Her pronunciation is incredible. Most kpop artists who have covered this you could tell an accent, and even then the ones who dont cant pronounce the "th" sound that's super hard in english and siyeon just destroyed it, it was so incredibly fluent, I couldn't pronounce it this well

to some people in the comments saying she used autotune and that she isn't that good --- in dreamcatcher's case, autotune is often used to give a certain effect on the members' voices to fit a certain vibe, or to make the vocals sound cleaner and better mixed with the instruments. however, dreamcatcher company does NOT alter their pitch, vocal tone, or overall technique.
in this cover, you can clearly hear siyeon's breath and vibrato (which is impossible to obtain through a program).
a clear sign the autotune is being used is that there is no tension on your face and/or the singer's mouth isn't wide enough for the note they're singing to be real.
even the most experienced of singers have a little tension on their faces and make certain movements with their mouths to enhance their pronounciation or add a certain texture to their voice, which you can see siyeon is doing here.
if you don't like this specific cover, there's no problem! siyeon has many other great covers --- such as the one of exo's overdose or alan walker's faded :)

Well I discovered dreamcatchers today from a UA-cam short then discovered this gem called siyeon
I thought mamamoo vocals where amazingly beautiful but she takes the cake cause hers are effortlessly angelic and captivating
She's a mixture of Nicole (Kara) look wise, hwasa (mamamoo) attitude wise and so-yeon (t-ara) vocal wise
Siyeon is a rare voice in K-Pop. She's actually has more of a band singer style since she was in a metal band growing up. Her style is such a unique touch to dreamcatcher

Living in SE Asia, I speak like three languages which are Chinese, English and Malay.
It takes alot of practice to pronounce english properly especially if your native tongue is any asian language tbh ( Chinese/Japanese/Korean etc.)

The first dreamcatcher member I discovered was SuA. I heard her sing and thought damn she’s an amazing main vocal. Then I found out she was a sub vocalist and sat like 😳 for ages. I then heard Yoohyeon and JiU and thought ahh there must be 2 main vocals! Leads?! 😳 what?!😳 It made me really curious to see how good Dreamcatcher’s main vocal would be. And damn she doesn’t disappoint 😳😍 Sorry but I don’t think even the biggest girl groups have better vocalists than Dreamcatcher. Even Dreamcatcher’s rappers have cute asf singing voices😭 Why are they so underrated? They deserve better

It’s completely weird to me to see comments even mentioning auto tune, but that just shows that those people have never heard any of the Dreamcatcher members sing before. They don’t need and have never used auto tune, but it’s funny seeing people who know nothing about them try to come up w/ anything to discredit how well Siyeon covered this song. They can stay salty all they want, but that won’t stop Siyeon from having an amazing voice.

Ppl talking about English, accents.. *This is JASMINE's song* She wasn't a British princess to start with, she was *The Princess of Agrabah* :) Let that sink in.. imagine if Mary Poppins sings in Hindi accent and someone from Russia covers that, then ppl are complaining that she should sound more Indian? :) What's the point to complain about an accent? Disney should have cast someone closer to the source to start with, but they prob couldn't find Agrabah on the map :) Siyeon did an excellent work as far as English and singing, and her delivery was second to none, including the muted, heavily processed orig version that didn't even made the top 5 in delivery..
Agrabah isn't a real place,,,Jasmine is an Arabian princess, so the setting is based on the Arab and Persian worlds .... sooo middle east and north Africa now,,, I appreciate you trying to defend Siyeon but your statements are incorrect and your example is kinda invalid and doesn't make sense.

@Jay Lee Sure, Scott's mom is Indian/African descent, but a partial line on her mom's side is far from casting an Arabian actress (and yes, there are plenty excellent ones in the US/UK too, if that makes it easier for Disney) I think they could have done better, *especially* that Disney admitted, they were "darkening" white actors for Aladdin. (this whole thing reminds me of the questionable casting of Johansson in the "Ghost in the shell")
As far as audience/box office: unlike in the old days, now a movie can bring in more $$ internationally (including non-western countries) than domestically so that wouldn't be a good excuse for Disney. Unfortunately you're right about the last part, but that's just question of education. Hopefully that will change and better casting could be a step in the right direction. -- For the record I have nothing against Scott, but I found her performance flat and monotone and just loud at the second half (music director dropped the ball). Yelling and "feeling the song" is not the same. Siyeon's voice and delivery can fly circles around that, and Scott had an orchestra + a legion of tech ppl helping her.

드림캐쳐를 모르고 시연을 모르는 사람들은 흉내를 낸다고 생각을 할 수 있지만 드캐노래를 듣고 이곡을 다시 들으면 왜 디즈니가 박수를 치고 갔는지 이해가 될거다 흉내내는게 아닌 100프로 시연이 목소리, 시연이가 해석한 감정으로 부르는것이기 때문에... 진심으로 모든 커버들 중에 시연이 커버가 최고라고 팬심 살짝 넣어서 생각해본다
