- This scene is one of my favorites from the show, when Louis and Lestat first meet, I could watch it a million times and never get tired,

Lestie's seduction displayed with all its available resources: voice, smile, silences, gestures, boast....but behind all that, his eyes give him away: crazy in love.
And Louis traversed by that sacred fire without still understanding what was happening to him.
A truly funny amazing scene.

Lestat is such a turn on..Sam has nailed the voice, the actions. He knows how to play a spoiled Marque. his gestures of the Aristocrates of by gone years.. As I have said before he oozes sexuality, his voice, his eyes his appearance.. HE IS LESTAT !! As a child his love of vampires has birthed a new standard of vampiric acting...He's fascinating!!!

OMG Yes, and Sam did a BETTER JOB playing Lestat than Tom Cruise did. This TV series is so good. Bailey Bass was amazing as Claudia and I wish Anne Rice was alive to see this***** She wouldn't have any problems with these fresh actors**** They have to complete the vampire chronicles with this*** Vampire Lestat Queen Of The Dammed Memonch The Devil Prince Lestat. Anne Rice would have loved this*** This is way better than 1994 interview with a vampire the only reason why that one got so much hype was because Anne Rice didn't want Tom Cruise to play Lestat and she wanted someone else. Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise clashed on the set of that movie and they made a Claudia into a Brat and the only reason why I saw Interview With A Vampire was b/c of Kristen Dunst**** Sam Reid is amazing in this and Bailey Bass is so evil in this***** LOVE IT!

I love Sam Reid he did an amazing job as Lestat. Tom Cruise Failed and Sam Reid liked to be a vampire and dressed up as vampire. He played his part well... He learned how to sing speak French and it was lessons. Lestat is great and Sam nailed his voice and Lestat is great I would love to see Sam Reid in Vampire Lestat and Memonch The Devil... As a kid this TV series was better than 1994 Movie Interview With The Vampire. At least they got Claudia RIGHT and she wasn't a brat and she was pure evil... loved this TV series.

Yes, she did. She actually fought against him playing with that but when she saw the movie, she said he was exactly what she envisioned in the book.

I think Sam's delivery of the line, "New to the...the New World, I am," is so cute, it's perfection! And deserves its own honourable mention! 😍 There's not a line throughout the season that isn't delivered with deliberate nuance in that hypnotic voice! Also love Jacob's faultless performance too! I am SMITTEN!

I did love this scene! The whole whose got the bigger D tone, was at play here. Where we first witness how much game Lestat has. Noting Louie also has swag. Yet, Louie was still feeling slightly intimidated by Lestat, thinking.. "I wanted to be him". Also, when Lestat kisses Miss Lilly & Louie has sit to there, watching. How she dreamily came up for air, clearly wanting more!. When Lestat ended that kiss, obviously much too soon. We all feel you, girl!!
this whole first episode is a masterclass in storytelling, one scene sweeping into the next effortlessly. as Louis says, the tale seduces you just as he was seduced, causing you to lean in closer and closer until you are too close, having to reel back suddenly at the intensity and violence of the final act. like him you are distraught, conflicted, yet fully convinced to follow this story until the end.
I miss them. My Sunday nights are so empty now. 🥀

I remembered seeing this scene and as soon as he appeared, I was seduced by how hypnotic his performance was in a mere second. I always loved Lestat since I read the book, “The Vampire Lestat”. Tom cruise did a respective job as him but I wanted to see an actor that just stepped out of the books and is played by an unknown. Sam Reid sold me on his performance! I can’t wait for future seasons of this amazing show! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
He did Sam did an amazing job and his portrayal of Lestat is pure gold**** He even sings and plays the piano and speaks French and Italian I was sold**** I can't wait for more of Interview With A Vampire in Season 2

Sam Reid is Lestat Lioncourt and he did an amazing job better than Tom Cruise did. This is Lestat... and Sam embraced his role and he took lessons in Italian and French and learned how to play the piano and he sang as well. He even read all of Anne Rice's books and he did his homework and it paid off in this TV series and this show is pure gold and fun to watch**** I wanna see more in Season 2 and I hope they cast Sam Reid in The Vampire Lestat Queen Of The Dammed Memonch The Devil, and Tale Of The Body Thief. Jacob Anderson was amazing and so was Bailey Bass as Claudia***
I swear I think he killed miss Lilly because he couldn't have her around Louis. Just imagined All the shit Lestat put Louis through. If miss Lilly was still around, Louis would've been going to her for comfort. And don't NOBODY want their partner being comforted by Anyone when you're stressing them out..😂😂😂 So she had to go.

And at the church Louis told Lestat you killed ms Lilly, and he said , yeah I ended that magnificent life she was living, what a tragedy.
Sam is perfection both as Lestat & in reality. He's truly nailed that character & this scene illuminates the seductive irresistable charismatic dangerous appeal of the Brat Prince in full array! Poor Louis never stood a chance! Soul mates right then & there forever & always❤!

@@hollib3900 Indeed. I'm convinced Ms. Lilly KNEW Louis was hiding his homosexuality. I think she also knew Lestat leaned that way and was she was serious when she said ' you are his destiny.' Additionally, in the scene in Lestat's house, she gives Louis permission to be with Lestat. She knew Louis was nervous and unsure how to act. She knows it is what he needs. 'that's fine, love' she says. Too bad Lestat killed her--I think it was jealousy as much as anything.

@@andreabrantley6951 I agree Lestat was jealous about Lily 100%. And, everyone knew LouStat were a couple--long before Louis ever accepted it in his mind--even what was it..about 5 or so years in he even said to his sister 'you know my situation' rather than something more committed or caring. Antoinette was a 'plan B' girl for that whole time--1917 - 1939.. I am convinced there were very long stretches Lestat didn't see her at all because he got tired of her and whatnot. I also found it interesting that Lestat was just feeding off her there at the end and not bothering to cover up the bite marks like he did immediately on Louis. She was nothing but a pawn in his game of chess.
This Role Is Definitely The One That Sam Reid Was Born 2 Play.
