Love the video!
I have the S03, Cedar over Rosewood with cutaway. Couldn’t be happier. Quality guitar, love the tactile feel of the woods, looks are amazing and the tone is great. I chose the S03 because I love the warm balanced tone, the mids are strong but the trebles still ring out and the lows have enough punch. The electrics are great too. This is good to gig straight out of the box, (assuming you have a lead and an amp). Like the main review, I’m not a huge Ed Head, I would have preferred a main Lowden logo on the headstock, but that comes at a much higher cost. I love mine, it’s my couch guitar and, IMHO, it’s great value for money. Try it out, you’ve got nothing to lose and I think that you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Just tried out the whole series. Really dig the S03 cutaway spruce top w walnuts
sides and back. Great wide range with the built in LR Baggs tone button. From nice mellow warm, to punchy bright when plugged in to an amp. I think I’ll be getting that.
great video! love how yon break it down :) i preordered a w03 their launch weekend, had it setup and added a bone nut and saddle and it sings! cheers!
I own a W-04: Spruce over Figured Walnut. This is an amazingly good guitar, meticulously crafted, great to play, in every way I recommend it. I own a Collings, 700 series Taylor, Rainsong jumbo, a Martin 00-15 and several other fine instruments. I liked this one so well I bought one also for one of my talented 13 year old students whose parents could not afford the guitar she deserves. She loves it and her playing has progressed exponentially by having discipline, talent, and a fine guitar to play. The slightly over nine hundred dollars I paid for this guitar was nothing compared to the million dollar smile and tears of gratitude and joy she shed when I presented it to her. I would pay three times that amount just to watch her remarkable progress and the delight she cannot help but show as she works hard during her lessons. She is going to be a monster fingerstyle guitar player while still in her teens. One of the reasons besides her talent and work ethic is this guitar which has allowed her playing to blossom.
Glad to hear that😇😇😇😇😇
Cette élève beaucoup de chance de bénéficier de votre enseignement , et du cœur que vous y mettez. C'est vraiment un geste exemplaire. Bravo à vous, et je lui souhaite une belle carrière.
Bought one as soon as I heard that they exist.
I own one of the first S01. Love the guitar, its my couch guitar or when i need a guitar for outside. It sounds really great with fingerstyle. The guitar is very "sensitive". With a light touch you get a great tone. But its not the right guitar for hard strumming with a plectrum.
The guitars sound good but it helps that the playing is very clean!
Just going to put this out there for everyone who keeps saying these guitars sound like crap because of the strumming. This guitar is made by Lowden. Lowden is not known for building guitars that you strum hard or even with a pick. Everything they make is really made to be played with your fingers. That is where they shine and where these Sheeran guitars also shine, just not as bright as their $3,000-$4,000 counterparts. In short, if you are a hard strummer and play with a pick, I'm here to tell you that these guitars aren't for you.
Edit: I own a Martin GC MMV Dreadnaught and I love it. It sounds incredible as a strumming guitar and I have used it on many songs with producers asking to buy it off me, but the moment you play it with your fingers, it sounds like muffled garbage. Each guitar has a sweet spot and finger picking is not my Martin's.
I don't think their strumming sound is bad at all tbh.
I think it’s all personal preference honestly. I mean me personally, I don’t think it sounds to bad when he plays live, but then again, I don’t have a Lowden.
nice guitars
I own one it’s one of a kind out of 10 I played
Hi cool video
can you give me any hint on how i can strum guitar like you did in the video on1:50 give me name of the style or anything is fine.i am desperate to be able to strum like that
It seems like a variant of Travis Picking
Second Ed Sheeran ❤❤
I’m thinking of getting one. I want a W series either 2, 3 or 4. Which do you think has the best tone? Many thanks
I preferred the 03 models because of the warm tone. Try as many as you can, good luck!
Taylor GS mini
I got the W3 and it is amazing
They have a different sound to the usual and are definitely best suited to the "Ed Sheeran" style of playing. They are well made, very comfortable to play and sound great plugged in. I have an Equals Signature as the "always out" studio workhorse and campfire guitar. Two of my guitar player friends have tried it and were actually pretty impressed and surprised how good it was.
They're certainly not as bad as some are trying to make out they are but I don't think it helps having his name plastered across the headstock.
I’m getting a limited edition tour model.
Hi what is your opinion about tour edition guitar?
@@robertgryska3954 with the tour model its like getting all of his signature guitars in one go.
Im guessing you prefer the S-02!
W03
Just my opinion. But I personally think in the Sheeran price range, Martin and Taylor offer better sounding guitar's from Mexico. And Eastman too from a very consistent Chinese factory. YMMV.
.........and the Furch blue series blows all of these out of the water!
@@tbeau6663 having owned a mahogany dreadnought by both Furch and Eastman, I'd say that the Eastman is better. More responsive, louder and in my opinion,a better tone. But Furch are good too.
They Sound like a small, cheap guitar even with all the post processing on the sound.
To me they sound like toy guitars from Walmart...and please stop spanking those strings so much
To me is also absurd that some people didn’t hear how bad they are , the strumming part is awful
IMHO for the price they’re not so good ,
I can ear compression and reverb in the editing and they’re still sound boxy af .
Strumming is pretty bad (not you the guitar itself)
They sell it for 800€ maybe more.
I can beat them with a Yamaha csf3 Easily a 300€ guitar .
Pretty Shure that Taylor gs mini had a more balanced sound and still costs less.
George Lowden is a great luthier , if needed get a real lowden, or save your money .
check:
Yamaha (the are version)
Eastman , seagull , Taylor, recording king , prs p20, all much better sounding guitars
Check also the used guitars
Martin “0015 “ don’t go down from 15 series.
Guild m20 (usa version)
Gibson j15
Larrivee
Furch
If you’re Shure to play 99%of the time plugged in, you probably need something crafted by maton or Cole Clark.
Or just get a 300€ guitar and invest in a good pickup for example lr baggs anthem , Seymour Duncan mag mic , fish man rare earth blend.
You don’t have to look like your hero to play like him.:)
Don’t waste your money here it’s just marketing.
My “old man” 2 cents (I’m just trying to share my personal experience, if not now one day you all can ear the difference between a good guitar and a bad one) keep playing!
Peace
You an idiot ? Dreadnought sure sounds more louder , and bassy , warmer and boxy you want!!
Tiny guitars sounds Thiner + More on a Mid-Treble junkhead
If you want the best sounding , go with jumbo with a solid top idiot
Try to learn , try to read , it depends on the SIZE!!!
@@VaughnCordero I’m talking about best bang for your buck.
800€ are a lot of money and you can buy all the guitars I mentioned with that money .
No is not only the size that matter , and in any case Taylor gs mini is portable too costs less and play better. , Yamaha csfm too.
But kid calm down I’ve watched your videos and your play is bad also your singing.
I don’t think that you have enough experience to speak about sound.
For the owner of this channel , don’t delete this message , try to focus on this kid that call me Idiot just because I write a post.
Seen tonnes of issues with the PRS P2O's? Bridges being all over the place, starts falling to bits after 6 months. Not really gig worthy?
They are an overpriced mass produced laminate toy that Ed Sheeran wouldn't be seen dead playing. Don't waste a grand on a piece of shit like this.
