Yeah man you can walk off with my 100,000 dollars.
Legend has it he went to get milk
"Can I walk away with it for a few hours?"....Goes to Canada !!
Must be nice to be that well known and that good of a reputation where some dude will let you walk around with a $100,000 card.
Compared to the rest of the card market yes. Compared to the card stock no. People that didn't collect as a kid or teenager don't understand the memories cards bring back as well as the history of the sport you are collecting. Jordan is the GOAT.
Update: a BGS 8 of that card sold for $22,000 and change in March 2024.
I actually had a set of Star cards. Bought them from a flea market. I had this exact card. Damn that brought back memories.
And you had the real version 4sure
@@jibcoolio7 to
I remember back in the day, the 85xrc was booking in becket for a 1k, and the 86 fleer for 600, that 85 star should be worth more than the 86 fleer, grab what you can,
This is MJ’s rookie card and is far rarer than the Fleer 86. This is a great investment and could be the next Mickey Mantle 52 card.
Lol it's down big time but sure 😅
Son, can you walk with the man for a couple of hours 😂
I have the 86fleer in a Beckett 8.
After 30 years PSA decides out of nowhere let's grade this card. Seems shady to me.
Couldn't agree more They collected as many as they could now flooding the market
A couple of years ago I put together a complete 1983-84 Star set. That was fun and I might pick up some other stars and rookies but the thought of not being able to complete all three sets stops me from pursuing it.
It might 100k but PSA 10 86fleer is always king
They have a 1986 fleer Michael Jordan psa 10 selling for $500,000 on eBay.
No $100K trust issues here. 😂
If a rookie card of any kind wasn't printed in the rookie year of the players rookie year, then it shouldn't be worth anything.
How old are you 9?
This set was re-printed out the back door in the 90s at some point.
How do you know
@@jacksonwidaman8261 its very well known if you been in the card circles for more than 10yrs you woulda probably then heard of it when the owner restarted the presses several years later and sold them out the back door.
Comes back with $100,000 in Will Greir cards....
And I have this card. Had it since 88. Cousin gave me it me.
WOW! These dealers selling cards will let a customer walk around with a 100k Jordan for a couple hours????
PSA 10 fleer Michael Jordan is selling for $500,000 on eBay.
That's a ripoff, don't buy it. One went last week from Goldin for 210k and that includes buyer's premium. 500k price is long gone for now.
I remember when they were $1700 and I was like OUCH, oh how we miss opportunities. Wealthy people are good about thinking into the future, bet man I was a kid in the 90s where they lost money on the cards because of all the ink and paper they used lol
He's the only man I would let walk away with it.
Guy took him lol
thats insane
A PSA 8 just sold on Goldin for 67K…. Tough investment Jeff.
Exactly why he said let me walk this for two hours
Ohhhhh ok owner said 3000 so I'm sure he's an honest guy that card could be made on a Commodore 64
These cards were reprinted alot. That's why psa wouldn't touch them.
All these cards appear out of nowhere......30 years on.
Shady AF
I rented an upstairs to my big house years back, it was to a guy who used to own a card shop, he rolled in a TON of cards, all in the boxes new, who knows the real story but they do sit in boxes and this guy got his hands on them
The top one has printing dots
Ones on ebay becket 8 for 33,000 or best offer. Soooo give it a couple years.
I seen on ebay same card in a psa 4 sold for 99 cents. Facts
Wow that's good news, I have 3 of these cards in a mint 9 and 2of the fleer Jordan rookie cards in a PSA 9 !
Yeah those are fake sorry
@@apapz3245 right no he doesn't
Little boy needs attention
He's right, more rare, the 86 fleer basketball is really expensive junk wax, for real.
Oh crap, I think I have a set of those😮
Can I walk this around and…. No
Tengo 300 tarjetas a la venta de la NBA de los 90
I have an 86’ Star Celtics team set….anyone?
card sold for $900K
Can I walk with it for a couple hours lmmfao yeah sure lol I would be like heck nahhh
He bought it
Did you buy it? Part 2?
