Another tip for cutting washi into a banner is to make your first cut up the middle from the bottom, then cut from each corner to that middle point....always even.
Never thought of using washi to make a box! I just got my ROYGBIV 2 stickerbooks and washi today--love them! 💛💛

If you fold the washi.. (hotdog) you can cut the banners easier.

Maremi SmallArt has a channel that included making Christmas cards with washi. It was very similar to the cake idea, but she made Christmas trees and candles on blank cards. Very talented lady....definately check her out.
