I don't like to comment much on youtube, cause i mostly just watch some stuff regarding music and history but i just can't hold myself. This channel is a true gem, and you are a very knowledgeable person and a kind soul (sharing with the world for free) Very interesting and intricate stuff(as all your videos are)....How many times i watched videos regarding changing of the strings and yet not a single soul shared that you need to bend strings to avoid them pulling the pins out..or that you need to remember which pin belongs to which hole (cause they are different sizes)...All your stuff is very detailed and full of nuances like this..You explain everything very well.I had all kinds of small problems with my acoustic before i found your channel....I think i will be spending too much time on this channel)))).Hope you are well and healthy. Thank you very much!
Very professional video. Helped me a lot with my first steps. This one and may other videos as well. I appreciate the amount of very basic informations which can be crucial for the beginners and which are skipped by many other tutorials. Thank you for your work Sir.
Hey I'm left handed and accidentally snapped my G string (funnily enough). Which way would I wind it on if I'm left handed? Left to right or right to left? Thanks
You always wind from the centre. So if it is 3 a side make sure the string comes from the centre and if the guitar is 6 on one side make sure the string comes from the opposite side from the winders. . . I hope this helps 😊
My nana bought me a bunch of strings for my bass and acoustic. I have a steel stringed acoustic but she bought me nylon strings. (I need to replace the smallest string) if I used the nylon as a temp string and just tuned it for the use of the small one, would that work?
The biggest problem is the ends of the strings. Steel guitar strings have little ball ends on to hold the strings in place but nylon ones don't. You can botch one on for the time being,, but it will sound strange and look strange so you will want to replace it as soon as you can.🤔
Thank you sir. I'm learning guitar on my own with you tube I've had my guitar for 3mo is it normal for D string to break now? I have the tuner on the end so its not over tight just wondering if 3mo is a good life on strings
Great video, thanks so much. At 2:13 in the video, string is spelled without the 'r' ('sting'). It might be useful to change this otherwise some beginners might go to music stores and ask for stings. It could be funny, I suppose, and I'm sure guitar techs would know what was wanted but still! Good tip to replace all the strings if one breaks - even though I've been playing over 20 years I never really thought about this but it makes sense ;)
I've gotten this Yamaha guitar from my pops a few years back, never played it bc the top E broke. Im going to replace the strings, does it matter what gauge I use since im replacing all of them?
You should be calibrating your strings to play in the 432 HZ range, not 440 HZ. As the 440 HZ tune is not in tune with natural sound of the universe and is hard on the mind and the ears making it chaotic
I have made a playlist featuring this guitar. ua-cam.com/play/PLIQJcXCYbgO24x4LaTVk6ecndsWx5kFCa.html
4:11 I had no idea how the guitar end holds the peg in place. Thank you 💗
thank you . . 😊😊

they should last longer than that really but you do get faulty strings that brake very quickly, sometimes within a week. 😊
@@guitar-academy i feel ya this is the first string that broke im gonna replace all the cords while I'm doing it mays well but thanks for the reply

Thanks for the spelling tip, but unfortunately once the video is uploaded it can't be changed . . 🤔

if you get a set of strings you can put on what ever gauge you want . . I hope it all works out . . 😊
@@guitar-academy thank you for the clarity
Tysm now I don’t have to buy a new one 😅
that's an expensive way of changing strings . . 🤣😂
Is thete any way to do it with the same string
sometimes if it brakes close to the tuner you can loop the sting back together, but very rarely 🤔
Do I have to change all the strings or could I just change the broken one?
No, you don't need to change all the strings . . changing just the broken one would be fine 😊😃
My guitar strings are the hard ones to press down. Do you make your own guitars Sir ?
Hi Richard . . . No I don't . . I like the light strings that are easy to press down.
Mine doesn't have pegs. Strings just go through the hole and wrap around the wood. It's real pain to fix it
It sounds like a classical guitar, this video might help ua-cam.com/video/DDqO_jP9C5c/v-deo.html 😃
If you pur a pick up on it it wont be priced 40 ponds. It has long resonance and reverb for a 40 pounder
Yeahhh the string got chopped in half. I did it wrong
