From a recent visit it seems that all 2TE116 locos have disappeared with mainline freights exclusively being hauled by C36-7s. The blue 2TE116s were seen working in Latvia.
The "Saku" Train at 11:40 is actually originating from Finland. There is still Tka6 model text written on it, which is the model number used by VR Track in Finland.
Those trains look like I could stand in front of them and they would stop on contact. Then again, I'd probably be mush if I tried that with a huge locomotive running on soviet gauge.
We do have electric versions also, they run within the main county Harjumaa (the one were capital resides in). Everything that go out of the county are diesel.
Sometimes the trains will be diesel and go under electric wires because they go past them. In the case of trains going to Pääsküla, Diesel trains that went on long journeys go to the depo, so that they do not clog up Balti jaam. They return in the morning.
Thank You! From NY with Love! 🗽❤

Same
good topic about Estonian logistics on railway. we have shared this video on b2baltic television
Greeting from Brazil.
Shots taken in plenty of different places. In the future, it would be nice if the locations were given in the video.
Сам работал на жд составителем поездов, все очень знакомо,

1:21 That horn sounds like a Irish mark IV horn. But still
0:41 the train here looks quite North American. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it was made by Alco?
ge c36-7's . unfortunately most if not all of them are now gone to scrapyard
14:25 that engine sounds so good :)
It seems odd to hear an air whistle on a GE Dash 7 instead of the horn
Awesome video mate I'd love to see some Estonian trains
those new ELRON trains are sxy! Would love to drive one of those :D
I agree
But i love the cyan dr1a's more

They use downhill rails to detach and attach the wagons. To assembly or disconnect trains. Sorry ma shitty english.
Цыганские фокусы
I noticed that there a 2 bogies under the engine section of the modern diesel railcars. Is there a purpose for this?
cuales trenes son diésel y cuales son eléctricos? please tell me
Hei! Super video. 38:20 Kus see filmitud on?
Koidula jaamas
3:05 Baltic Express?
Sadly no…
Its the Tallinn-St. Petersburg-Moscow sleeper train
Now defunct because of covid and russian invasion of ukraine
Those are some small trains. Its nice that they use flirt trains as reqular commuters.
What is that DR1 doing there? 🤔
Where the closest to Tallin meet freight trains?
Try Lagedi station.
@@MsTallink thanks!
Those Stadlers are familiar. They run in Austin TX at red line. Is there a plan to electrify he network?

Why are those trains so tiny?
Country has 1,3 mil people. They are perfect for lower passanger numbers, mostly 3-4 cars but frequent enough so buses dont take thge market.
💖💖💖💖 Tom from Hungary.
OK
Dushan XY is MENTALY SIC MAN, Excuse him. Adegvated russian call them - kremlebot.
WHERES THAT SLAVIC HARDBASS TRAIN >:(
Hahaha I thought I was the only one who saw "TALLINN" on that video. Sadly they are all either scrapped or left to rust and rot.
In Latvia..
@@cbltrains1368 the bad track that would allow for a Jumping ER2 is gone in Latvia.
Hurra enviromentalfriendly US protectorate - baltics
terrible, diesel under the electro line...idiotism
Dušan XY Because they end up somewhere that doesn't have electrified lines. Go to Balti Jaam, the main station and you'll only see EMUs not DMUs.
Maintaining a separate locomotive fleet for a less than 100 KM electric segment is what would be idiotic.
Dušan XY What is yozr nationality please? Serbian?
Electric network is small in the Baltic states. It's used only for the passenger services.
