You're right about the T-Lite's power usage. I had to test it twice, then measure the output power to make sure it was actually on, then test it again. I got over 12 hours on 10mW output with a 3400mAh 18650 down to 3.3V (going below that gets real sketchy). It is some kind of magic going on in there. A really good radio punching above its price point.

the zorro is my favorite radio but something about an elrs radio that can go 12 hours on an 18650 is wildly compelling to me.

Nice review... all of these are compromised on some aspects ss you said but T-lite has the best value for the money spent.

I have the V1, and I had to replace the switches to make it feel comfortable to use. If they had used the same style switches as the Zorro (or X-Lite for that matter), it would have gotten two thumbs from me, based on the prize. I think the Zorro is a far better radio though, even with the short battery life, but I actually found some new use for the T-Lite as a park flyer radio for small los planes since I have a bunch of different protocol rx's (my Zorro is elrs, my T-Lite is 4in1). So for anyone on a tight budget, it is a great option, byt personally I hate those switches.

After using the T-lite for a while, I can say that you missed the biggest FLAW with it. It's internal power is limited to 100mw, which you noted, however the external module is limited to 500mw due to using only 1 18650. Every time the module goes above 500mw the entire controller shuts off and your drone crashes. As long as you don't care to fly outside or over 500mw it's great. Pretty useless for me though.

Nice video! But, why do they say 150mw if there is only 100mw option? And why they said they have 25 and 10 Hz but minimal I was able to select was 50 Hz?

Been looking at this V2 version, piggy bank raid coming . Thanks for the great review was exactly what I’ve been looking for 👍. I will be using the screen mount screw holes to mount a balance lanyard neck strap. (As some other people have done )

    Jumper T16 crsf
    Tango 2 crsf
    Jumper t-lite +250 mw elrs
    Zorro with ago1's + 1w elrs
Of all the above that I have owned since entering the hobby I would say the T-lite has been by far the best experience of them all.
I've had issues on all my other radios.... the t-lite has outperformed and outlasted all the others! (And I've only had the zorro a few months)
    Brilliant value for money.
Also the ago1s fit inside the T-lite although the wiring isn't the same.. ground and power I think are reversed.
Also how on earth did radiomaster get the power consumption and battery size so wrong! Piss poor performance imo

Be careful with the thin gimbal wires. I was in the simulator and suddenly I couldn't control my Yaw anymore, turns out a wire came off but I was able to resolder it.

maybe you could try out the old gamepad style radios like frsky xlite and flysky nirvana with edge tx and compare it to the new radios...
would be interesting to see how they keep up with newest firmware.

    Fantastic review, Ian! Thanks! 😃
I would've liked if it was 250mw... And also the issue of the lanyard. But, still... It definitely looks pretty nice! And perhaps you could 3d print a lanyard connection point and glue it there... Or maybe an aluminum one, which would be much better, but... I don't know, I can see some possible solutions there!
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

I have an ELRS Lite (2.4GHz) Wich has ceramic antenna and a jumper T-Lite with 100mw power and 50Hz frequency. I am reaching maximum 100 METERS before I lost signal. I am using in an open field with some trees, not more than 2 imas obstacles sometimes. Is something wrong? I tried a lot of things, saw a lot of videos about range but I can't get any better! Is this the real maximum for my config? Please help! I saw the conector, the wires, everything is fine! Thanks in advance!!

I still wonder if Jumper and Radiomaster and betafpv started to learn that it might be a lot more beneficial for all if they send you such units before release and not after cause over and over again they fail here and there more or less by false compromises.
I can remember the radiomaster with a too small and exotic battery size - and I also got the Jumper T-lite from the first presale back then around chrismas 18 months ago.
I had sold my Jumper x-lite months before when I decided to sell all my Fr Sky radios and receivers after they had fought against jumper removing the T16S from all the german shelves when I tried to get one a bit late, too late, cause I had to buy through Ali Express which was a bit of a risk due to limited amount of sellers that accepted paypal in the 2019 era.
That being said I got it to replace the x-lite which was partially a lot better, but also cheaper which have to be considered. I liked to use it for PC flight emulators and for planes only.
Right now I am bit hesitant to get one cause I am still not sure if Radiomaster will improve the Zorro or not regardin the battery cause that was also a weak spot of Jumper t-lite V1.
This one looks a lot better to repair or maintain compared to the T16S which was a nightmare cause mine back then had arrived with a broken switch in the front and it took ages to get that fixed via ALiexpress cause which seller wants to pay the repair beyond parts cause I had told them I would not try cause if things go wrong in such replacing job I would be screwed and they would claim it was my fault even though they had delivered a bad unit considering it was packed pretty well and did not look like a shipping damage.
But I guess I will wait for the chrismas single sales with the remote update and the dji goggles replacement.
11:40 is a great comparison. The Zorro appeals a bit more to me due to its big screen. commando whatever is not what I want missing switches and fixed length gimbals and the missing trim switches needed for planes (even though I miss a laneyard 'port').
great re- and overview especially at the end from 11:40 onwards for those that are on the edge between 2 of these.

Why didn't you include the FrSky xlite pro in your transmitter comparison? The FrSky xlite pro has the choice of 4 different operating systems, cnc hall effect digital gimbals, internal gyro, Elrs module, and FrSky Access protocol. I think the FrSky xlite pro is a superior transmitter when compared with the other game type transmitters.

    • @MadRC

It’s going to be one of two things. Either the ELRS app version does not match the FW version or you have the module disabled. You do need to enable it in the main config.
