free they will be in my belly so yes, I tried them. I live in Mexico so I went to a Whole Foods in San Diego, California and yes, blew me away. I wouldn't buy them again because being 30+ years vegan, I'm just not accustomed to the taste anymore but they definitely taste like the real thing. Perfect for newbies who miss eggs. What I'm really looking forward to -and not going to lie that I ADORED as a kid is cottage cheese- is Miyoko's version of it. She said that by this time it would be on the market but haven't seen it yet. And it will be made from WATERMELON SEEDS. Unbelievable what people can do to veganize food nowadays..
Yes I’ve tried them. I enjoyed having a boiled egg. I ate the first pack alone. Then used the second pack: sliced them thin and made avocado toast. I’d eat them again.
These 2 are a wunderful pair. I find them to be quite eggcellent😉😊🌹🌹
😄
hahaha, good one! Thanks!
No yolk
@@r.p.flabberwocky8614 **ba dum tsssss** 😄
The look on Andrew's face after the first bite says it all! Haha, priceless!
hahahaha
I love wundereggs! I like to slice a couple on the side lengthwise to make them thinner, put them on a toasted English muffin, with vegan mayo, and vegan gouda cheese. So good. Highly recommend taste testing the eat meati chicken and steak! I was really impressed by those too.
These were a game changer for me! I loved hard boiled eggs before going vegan and these are UNREAL! Got to try them a year ago at an Expo so I’m so happy to finally see them in stores!
*ADDED* I will say the black salt is key. I would NEVER microwave them and I think the texture is 100% spot on! Been vegan 10 years and these are amazing to me…just wish they were cheaper!
I’m excited to try these. Back in the day I always had hard-boiled eggs in the fridge for a go-to nibble…hot sauce a must! 😊
I also loved egg salad and would like to try these for that.
So glad they are a hit for you!
I feel like this would be neat as a ramen topping!
I tried it on ramen. Do not recommend unless that's the first thing you eat. It starts to disintegrate and melts in a bad way and you're eating gooey egg that's not pleasant. Much better as is or maybe if u make an egg salad.
oh yea!
They're greatr on ramen. Just keep on top since the texture is best when they're not too hot.
You both are amazing! Thanks for all u do
You can make these yourself!
Here's how I do it...
I make hummus and use black salt instead of regular, and a little less of the other ingredients to make hummus... you want it kinda thick..
Then boil some plant milk and add agar agar ... add it to some dollar tree egg molds and let it set up in the fridge...then pipe as much of the "yolk" on them as you desire...😋
and also make Deviled Eggs by adding Mayo, Relish, mustard, etc 😉
💚💚💚
Sounds like a plan👍🏾 Thank you. 🙂
I also add a little black salt when I boil the plant milk to make the egg whites taste "eggy" also ... just a tad bit 😁
Nice!
Hey would live to see restaurant/travel reviews. THANKS 🎉🙂
Hey guys!!!! Good to see ya. Love taste test!!!
hey there :)
i feel like i haven't seen you two together in so long!!! it hasn't been that long but yaknow what i mean! ugh i love you guys
Cute couple! ❤❤❤. And thanks for this review. I’ve been so curious about wunderegg
Thanks! and you're welcome
Thank you for this video I think it might be a great product for new vegans making the transition ❤ 2 years into my journey I occasionally miss deviled eggs so I might try it for that or “egg salad” great job guys 😁
Thank you for this review! I've not yet tried them, but I'm looking forward to it! I've been waiting for Whole Foods here in Charlotte to have these in stock, but they've not yet gotten them.
Darn!
I’ve been following you guys for a while now just trying to be healthier and more conscious. We’ll to my suprise we just discovered my toddler son is allergic to egg and milk so now I will religiously be watching you guys videos more than usual. Just want to say thank you 🤍
The expression on Andrew's face is priceless
Andrew cracks me up!! I agree with both of you though… It was fun to try once but, for the amount you get and the fact that I wasn't Amazingly impressed with the taste… and the price, I don't think I would get them again.
