Hiya from the UK 🇬🇧 😊 It's pronounced Ray ❤ The Royal Albert Hall is a prestigious venue in London. She is singing with the London philharmonic orchestra, which is an epic orchestra. She is an independent artist and broke free from her label who had treated her very badly and wouldn't let her release an album and only allowed her to put out dance music as a feature with other artists. Raye is also a very talented songwriter (she has written for Beyonce, John Legend, Little Mix, Charli XCX etc) and she is also a musician. Her heritage is Ghanaian Swiss British 😊 she grew up singing gospel at church (she's christian) and loves live music and performing with live musicians and a choir. Her performances of feeling good, it's a man's man's world, her Tiny Desk set, the thrill is gone at the Mercury awards, her BRITs performance, her SNL performances of escapism and also worth it are all beautiful performances. She is exceptionally good live as a vocalist and never performs her songs in the same way twice. Her album is also fantastic and so is her music video and song genesis. She loves to tell stories with her music and I love that! X
