I really enjoyed this video Ken. The music was enjoyable and you guys revealed that you are time travelers. Not just time lapse but, time travelers. 🤔😊 It gives you time to have more of your special coffee ☕🥯🌄🤠🕺💪👍
Solid 2x6 construction and 12 ft height is real nice.👍 (Ken made a Blooper and said 10ft walls at start of video) Would make a spacious house for someone if Attic Trusses used!
Ken I've been watching your videos for. And I finally subscribed. You and your team make it look so easy. I like watching your videos from start to finish. Keep up the good.
Good morning gentlemen. I so enjoyed your VLOG. Love the music. Especially the first one. GOD BLESS EACH of YOU and YOUR FAMILY'S. LOVE and PRAYING with you in JESUS'S NAME AMEN HALLELUJAH SHALOM 🛐 BLESSED NEW YEAR 🎉🎉🎉 FROM SE MICHIGAN
I like the end of year review your work throughout the year. As a time lapse it works great. But if you’re able to bring in some issues that each build presented.
You fellas make it look so flippin easy and myself as a man who did basically the same thing with my small business years ago can testify that is VERY far from factual! Just years of working and rectifying mistakes make things look that way…… Excellent as usual Ken! Very enjoyable. Happy New Year to you, the family, and Chad and Big Dan!🎉🎉🎉 💥
Where is the plastic that goes under the concrete........ Just kidding. I now pause your videos when the dogs are being distracting. Great video. Solid build.
Good stuff as always and I always enjoy watching your videos while I drinking my morning coffee. I do have a couple of questions; does the paper barrier help prevent termites (I assume termites are in your neck of the woods) because it looks like you use regular timber on the base plate. I live in Utah and I had extensive termite damage from before I bought my house. Here we have pressure treated lumber that is now code for ground and concrete contact. My house was being held up by sheer gumption! But I’ve replaced much of the damage wood and fortunately the termite treatment happened on someone else’s dime. And would you ever consider metal framing? Thanks!!
@@SaltCreekFarmsteadUp on the East bench of Salt Lake. However, my nephew has some termite damage at his place in Saratoga Springs so I hate to say Happy Valley isn’t immune. Maybe a bit random, but not completely without termites. But it’s more common in the older homes, so depending on when your place was made might make a difference because codes changed to address termites. My house was built in 1941 before any treated wood was used. Which is a shame because some of the wood I’ve pulled out for my reno is heavy, old growth wood. So I hope it was a good, final meal!! 😂
Didn't notice until now, but your sill plate is common and not PT. Is that why you use the sill seal foam? Here in south Florida, the wood that touches concrete/block must be PT. Just curious. Thanks for sharing
Have you ever had a power trowel not start? When I was a teenager my Dad and I poured a 24 x48 slab by ourselves and the power trowel wouldn't start. Hand screeded it. Needless to say no brooming it... only shop vac. 😩
This is probably a dumb question, but could you tell me why trusses at the ends are different than the rest, is it that the end ones are stronger? Sorry for my ignorance.
Love your team and you Ken. So much fun to hear your humor with Dan and Chad. Your videos are uplifting and educational. My favorite UA-cam channel...
Thanks so much
Man alive! You should do everything all over again! We miss your cheery voice and all of the tidbits of the build! I feel like I was robbed!
Sorry

Ken 👋 can you please do a video on laying out the costs of Gembral Garage home?
I think the music is fine. Ppl can mute their audio if they wish to not hear it!
Yikes! No music please! I listen to and watch your videos, in part, because they are peaceful.
Happy New Year Ken. May you find time to work in your layout and run trains
Thanks I have a train video coming out tomorrow

Hi from Austria! Which dimensions have the planks for such a tall wall? I'm watching your videos already for 2 years - they are amazing.
Thanks for watching. 2x6 walls
🇨🇦
Nice garage, likely high roof.
Thanks
PULL THAT REBAR UP...😮😂
Wow that was super fast. Are the walls on this build 10' ? Or 8' ? Looks so tall .
12’
👍👍💜❤️
I’m visiting my daughter here in New Hampshire. I noticed you’re only about 90 minutes away. Do you allow visitors to come watch you work?
I’m just working in the shop now.it might not be that exciting

Termites are not a big problem here
What part of Utah? I’m in Utah county and we don’t usually have termite problems here.

I guess it doesn’t show well but we always use pressure-treated on the bottom plate. Thanks for watching.
Do you guys have to leave your nails loose on the vinyl siding for expansion and contraction like we do in Kansas?
Yes we do

Wow thankfully ours started every time
👍👍🇧🇪
Yep! Time for music to go!!
Thanks for the comment
Hey guys, do you work in Massachusetts? I live in Billerica ma, Im plan to do to a inlaw in my garage 24x24 .
Sorry we don’t
What slump do you pour your floors at?

@@david-ow3nv thank you David!
Hows the weather?
Much colder now than when we shot this video
What should this cost in NW Oregon? I'm trying to do something similar and getting bids 4x
Wow
True
In california, about $256,000,000, but that includes the "Lumber Tax!"
A steel building would be half the cost.
I need to learn to work faster
Haha