Thank you for testing it out for us!!❤
I get it Andrew, I'm the same with impossible burger. It's just too close for me😂
haha get that
It’s good to me! I actually like it 👍🏽
I was vegetarian for 25 years before going vegan and I have now been vegan for almost 6 years. In transitioning from vegetarian to vegan, eggs were the last thing to go for me. Although I am intrigued by the wonder egg, I cannot bring myself to spend the money. I am definitely willing to wait until the price goes down!
Hope it does soon!
I love watching y'all give your honest opinions. The facial expressions say it all! LOL
always honest!
They were $10 originally at WF and I noticed when I went this past week that the price lowered which is great. I’ve heard mixed reviews about it so I think I’ll wait to see if it’s cheaper before I buy. I did love eggs pre-vegan.
Y’all missed adding the melting footage but maybe that’s a good thing 😅
Nice! And we did, sorry
Thanks for sharing this. I wanted to try it when I learned about it. I got so excited to see it at Whole Foods. When I saw the price, I took a hard left and moved on.
understand
I put these on Ramen. I love this product!
Hey guys great videos! I started making the homemade Just egg replica recipe from cheap lazy vegan. It's really good!
Thank you for trying these. I will buy them if I can find them here in Canada. My idea is to mash them, add some salt and put in a sandwich. I do miss egg sandwiches!
So wholesome it's enraging
?
Have you tried the Gardein F'sh Filets? They have wheat so I can't but was wondering if you had. Thanks for the Wunderegg review.
Yes, we don't buy often, but they are a great knockoff, one of the only vegan fish/seafood products we like
I miss your taste tests!!!!
more soon!
Maybe I will try them when I go to the States next month.
BLINDFOLDED TASTE TEST!!!!❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
w/ a spin the wheel
Would've loved to see that close up shot!
sorry!
@@MakeItDairyFree no worries, I forget stuff all the time ^^
I’m dying to try them and make an egg salad sandwich which I really miss! I plan to look for them tomorrow, hopefully my Whole Foods will have them
Let us know what you think!
My 9yo & I love Wundereggs! 🍳❤ He had 2 this morning in fact with garlic powder, black pepper, & black salt (April 28th, 2023).
We even dyed a few for Easter. But I do agree, that this product is quite pricey.
If this tasted like a deviled egg, I might be tempted to try it. I have a texture issue with food, and I used to like my eggs warm….so passing on this one. Thank you for doing a taste test for us!
I've seen some people making them into those
I think the price point is definitely going to deter most people from trying them. It’s an interesting product, but feel like you could make these at home for so much less. Thanks for taking one for the team! 🤣😂💚💚
true
I am definitely more on board with these than you. I fell in love immediately. I thought the taste and texture were great. I have had the on avocado toast and as egg salad. Sorry you weren’t fans.
Yep, imagine crab is still fish, but I've had Vegan Crab Cakes, and they are AMAZING!
awesome!
I actually stopped chewing my lunch to focus on Andrew's reaction. So many emotions in that face all at once . . . I have no desire to seek these out, because it's a peculiarly vegan thing to really really miss a food and then gradually cross over to finding it--and analogues that are close--repulsive. For me, rated PG now, my brain goes "That looks like the thing that comes out of a chicken's butt! No thanks!" Plus, we have deviled baby potatoes, which are twice as nice because they're potatoes. No jiggly. Enjoyed this taste test; thanks for posting, and congrats on the Purple Carrot advertising gig : )
hahhaha, so true.
also, thank you!
I can’t help but notice that product to packaging ratio…
It was a lot
Try the Nurishh cream cheese! I think it’s really good 🤤
We'll have to look for it
I don’t know if you guys are aware that Whole Foods has vegan sushi now you guys should do a review
we'll have to look for it
You didnt add in the b roll of the microwaved "egg" ... I'm definitely wanting to try this out. For me, eggs were the hardest thing for me to give up. I still misstate taste, texture, and ease -- but not enough to actually eat one that comes from an animal. The second hardest things for me to give up was seafood, so I'm with you, Andrew, on waiting for some good veganized "seafood".
whoops, sorry!
I only just discovered you guys recently and have been binging your review videos! 😂 this one is a no for me, I never ate hard boiled eggs before going vegan buuut I think its a great product to have available especially for new vegans, those who may be pondering and of course vegans who used to eat them beforehand! 🌱
Welcome, glad you found us!
