Here comes a wave Meant to wash me away A tide that is taking me under Swallowing sand Left with nothing to say My voice drowned out in the thunder But I won't cry And I won't start to crumble Whenever they try To shut me or cut me down I won't be silenced You can't keep me quiet Won't tremble when you try it All I know is I won't go speechless 'Cause I'll breathe When they try to suffocate me Don't you underestimate me 'Cause I know that I won't go speechless Written in stone Every rule, every word Centuries old and unbending Stay in your place Better seen and not heard But now that story is ending 'Cause I I cannot start to crumble So come on and try Try to shut me and cut me down I won't be silenced You can't keep me quiet Won't tremble when you try it All I know is I won't go speechless Speechless Let the storm in I cannot be broken No, I won't live unspoken 'Cause I know that I won't go speechless Try to lock me in this cage I won't just lay me down and die I will take these broken wings And watch me burn across the sky Hear the echoes saying I Won't be silenced Though you want to see me tremble when you try it All I know is I won't go speechless Speechless 'Cause I'll breathe When they try to suffocate me Don't you underestimate me 'Cause I know that I won't go speechless All I know is I won't go speechless Speechless
My problem is I know all the bits and pieces and minor note changes and riffs from listening to it a million times, BUT I struggle with belting high notes :( I love this song so much it's probably one of my favourite songs of all time and I wish I could just belt it and really feel it.
I cant imagine the way you teach us ...its marvelous , lovely,Awesome I really loved it ..., I request you to plz make a video on My heart will go on....
You are a really good singer, and speechless is my favorite song, but to be honest some parts of the song like “you can’t keep me quite!” Is out of tune, especially the “me” part. But, your lessons are really good!
I hear you! YAS! This really wasn't about me singing it perfectly but helping others to sing better. If I were to perform this song, I would clearly need to practice more. Thanks for watching
U ARE GREAT, HERE COMES A WAVE, JUST AMAZING, UR HIGH NOTES ARE INCREDIBLE, ACTUALLY U SING MORE BETTER THE THE REAL SONG. VERYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY NICE, LIKED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
You sound fantastic! I learned a lot (including the correct notes, lol) watching this video! Especially the singing techniques she uses. This just shows everyone what technique can do when you sing songs that traverse the into the pop genre, which is what I've noticed with contemporary Disney songs. I also love your attention to both the diction, timbre, and singing technique in this really challenging song. As you mentioned, it's not so much the melody, but the array of techniques she uses in conjunction with her stylistic approach that make this song challenging and give it life. When you sing alto, you use slightly different vocal technique and a different part of your vocal cord to give it more oomph. You can lower your larynx to also help lower your pitch and darken your tone. I also notice a lot of singers think they're confined to a specific range, but it's mostly because they're trying to use the same tool kit to sing a different register. The reality is that each register is unique and has different techniques as well as different section of the vocal cord with different muscle coordination, and it also takes practice to create a seamless passagio between these. It's like using a violin to hit cello notes and tone, different registers are like different related instruments. Likewise you can shift your vocal technique to sing lower notes. If you use only one part of your cords, you're not gonna be able to reach certain notes. Another example is like using baseball pitching techniques for shot put. You use a very different technique to throw heavy balls versus lighter balls. So it's definitely possible for you to do alto, and even contralto if you want to go that far down (Dianna Ankudinova is 15 and sings even lower in a baritone to tenor range, which is crazy). I suggest listening to Dimash Kudaibergen. He showcases about 5 octaves in his performance of Diva Dance at his Bastau solo concert, and virtually all classical singing techniques under the sun, lol. Dimash is so incredibly inspirational. I've started working again on my soprano (1) and whistle registers because of him. Contralto to soprano 2 are comfortable for me, but I haven't learned many songs that are soprano 1, so hitting notes squarely in the 6th octave are not very graceful yet, lol. Like, I can get away with a C6-E6 without much power, but since I didn't have any songs in my repertoire that had those notes, I didn't practice much. But now with the Diva Dance, I have a fun and challenging practical application for these notes, lol.
I watched this once and next day my singing improved! Thank you so much! Now i just cant remember the stylizes Naomi does. I need a sheet music to read to hit the same notes
Thank u this improves my singing from 1 to 10!!! Plus tip if u do the hand movements like her it’ll REALLY helped. But I just can’t do the growl on come on any tips anyone?
Hey I love ur lesson! I was just wondering when u sing high notes are you using your chest voice, mixed voice, or head voice? Whenever I sing in chest voice it’s so much strain and my voice cracks but when I use head voice there’s no power in my voice at all.
I will be there soon to eat from home so we will be there at like a little more time for you guys to eat from home so I don't have a little more time for you to be there for you to eat from home so I can do that yet but I'm so happy 😊😁😁😁
Hi! Amazing video! How do you make you high notes soud so clean? I'm having much trouble making my high notes sound right. They have way too much air on them and I can't correct it
Too much air and probably not enough support. I'd love to hear you and see how I can help. If you want to email me a sound clip of where you'd like help my email is serenevocalstudio@gmail.com
Here comes a wave
Meant to wash me away
A tide that is taking me under
Swallowing sand
Left with nothing to say
My voice drowned out in the thunder
But I won't cry
And I won't start to crumble
Whenever they try
To shut me or cut me down
I won't be silenced
You can't keep me quiet
Won't tremble when you try it
All I know is I won't go speechless
'Cause I'll breathe
When they try to suffocate me
Don't you underestimate me
'Cause I know that I won't go speechless
Written in stone
Every rule, every word
Centuries old and unbending
Stay in your place
Better seen and not heard
But now that story is ending
'Cause I
I cannot start to crumble
So come on and try
Try to shut me and cut me down
I won't be silenced
You can't keep me quiet
Won't tremble when you try it
All I know is I won't go speechless
Speechless
Let the storm in
I cannot be broken
No, I won't live unspoken
'Cause I know that I won't go speechless
Try to lock me in this cage
I won't just lay me down and die
I will take these broken wings
And watch me burn across the sky
Hear the echoes saying I
Won't be silenced
Though you want to see me tremble when you try it
All I know is I won't go speechless
Speechless
'Cause I'll breathe
When they try to suffocate me
Don't you underestimate me
'Cause I know that I won't go speechless
All I know is I won't go speechless
Speechless
I not like what you say l love what you say
