14:24 that is so handy finding out you can use koo aid for more than just drinking. Thank you again Tom and Melissa for some more wonderful ideas!
Pineapple is so refreshing!
This is one of our, and our kids, favorite summertime treats. It's so refreshing.
I'm going to try this with mango juice. It looks so good 😊
That looks so good and Melissa, your camera skills are fabulous. Frozen grapes are refreshing also and really not messy. Just a thought

Can’t wait to try it! I think my adorable grandsons will LOVE it! Oh, and MiMi will add a maraschino cherry on top because they love them so!😊Thanks for sharing!
It's very tasty. We think they will love it. And if it's as hot where you are as it is in Kentucky right now, they will find it very refreshing! Cute idea to put the cherry on top!
I joined your channel a few weeks ago and I can say this is by far the best channel to watch to get new recipes. I am always looking for other meals to make besides my recipes. I did make the firecrackers and they were delicious. Thanks for all you do.
Can hardly wait 🎉
Y’all could talk me into making any recipe! Very inspirational!

7/11 calls these slurpies and some convenience stores still have them made my machines you can see it being continuously mixed. I had no idea could be made at home. Looks wonderful ❤😂
Yeah, we were excited if mom gave us a penny for a gumball in the 60s.😂❤
That looks absolutely fabulous! Can't wait to try it, and soon...a stormy morning in the forecast, then right back to the high 90s for us. Going to get some pineapple juice soon!
I just made this today. Waiting for the final results. I'm am confident that it will turn out right. Update, the pineapple chips came out perfect just in time for this hot summer. Thanks for such a delightful treat.
I found this in December cannot wait till summer so excited in the Midwest the winter are so long 😅😅😅
Браво класс
Ooh, I know we'll all love this. I can hardly wait to try it. Thank you. Sadly, I've never had a recipe passed down to me.
We hope you get to enjoy this! And we are happy to be sharing recipes with you!
LOVE OJ with LOTS OF PULP. Can hardly wait to try this out the lemon mousse!!!
And the lemon mousse!!!
Enjoy! The pineapple ice is perfect for hot summer days and the lemon mousse is a delicious dessert for this time of year as well. It's great having you at the table with us.
I learned from my mother-in-law many years ago to rinse the tops of cans from the grocery store before opening them since we don’t know how much dust has accumulated on them nor whether or not employees have washed their hands when handling them.
Looks absolutely wonderful! I'll be trying this for myself! How could I convert it to lemon ice? Love how you two interact with each other ❤.
We've never tried it with lemon juice instead of pineapple juice. I'm guessing it would take a lot of extra sugar to offset the tartness. But depending on how much you like that tartness, maybe not so much. Great question. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
Loved hearing about your trip to Greece. And zaziki ( spelling sorry) I think is best with the dill. ❤
Got to try
Wow this would hit the spot on those hot summer days…how brillant!!!…looks so so good!!!!
It's super refreshing for hot summer days! Thanks for watching. We do appreciate it!
Thank
Love when you offer your wife the first bite. You are a wonderful couple.
😋 YUMMY 😋 OUR WAS CALLED SLUSHY 😊
This is a little thicker than what we called a slushy but if you let it melt a bit you're at a slushy consistency! Hope you enjoy!
I bet that would make a fantastic topping for a vanilla sundae!
I think I'd add some crushed pineapple or pineapple tidbits to it for even more a refreshing treat.
That looks yummy! I love your videos!!
Could you make it with a different flavor? Grape, apple, kool-aid, ect??
Have a safe trip home... It is cold and rainy here in Hamilton. Praying for y'all safe return home 🥰🤗🙏🙏🙏🙏
That looks so good so refreshing
🤤🤤🤤👏
Not exactly same, but we have something same in India. But would love trying this recipe. It’s looked amazing!
It’s wonderful to have you watching! Thank you so much. We hope you try it soon!
That looks delicious
Thank you for sharing 🎉❤😊
Thank you for a great summer treat idea! Do you think this would work in a homemade ice cream maker?
I'm so sorry to be late getting back to you . We really don't know. If you try this in an ice cream maker, please let us know how it works. Again, sorry that I missed you question!