❤❤❤
I thought these were really good. I tried them plain, on an English muffin and in egg salad. Pricey but I’d buy them again.
I've been vegan for about 7 years now. I made the decision to use only the meat/cheese analogs for the items I really miss. Like I'll occasionally buy fake chicken nuggets or shredded cheeses. I find that most of them are as bad for humans as the highly processed items in the SAD. I care about my health as much as animal suffering. So I strive to eat as cleanly and healthfully as possible. I don't miss eggs much, so I'll do a hard pass on this one for sure. Thanks for taking the bullet for us on this one, esp Andrew-lol!!
I don't hear many vegans thinking in the way I do. Everyone seems out to replicate non vegan foods without caring about ingredients such as inflammatory oils, "natural flavors," sugar, etc. It's refreshing to see your comment
@@jennifergreen6109 Seems to depend on one's reason for being vegan. As I said (and esp as I'm getting older-70 now) My commitment is to eat in a way to alleviate as much animal suffering as I can, and a close second is to keep myself healthy and active. Jennifer, you might want to check out folks who live the Whole Foods Plant Based (WFPB) lifestyle. Many are also SOS (salt, oil, sugar) free. Thanks friend!
I thought they were great. Too pricey to buy all the time . Would love to try making my own. Ha! No surprise Andrew didn't like it
Looking forward to seeing the review on Ogg egg and Yo egg. I think that's the new pouched egg?
Will ya'll do a taste test for Not Co's Not Burger? I think it's pretty good
We haven't done a video, but have tried them. Decent for sure!
I didn’t really like eggs before I was vegan. I liked deviled eggs or over easy/soft poached/sunny side up. I was surprised by kind of liking these. I thought the “yolk” was a little dry like an overcooked egg but accurate. The white seems more slippery than a boiled chicken egg. I got this simply for the novelty. I’ll probably get them again at some point
That's how I felt (-Larisha)
marinade there and make ramen eggs! its the best way to eat them!! i dont think they taste much like eggs even with the salt you can really taste the coconut. im not sure why they used coconut for these. but with the marinade, it covers a lot of that and theyre delicious. i was also impressed by how clean the ingredients are.
Thanks for the tip!
I haven't tried them but could see using them in an egg salad sandwich.
Eggs are extremely hard for me to give up as well as seafood… the struggle is real! But to see his face solidified my stance on not trying those eggs 😂 I refused to not try them because of the price BUT his reaction to the taste 🤣 imma pass 🤦🏾♀️
These are very much like a chicken egg. They're amazing. I use them to make egg salad, deviled eggs, put them in my potato salad and toona salad and give all these things to my non vegan friends and family members. My daughter who lives with me is becoming vegan without realizing it because I make things with these kinds of products and she loves them. For me, anything that can make it easier to eat vegan is worth it because I want everyone to stop eating animal products. Once they've gotten there, a more whole foods plant based diet is doable. But to begin with, these kinds of products are a wonderful way to get animal eaters to eat vegan
Still definitely wanna try it out but that price though🤦♀️
Aldi has a new fish filet you could taste test!
We haven't seen it!
I think the best takeaway from this episode is to make them yourself to be able to control the taste and texture. Still, I Do Miss EGGS!😢
I get that!
can you pop out the yolk to make deviled eggs? or is it all just kind of stuck together?
You could pop it out
I'm wondering what would happen if rather than refrigerating and then nuking, the "eggs" were just put in a warm-ish place for maybe a half hour before trying them. If the price comes down to earth, I may give them a try, sliced thinner on toast.
Do you have any workout regimens? 💪
Not at this time
Ok thanks
You can tell Larisha is the funny one in the relationship and Andrew is more serious. Cute couple
Thank you! And accurate LOL
Wondering what these would be like in an egg salad or made into deviled eggs. Was never a huge fan of just plain hard boiled eggs. Might also be good in a vegan ramen soup.
Maybe for sure!
You all are so brave lol.
I never loved eggs 🥚, so I will pass on these. However, I think it's great for people who like eggs. I wish the company great success! 👍
Yes!
I enjoy the Wunder Eggs but they are very expensive. I would buy more if they were cheaper.
