  • Are these the outdoor smart patio lights you’ve always dreamed of? These are the Enbrighten WiFi Café Lights that work with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings. They’re a beautiful and well-constructed product, but let me take you through the good and the bad with these smart outdoor lights.
    Buy these #SmartCafeLights by @enbrightenbrand here: hubs.li/H0Wl4sm0
    Yes, Jasco paid us to complete this review of the Enbrighten cafe lights, but as always, I value the trust of my audience above all else.
    If you didn't know already, these are the Enbrighten Classic version of the cafe lights, not the Enbrighten vintage seasons led cafe lights. There are two versions of the Enbrighten Café LED string lights with these WiFi and smart home capabilities, so keep that in mind.

    These lights are AMAZING and the quality is unbelievable. I purchased two sets of the WiFi Seasons Vintage. A bit expensive, but worth every single penny.

    Hey Brian, love these lights, and they do look great in your setup. I haven't tried any new smart products in my home for a while beyond the basic WiFi smart bulbs, and amazon smart plugs I have.
    Always like to see what you find though, have a great day!

      @@AutomateYourLife You're welcome. I think my smart home Challenge lately has been trying routers ti find the one that is the right balance for me. That can be frustrating by itself. I think the one I have now, the Asus RT-AX86U is the right one for a while now. Very few problems, and things are just working now.

    Hey Brian, great video thanks for sharing. Just wanted to ask a question which is to some degree unrelated to this video but I am struggling with it. Few years back I had smart things hooked with few sensors, and Sonos speakers. I had a weather report automation through smartthings app which used to give weather report every morning and also some reminders through Sonos speakers at specific times. I changed home and went on rental and had to dismantle the setup after few years, I have now hooked everything up again and noticed the smart things app has changed and that weather report option is not there now. Is there anyway to bring it back on my setup now?

    • @AutomateYourLife
      @AutomateYourLife  2 роки тому +1

      You'll find weather as an automation trigger in the app. I don't know that it's a direct replacement, but that would allow you to be creative and create some reports out of your Sonos speakers.

      @iffie19 2 роки тому

      @@AutomateYourLife I can create a routine or scene but I am unable to find an option where sonos speaker could plat a weather report

    It was looking good until you mentioned Jasco as the company. After firmware fiasco on their Z-Wave switches, I am very hesitant about buying anythign from Jasco.
    That said, these do look well made and seem to work well. Are they only 2.4GHz WiFi? If I heard that right, I would say that is quite backwards in todays world when 5GHz has been around for so long. Did you have to disable 5GHz or have 2.4GHz separate in order for them to connect to WiFi?

    • @AutomateYourLife
      @AutomateYourLife  2 роки тому +1

      I did not! Funny story, I paired these with both Google Nest WiFi and Eero 6+ WiFi with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz enabled and with the same SSID. Soooo...no problems on my side! But yes, only 2.4 GHz.
      But that firmware thing...actually it was fully updated firmware. Just got told by Jasco...so the story's deeper than even the original breakdown Linus gave. But I'm glad they responded.

      I watched that and even chatted with Linus a bit. Keep in mind with any hub BEFORE Home Assistant...the firmware would've come through the hub and everything would have been fine. It's like having a driver that works with Windows, but nothing that comes through on Mac.
      Except Mac is a brand new OS that's just gaining popularity.
      So I think they did alright.

    Mmmm. Not sure about these ones. I agree that the build quality (looks) very strong etc, but they also look a bit too hefty/chunky for my taste. Also, here in the UK, they cost £477.

    Pro tip: when you're doing a review of a product like this, you might want to let people know HOW THEY ACTUALLY LOOK. You spent the entire review talking about automation and smart apps but somehow forgot to even mention the aesthetic quality which is pretty frigging important. We heard like 20 times the name of the brand but not a word about how they f**ing look. This is a complete fail.