@@comesitatmytable9044 oh, no worries at all! God bless you!
Sounds so good! ❤
Looks really good. I wonder if putting it in a 9x13 would make it take less time if you had freezer room? It might take just as long or be a different consistency. Might have to stir it more often, I dunno. Might need to experiment.
Wow that looks yummy. Unfortunately i would have to use some other flavor of juice besides orange. My husband has kidney failure and is on Life saving dyaisis. Orange juice is a major NONO for him
I wonder how is would taste with apple and cherry juice. Thanks Tom and Melissa.
m😢😢
Looks delicious. Can't wait ❤
Hope you enjoy it! It's perfect for hot days like we're having now! Thank you so much for watching our video.
This sounds so good 😋 😋
It’s great for warm summer days. We hope you get to enjoy it.
I can taste this through the camera. Yum!
It's such a great recipe. We hope you and your family enjoy it. Thank you so much for watching!
SOLD!! 😁
Just a thought, but stirring with a metal whisk would stir & break up chunks... maybe?
I bet whipped cream would add even more of something! I will try this
Could you add crushed pineapple to this too?
👍👍👍❤💋
Fantastic channel!!!!
Yes indeed refreshing!!
Tom just had an idea. Do you think it could be put in an ice cream freezer? Thx
We have made that and we just chip away when we want some very good...
Hi guys! Loved this recipe! Question...once it is completely ready to eat and you now have to put away the leftovers, will it freeze hard or will it be easy to serve?
Hi, love watching, can this be made with strawberries.
We've never added strawberries to it, but I would think you can stir in any fruit you like once it's made. Great question. Thank you so much for watching. We really appreciate it.
Tom, do you store it in the freezer (will it freeze hard)? or fridge (will it melt)?
What's the purpose of the oj?? If you used a different fruit juice, would you still use the oj as the base??
The orange juice really enhances the flavor of the pineapple. We are big fans of pineapple flavor so we’ve never used a different juice for this recipe. If you do, please let us know what you think about it.
I bet a potato masker would work great!
We’ve never tried that but it might Please let us know how it works if you do.
The domed icees were called sno-cones.
Speaking of a sweet treat, it's definitely that! Unfortunately full of sugar so not good for diabetics. But sure sounds good for everyone else.
It's one we've enjoyed outside on the porch for many years. Thank you so much for watching our channel.
Could you put the mixture in your ice cream maker? I think it might work.
Could you put it in an ice cream maker, or would tat ruin it?
I don’t know about that but maybe. If you try it with an ice cream maker, please let us know how it turns out.
From Sandy P. Herb & I made this today. It is delicious. We cut the recipe in half, it took about 7 hours.
It is perfect in the summertime, we think! Thanks for letting us know you made it.
So what do you do with the leftovers? Just let them freeze solid and scrape with a fork the next time you want some more?
Can you make this in an ice cream freezer? Would that do better?
Masher
7-Eleven has the slushes if you have any 7 eleven
Could you use other kinds of juice
Just an idea…. Could you use a whisk to break up the lumps?
Brain freeze 😁
Have you ever added crushed pony to the juice? 😅
Have you ever added crushed pineapple to the juice
How do you store it for later if you don't eat it all
HOW could I NOT save this!?
Why didn’t I know about this when I was pregnant
I have a question.....after it is DONE, do you still have to stir it every half hour to prevent it from freezing solid?
No. Once it's frozen it will be flaky. if you think it's too solid after a while in the freezer, use a fork to fluff it up again. It's so refreshing on hot days though.
Can yopu maje it win an ice cream freezer?
🤯OMH...🤢I have 🍍🍍 perfectly ripe pineapples👍🏻
Perfect for the extreme heat we're having.
Exactly! You don’t even need to turn on the stove or oven! No extra heat in your kitchen! That’s definitely a plus when you’re experiencing a heat wave!
Brain freeze watch out🙈
GO EASY!
I will Thank you.
If you don't use this in one sitting, how is it stored?
18:55
1.5 cups of sugar? rly?
Yep.
