I own one of these and they hurt like hell when your shot by one, and its range is actually better than most of my other nerf guns without the barrel

I think this was my first nerf gun when I bought it a bit after college for fun.
I wanted something with an almost steampunk flintlock feel, and I found that the grip was nearly the perfect size for me, and that if I held it at arms length I could hook the stock nicely againt my elbow or shoulder, although having my arm outstretched was a weird feeling. I think it's definitely meant for an almost cinematic red dead feel, rather than actual battles.
Fun design if you wanted a Ceremonial Weapon or something. Probably fund to mod, but not good for Actual Combat.

Honestly I think that this blaster is just for fun. Some blasters just have a cool concept, but modding this would make it better

I've had this nerf gun for a while now, and I'm pretty satisfied with it. (AFTER replacing the spring, and removing air restriction of course) From my experience pressing the button is not required at all to remove the blaster from the "holster" and with a sufficiently powerful spring it makes for a fairly accurate pistol.
With my sharpfire, ive noticed that of you push the elite dart all of the way back into the breach, the velocity and range increase drastically
It reminds me of G1 Megatron's gun mode with the massive stock and barrel attachment that it had for some reason
I think there's something important that most reviewers are missing Hasbro makes Nerf, Hasbro makes Transformers, I really thing the G1 Megatron design was a major influence on this gun.
On that note, how has there never been a Megatron that turns into a working Nerf gun? It would be a match made in heaven!
Its performance and practicality may suck, but it's perfect for a Murder game type.

I bought one of these yesterday, its arriving on Saturday
watching this made me regret buying it.
It’s god some really good modifications for it and I’m thinking of getting one, making it magazine fed, brassing the barrel, and also making a bolt action mechanism for it. Half length darts are better if you look into that mod.
I use this as a backup. If my alpha trooper is out of ammo, I draw my sharpfire in pistol mode. For me, I don’t have to press the button to get it out. The stock acts as a holster.

I borrowed a Sharpfire for fun once, but it was quite old and performs substantially less than the one you have. However, the best thing about it is that it sounds like a suppressed pistol. The firing is ultra quiet and when firing without a loaded dart. I can say for sure that my Sharpfire desperately wants to be a welrod.

I have two of the newer sharpfires partly for dual wielding but mostly for the lels. The new ones don't actually fully lock when you put the gun into the stock backwards, so it actually does work as a holster and can be quick drawn.
Also I came up with the world's stupidest nerf class:
Class name: Hunter
Primary: Sharpfire, rifle configuration
Secondary: Sharpfire, pistol configuration
Pros: Super light weaponry, so can move at full speed unrestricted
Cons: Pretty much everything else--the only person I'd see doing worse is someone who only uses Jolts.

Very nice. My personal favorite pistol will always be the Hammershot while my favorite rifle at this point is the Slingfire. What can I say I am a sucker for western style blasters. Lol. Thanks for the reply by the way. I really love your work.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought of a NES Zapper when I saw it. Though if you wanna do a Metal Gear style thing this could be a nice stand in for his dart gun so you can put people to sleep.

I think Nerf's running out of ideas
If they remake the normal nerf staple as mega blasters (stryfe, recon, longshot) which they may do it'll be great. Bigger bullets means bigger guns bigger guns are better for adults.
The crossbolt and it's ilk are using a "new" string launch system. I say new as in new to nerf toys. But yeah.
They do have the upcoming modulus line which no one knows anything about

This gun is just a quick product they produced with the simple idea of making another "transforming" blaster like the Deploy. Both this and the Deploy were crap, this is just a gimmick blaster made just to get a few extra bucks.
I wouldn't get it, but for some reason, I think it seems like a neat little concept. It also looks kind of cool, in my opinion.

My sharp fire sometimes won’t prime all the way. Sometimes the priming handle sticks out a small bit. I have had it since 2016

Pretty disappointed with this blaster, I thought we were finally going to get a decent sniper.
I repainted this as a Megatron looking thing. Silver in the middle, black on both ends. It's actually pretty close.

The por performance is due to the grey trigger. The color difference is for countries that have laws to cap firing range on blasters. An example would be Australia

I use this as my back up but I modded it to shoot far I gave it a bigger handle and made the loading less stiff to improve load speed removed the stock and the extra barrel

I have one of these and something I learned by testing ir myself is that the stock takes away from your accuracy and I learned this one day when I was shooting at a pez dispencer to see how many triea it would take I had the stock on and I missed every time but I took it off and the very next shor after that I saw the pez dispencer go down and the I took off the barrel attachment and again another one shot on a SMALL pez dispencer.
The sharpfire doesn't actually suck. It has pretty good range stock but there's just one flaw. The slide does not lock fully forward so that catch in front of the barrel is slightly raised when you are ready to fire. Holding the slide forward as you pull the trigger usually helps get that catch fully out of the way and gives the shot a much straighter tragectory. Accuracy wise it is only as good as it's darts.
Actually, this is my favorite one yet.
It's a good secondary, but I sometimes even use it as a primary. It's pretty hard to load if you're playing like me, you know, in the dark.
I would use this and add a woodgrain stock and guard to make a breach loading rifles like the ones used in the Zulu-Anglo war
Mine was very underpowered so I upgraded it by making the spring tighter when you pull back the slide.
Just replace the spring and bang out the air restrictor and you have a completely different weapon. Easily shoots elite ranges, maybe better. Defo recommend.

Coop, I personally really like this blaster and I'm not sure why.I have supplemented the stock spring with a spare maverick spring, and I'm getting elite performance. This does make the trigger pull really weird. It's more of a yank than a pull. Any suggestions?
I feel as if it is easy to shove brass or any performance enhancing items down the barrel and getting good range after replacing the spring.
The reloading sound is so satisfying though

I wouldn't use this as my primary, but i like how this looks like from Star Wars Rouge One: Jyn Erso's A180 Blaster or The Mandalorian's IB-94 Blaster Pistol.
If you do a spring upgrade it could have some potential
the grey trigger variant is also noticeably lower power than the orange trigger varient
For me mine is slightly broken but in a good way. I actually can holster mine without having to press the button but it still stays on great when I use the stock.
This would be cool if you combined it with a Stryfe and used this she'll but change the grip and mechanism for the Stryfe s fly wheel awesomeness and kept the barrel and gun shape
I could see it for more tactical purposes. something you might choose and leave around the battlefield for some sneaky tricks, like what the antagonists in the Hateful 8 did with their hidden pistols. Not a practical gun nor a super effective gun. A sneaky one though with a few uses but not much else.
magazine feeder mod would be brilliant
they don't work in nerf (breech loading that is) because the darts are so flimsy, you have to squish it to get it in
this gun is really cool actually only thing i didnt like is when u load a dart in, the dart has to bend a bit, so you end up with bent darts

You wanna know what I would make based on this if I was Hasbro? I would add a magazine and maybe change it to a smaller dart.
Despite the lack of performance, I have walked around my office and successfully struck fear into my fellow co-workers with this little toy. That's all that really matters to me at the end of the day. ;-)
Don't know what's worse... the fact that you take this to work and carry it around the office or the fact that a nerf gun puts "fear" into your co-workers. Lol
I had a Sharpfire, I tried to remove the ARs to try and give it worth to me but it was to hard and the internals were to overly complicated, so I threw it out, I don't miss it
I managed to put one dart into the breach, and drop to darts into the barrel, and created a triple shot. It's dumb, and inaccurate, but it is kinda fun. Double Shot works better, it's more accurate

I have this gun and I don't think it's too bad. I personally enjoy using the blaster.
