I am sure if you are watching this you probably want to grow on spotify. You want to get on spotify playlists or get more listeners on spotify. Well unfortunately, this video can help you, but in all the wrong ways. This video sheds light on artists who are listing famous or well established artists as features on songs that they are not actually featured on. And the artists that are doing this are able to gain hundreds, thousands, and potentially millions of plays with this cap activity.

To be fair, sometimes larger artists get tacked on as a feature by accident. Like one time I listed someone named "Paulo" as a featured artist, and when it went live on Spotify, Paulo Londra had been linked instead (12.5 million listeners). Even after asking my distributor to fix it several times, the issue was never addressed until Spotify removed the song months later.
It baffles me that Spotify still has no pre-approval process for featured artists with > 1 million listeners.

@@phargone ok so spotify usually detects streaming fraud when the plays are coming from the same location , so use a vpn to change location every 16 hours so thye dont ban you. trust me i ve been doin this since october of 2019 and it works, extra money on the side.

This is so MAD ANNNOYING BRO! Thanks for being a bigger voice to speak on this. Shit that also annoys the hell out of me, there are full channels on Spotify that completely upload songs THAT ARENT EVEN THEIRS!! Like, there was a leak for the song "Cold Savage" by Roddy Ricch, 22Gz, and Leeky Bandz that someone uploaded, and it's now gonna hit everyone's release radar because people they listen to are tagged. And these scammers are making easy money because now people can get what they want which is unreleased music without getting in any trouble.
That means with streaming fluctuations that projects going to make a minimum of $900 potentially per month with a possible uptake of $1,500 per month that's what Spotify paying their current streaming rate of .003 --.005 per stream

The beat in the song at 1:49 is produced by my cousin and the beat came with a hook. In the title of the Type Beat it video says ft iann Dior. I hope that makes sense, artists that use this beat sometimes think that the person that did the hook is iann Dior himself

Music producers, get splice, download top producers packs (Southside/Sonny digital etc), use the samples or drum loops and post the beat, list that producer as a feature in the title. Not illegal and not a lie 😜
I never understood these tactics. Like spamming links or tricking people to click on their channels cus just makes people dont want to listen to you ever again. Instead of doing that maybe make remixes, connect more with other artist like feats and communities, make a song that is controversial, very funny, or something shareable. idk find a creative idea that would make people click. Assuming your actually good then people will stay. If youre just new and an "ok" artist I suggest getting with other artist/communities to get better and you will come up "together". In this rap game everyone thinks they are good and deserve blessings but sorry that aint reality. Unless you have a label with money for promotion, you got to be like everyone else and start from the bottom.

Instead of being shady like this people should use Spotify’s A&R team and PAY for promo directly from Spotify. It’s not the cheapest option but it is not shady at all because Spotify offers this service. I highly suggest doing this

Ive noticed this with leaked songs as well, if you check out Lil Skies pages he has two songs Basics and Fake Smiles. Both of these weren’t officially released by Skies, they were leaked and uploaded to Skies page putting skies as the feature on the track.

For any producers out there this is a great way to find artists that are serious about buying beats and working with you. They have a high tolerance for risk and are usually less concerned with cash.
You can use clips of interviews of artists, call them a feature and have it be kinda legit

When you write the big artist’s as a feature, your distribution pays them a bit of what you should earn.
