Both are great sounding pedals. The digital delay sounds were even in my opinion. I did prefer the Flashback on the analog and modulated modes however. I'm not really into reverse delays, so either one for that sound. I'll take the T.C. Flashback.
Recently picked up a Flashback 2 and by using the app was able to make nice 2290 modulated Delay. Only have a DD20 to compare it to which also has great modulation. To me the TC edges it out. I love the many mod choices you get in the app. I was using the vibrato mode.
I think Boss has more open/clear repeats with harder initial attack. This is very usefull, but I like TC more from my own experience. When I put a compressor after the DD7 I like it more.
You cannot ever go wrong with boss but wow I'm impressed with the flashback 2. Toneprints ALONE make it an incredible pedal (Bright analog delay is an amazing setting) for your solos or specific reasons. I really enjoy the reverse modes and of course the dynamic, and the 2290 settings. Modulated is really really good, the tape is very neutral and is its own sound. I am truly blown away and love this pedal. I just cannot see any reason why it couldn't work for anyone. Very musical if you want, very experimental if you are into that too.
I really can’t decide between those guys. I’m impressed with the mesh feature, and TonePrint looks interesting even if I really don’t know if I would really use it. On the other hand boss dd7 is an absolute classic and can’t go wrong with it.
I had both. TC Electronic stopped working after 3 weeks. I had similar problems with TC Polytune. Honestly - TC sounds little better, but quality control is terrible. Buy Boss.
I was planning to get TC. But I think I am going for Boss. Almost the same but TC has a darker tone and Boss has brighter tone. I love both of these pedal. If I am rich I’ll get both.

They are pretty similar, although the modulation delay from the Flashback sounds much more defined to me than the Boss. I´d go with the Flashback.
That's what made the decision for me too , the mod delay in the TC

Had both! IMHO the TC sounds much better! Sold DD7 and never looked back!
Did these stack well? Digital delay that stack are rare, I have a short list so far. Using an analog delay has been much easier.

I have dd3 and triple flashback and boss Digital mode Is Better by far... But fashback in this video seems superior to dd7

I have both but like the DD7 because you can't accidentally move the controls with your foot when you step on it.
The stomp space is similar between the two though...?
