I bought this book and I love it as well.
I have not tried other books (I cancelled by alfreds order after discovering this one), but definitely feel it was the right choice. In fact I ordered book 2 today as well.
I'm halfway through book 1 and the pace is very nice so far, and it's very suitable for learning on your own.
Since I'm interested in classical I really don't want to use my left hand for chords only, this book doesn't do only that, it makes you play melodies with the left hand as well, which is great.

The best thing is that after finishing the book you can move on with book 2, which is excellent too!

I used to learn piano when I was like 9. I did the prep test and was about to take grade 1 test when i stopped. I am 23 now and I want to start learning again. I know how to read music like the notes. But perhaps i have forgotten a few things? And im not sure how like when playing harder tunes how you decide when to move your hand etc? Would this be a good book for me or what would you think would be best for me? Thanks.

Hello! I am an adult beginner in my early twenties and have never played the piano, I primary want to be able to read music, understand theory and play popular music as a hobby so not necessarily delve too deep into the art or classical side. I've noticed there's the older beginner accelerated books (I believe there's four) and I can't figure out which one between the all-in-one you were talking about and the accelerated one would be best. Thank you!

Thanks for posting. What book would you recommend for an adult beginner who can read music (played trumpet in the past) and wants to learn classical style? THanks.

What if I can’t read music..should I still get the adult piano adventures all-in-one book 1? I’m just starting to learn how to play piano and I want to build the right technique from the beginning

Would you pick this over Alfred’s all in one? And if so why? I’m having trouble deciding between the two

I personally like this one more than Alfred’s. This is one uses pedal earlier on and different registers. In general I think it’s more fun.

I just started learning the piano and picked up a Roland FP10 and bought an ebook version of piano adventures. It's true you gradually learn to read the notes which is great but my question is would it still be a good idea to get flowkey as a supplement to learning how to play the piano? and would this book teach me enough skills to pull off classical music later on? Thank you!

@@mrzsmusiclessons That's all I needed to hear. Thank you! The lessons are slow for now but I don't want to rush either and miss a step.