Was Andrew's problem the same as mine when I ate meatloaf made from Impossible ground "beef"? Impossible burger so accurately captured the taste and texture and appearance of ground beef, that it messed with my mind. I don't want to eat an animal, so why would I want to eat something that tasted, and had the mouthfeel of an animal product, but was an imitation of it? The accuracy of the replication was eerily perfect and made my mind think I was eating actual ground beef. I also felt queasy like I'd done something wrong (to me), which was eat an animal. I'm not completely vegan, as I still eat eggs-but unfertilized eggs. Gandhi tried to go vegan with his family and they weren't getting enough protein. His doctor suggested they eat unfertilized eggs. So I eat unfertilized, organic, pasture raised eggs, that I buy from a couple of local small family farms.
Yes, too close for him. Check out his other channel, he's showing lots of high protein recipes. It's 100% possible to get enough and build muscle
www.youtube.com/@thenarddogcooks
@@MakeItDairyFree Yes, I am a big fan of Andrew’s cooking channel.
So glad I didn’t purchase this yesterday at Whole Foods !😮
lol
Hmmm. I'd still like to try it but after seeing this, I'll probably use it in chickpea tuna salad instead of eating it on it's own.
Get that
I think as an ingredient, it might be good. I never liked boiled eggs; actually no eggs, except in cakes, lol Deviled eggs, eggs in a salad; I could see that working.
Get that
I do miss coloring Easter eggs. I used to eat Devil eggs, but now that doesn’t appeal to me. I might try these if the price does down. I rather put my grocery money towards fruits and veggies.
our girls have enjoyed painting wooden eggs as an alternative
Try the chickpea tofu yet??
Not yet!
I was curious but Andrew’s face told me NO! 😂
Gardein has a vegan fish product it’s good but somehow didn’t sit well digestively for me.
Miyokos is sposdd to come out with their vegan cottage cheese.
nice
I have tried these and I found them to be pretty good.
But I wont spend that type of money on them again until the price go down.
get that!
My son likes thr good catch frozen brand...
nice
Why hello! I was wondering if you guys were ever going to shoot a longer video again. It's nice to see you guys angry video as always.
angry video LOL.....yes, we do, we've just haven't found a lot of great new things to try out recently
I’m with Andrew, too close 😳. I’ll stick with the mushroom deviled eggs 😊
get that!
I really want a fried egg? I know there is one brand out there doing that but expensive and hard to find
Be Leaf I think has one, we haven't tried because shipping, yikes!
I wunder how it would fair in a potato salad?
Probably better than on it's own
I am with Andrew. If the product is too close to the "real" thing, I just can't.
understand
FYI: I had heard that imitation crab is really a different fish made to taste like crab. Anyone know if that’s true?
yes it's usually Pollock
Too bad I'd not eat because I don't like beans of the other liquid eggs. But nah not a chance ..Andrew's face when tasting is my expression as well lololkl I never liked hard or soft boiled or fried or over easy etc!!!!!
LOL!
You need to use black salt on these
I want a huge fan of them by themself. But I’m something with other tastes would probably be best. I didn’t like the yolk. It was too chalky for me
understand
Wunderegg sounds like a sci fi movie.
LOL
Always disliked eggs - in most forms. Was really hoping this was a vegan kinderegg review
LOL! My kids would die for that option
When I see Andrew, already know I don’t need it.. lol
Too much plastic for 3 eggs
Understand
Haha
I thought they were a whole vegan egg that could be dyed for easter
I feel like if I try this, my reaction will be eggactly like Andrew's
they eat it around 5 min in video
timestamps for jumping ahead/back are always in the descriptions
@@MakeItDairyFree oh nice! thnx
Hard boiled eggs are supposed to cold >:c
ehhh not always
Yeah ok, but put them on avocado toast.
yum!
I was never a fan of hard boiled egg. Especially the smell. So I'll most likely steer clear.
get that
I think some things shouldn’t be consumed and this maybe one of them. 😂
LOL!
Ya, ridiculous price for 3 eggs. It’s a “no” for me. Don’t miss them that much.
understand
🤣🙂🙂😂
Hard boiled eggs were always disgusting to me. Chicken ovulations never tasted that good to me. Unless scrambled with a bunch of other stuff in it. Lol
LOL
Lol definitely shouldn’t have microwaved it
LOL