I have this card in a psa 9 so sweet 😂❤
You literally have the only PSA 9 in existence!!! Nice bro!!! 👏👏👏
I actually believe that the Michael Jordan collegiate card . I believe in 84'.. when he played for the USA Olympic basketball team as already signed in the NBA . I'd love some feedback on why it isn't the truest rookie card ???
Its probably the rarest for sure and the card by collegiate co. Still playing for north Carolina but he was already signed....I believe so
Still waiting for Geoff to show proof of this purchase. Dude is a sham job.
Look folks a card I have absolutely no care in owning….price is going down Bob barker!
He’s only waiting two hours to see what it sells for at auction. He’s locked in at 100k but if it goes lower he wins again
Last one sold for 64,000 lol
@@johnnyv1938 exactly why he waited two hrs lol 😂
What does walk this card around actually mean?
See what people think its worth
Those cards have no production info what so ever but ALL OF A SUDDEN PSA is grading them scam
You can't go from not accepting them to grading them 30yrs later (after Beckett or PSA collected as many as they could)
It's very rare I believe that how much it will go for probably more.dude if u buy it never ever sell it unless you getting triple 100k or never sell it keep it as a collectibles
Bruh
It's worth what someone will pay you for it.
It's a luxury item to some, others it's worthless cardboard
I would never buy that card too many good quality fakes
News flash. All these cards are worthless. Just buy a printer and make one yourself if you want it that bad
@@bobbywest8460 exactly. I've seen more than 300 of that card personally myself. Tons of them were floating around in the early 90's.
@@inkd42088
Reprinted ones..
@@KingKuba1313 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🤡
Yea there are 1000 times more reprints of this card than the original. A lot of people think they have this card but it’s a very slim chance you have an original 85 star Jordan. More than likely it is a re-print
yea, but to this dudes testament, wouldnt it b possible to essentially make a reprint and pass it off as an original? There cant b that many security features in a cheap ass card like that
Geoff did you buy it
He did. He posted full video
Star company did a second run star cards. So there is 2nd run on these cards in the market
3000 my ass.
Definitely lost money if he bought it. Very valuable card but not that valuable.
I remember seeing these in dealer cases in the 90s.. what is this didn't even exist comment
PSA wasn't grading them until recently. So he's referring to them in the PSA case, not the card itself.
Terrible investment. Rare doesn't mean good. 51 Bowman Mantle will NEVER be the 1952 Topps. Also, the owners of Star were shady AF. Ask Ken. He was in bed with them and shop at home. Hit me up.....
Butxhh I did the raaacceee🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
Is there any way to distinguish between the remake from the 90s? Most importantly can the graders tell the difference?
Good thing this hobby has become out of hand. Good thing though, I enjoy watching people throw their money into the wind over a piece of card stock. 😂
Rt
They use to sell for $20! All the star cards are garbage cards!
artificial scarcity?
Hey there been seen your video's I just saw a psa 9 for $40,000
So the 9 would be a good buy for $40,000 ?
It has an OC qualifier correct?
@@kabtown5631 could this get regraded without the qualifyer?
@@jeffbrown8277 You could definitely (there's an option on the submission form), but without the qualifier then you're probably talking a 7 or lower
Star cards were NOT pack pulled. Sets came in a cellophane plastic wrapper. How can this card EVER be worth more than ‘86-‘87 Fleer Jordan card is beyond comprehension.
@@ammocan2796 In the nine months since my comment, I have flipped my opinion to the Star cards being MJ's true rookie. I liken it to the '51 Bowman Mantle vs '52 Topps Mantle RC debate. The '51 is the RC, the '52 Topps is Mantle's first Topps, not his true rookie.
I feel 100k is fairly accurate. Could go higher.
More rare...yes...more valuable....no.
It will only go up
Hi mamas
@@gmaclastname6666😂😂😂
First
No, the guy is just being biased because he has those shitty 84 star cards. I don’t care if they’re considered his real rookie card actually the 86 fleer is the most desirable and considered his best rookie card, even though he was already in the league two years, trust me the 86 fleer will always be his best rookie card without a doubt.
This card will always be more valuable than the '86 Fleer. It is however, hard to beat that iconic photo on the '86 Fleer.
