The stock diff in these is the same as the mk3 supra and can handle just over 1250 hp stock diff. The 1jz non vvti can handle about 500 hp stock before the shimless buckets in the head start giving out.
Disappointed with this car, everyone has been asking for the Toyota Chaser. I guess we should have been more specific, we want the 1998 Toyota Chaser Tourer V not this one.
You do not speak for all of us. I like this car. Many others do as well. It's nice to have a car that's never been added to a game. Your beloved x100 has.
Why is it that every new car they added (like the Stegia, and even a copied car, the Mk4 Supra) is all automatics?! Even this one is too! It's getting irritating... something so small means something so great to people.
@SKi_Maskk03 My guess is good condition manuals are probably harder to source for the laser scans/reference models, so they had to settle for automatic models. A lot of the car modelling for Forza is outsourced, so they probably aren't concerned with transmission types and just scan whatever car they can get their hands on.
@@hedwigtheowl most Chasers, particularly Avante and GT models typically had the digital dash, the analogue one was in lowered spec'd models like the Raffine or a low spec Avante
@@tolkien777 You are correct but in 1991 (the refresh year for the x80) Toyota was starting to phase away from digital dashboards. Not all '91-92 gt tt models came with digital dashboards. Would've been cool though.
Even the Chaser couldn’t escape the dreaded “Forza Aero”…
🤣🤣🤣🤣 very true
they actually recorded the sounds
In my opinion, this is one of the best 6 cylinder sounds in the game.
@@reiki7550 literally identical to the supra in the game
I really hope this means that they’re doing a Japan game😭the Japan pack and now an actual chaser has to mean something!
Glad they added it.. though an actual 1jz has a more satisfying deeper tone with an aftermarket exhaust
@@GudiiOnCars you understand that this is the non vvti 1jz right ? They sound different from the vvti 1jz
The non vvti has a deep tone too with an aftermarket exhaust. I have videos of Jzx 80, 90, 100 and 110 with aftermarket exhausts@@aksdan7783

theres actually no way the stock engine makes 1,200 hp fully upgraded 😮💨
@SmolCommunity I mean it is a JZ so it's not too surprising..
The stock 2J in the Mk4 Supra can get to 1,600 🙃

First 1jz in forza
so there’s no any bumpers in customization menu?
No, only ugly Forza parts.

Disrespecting a car just because you don't know it
As someone who owns one of these niche JZX81 I was ecstatic to find it added.

Hard to find clean examples in manual that a kid didn't mod in some way at this point
Because most were offered in automatics with this trim?
You do know you can go into your difficulty settings and change it to manual right?
@@zeaxx12 not what I meant. I play every racing game in manual.
Doesn't even have a digital dash like it's supposed to 😢
It was an optional back in a day.
