I remember when I just got into crypto back in 2019 but later in 2020 I ended up selling it because I was dumb and I didn't understand it. I studied and learned and now I know how it works. Got back into crypto early in 2023 with 10k and I’m up with 128k in a short period of time .This comment serves as motivation for all those who have invested and continue to invest in cryptocurrencies with so many losses, do not give up, cryptocurrencies can change your life. Do your best to connect with the right people and you will surely see changes.

The whole talk about "reverse" market crash (real estate and stock market) basically argues that we are nowhere near done with inflation and that we might actually experience "hyperinflation" in the near future combined with accelerating poverty levels across the nation or going thru a historical economic depression...those are the extreme conditions that have produced the reverse market crashes in most examples I've seen. I personally don't see anything that extreme coming, but who knows.

And i dont sell my bitcoins even if it will 1.000.000€ or what ever. Euro cost averaging every month and wait for the big adoption that is going to happen. Putting our time and effort in activities and investments that will yield a profitable return in the future is what we should be aiming for because investors who are optimistic in STOCKS, BITCOIN, FOREX TRADING, BINARY OPTIONS, NFTS.... are earning massively from it. It's almost impossible for a company with no debt to go bankrupt. the U.S. is about 50% of the global market place, Pay yourself first. It's time in the market, not timing the market. last year I invested 100 grand in the S&P 500/ an allocation fund (with the help of my Financial Advisor Rita Lynn Evans of course) and made 370k, but guess what? If you are doing that, every asset you hold will be based on the USD, as all of your stocks will have balance sheets in such.
That means you are just stuck in the system, like he is, of thinking that because you have 10x as many dollars you have 10x the value.
The reality is that there has never been a time in history where his billions have been less useful. The companies he owns dont actually create capital, they benefit from cronyism.
He said that the most important thing is reputation, but his favorite holding is Coke, who are obviously systematically hiding damning data relating to the damage caused by sugar, and therefore the products.
So in reality, what he really teaches is you dont care about other people, you care about your own bottom line. You don't care about making money, you just care about getting what you want. He doesnt care how much money he has, he cares that he has power.
If you think he would go public with the fact that Coke has knowingly killed millions of Americans prematurely, and far more people globally, you are far too naive to invest in anything.
Imagine thinking it's a good idea to buy farms and centralizable assets as your nation is pushing hard for democratic socialism, which overtly states that private property is immoral.
Also, Warren apparently doesnt understand how his investments work. If nobody is willing to buy his stocks, he gets no money. If his 10 billion is the last in Coke, it's worth 0.
He also specifically lists assets with high maintenance costs and virtually no state or federal funding. Meanwhile he has spent millions lobbying to the government for free money while talking as if it's just the investment that's making money. In reality, he doesn't make money, he just saves it. If you make 15% profit every year but inflation is also 15%, you dont actually profit anything.
He doesnt have to worry about inflation unlike we will for the first 20 years of our investment portfolios. Over the past 10 years, if you were invested in the S&P, youd be up around 2% over inflation. Great fucking job, you've participated in the large scale theft of your economy, you get the corporate bucks taken from the middle class and given to wealthy lobbyists.
Call me when he starts purchasing Chinese farmland.

Because the property you can rent out, or make modifications and then sell it. You aren't hoping the property makes money over time, you're actively making sure it makes you money. Stocks? @shannonblack1394 2 роки тому

@@snakevenom4954 I'd replace the word gambling with speculation. They're similar but not in certain ways. Based on BTC scarcity by design and the market sentiment which will likely crash and then rise again over the next decade, it's value is very similar to how gold is valued. Ie by the markets willingness to purchase it. As long as people value gold and BTC you'll be able to sell it. If more people want to sell it than buy it then the prices dip just so that people can realize their gains. So you're completely right, however one of the biggest things that majority cryptocurrency speculators (not investors) that throw them off is how sensitive they are to terms like "gambling" and "not investing" when in generality they believe that anything that you can buy and hold and sell later at a higher price is a form of investing.
What people should also note is that Warren buffet follows very strict investment strategies. So even if he believes that BTC will go up, he chooses to only invest in things he knows and things that provide an estimatable value. He doesn't buy gold and he only buys stocks when the price is lower than the value of what a company is estimated to be worth. Example, his stake in Coke was because he identified that on paper cokes earnings were high and the stock price was low. This basically has allowed his portfolio to outlast market crashes over the last 40 years. Cause even if the stock market speculators crash the market, his portfolio will always recover to prices of what the businesses book values do. Infact, because he has already researched his investments he just buys more during crashes at what he considers is a stock Sale. You can't do that comfortably with BTC. If BTC crashes you don't know if it will take a few months or a few years for it to return to pre crash levels. Just look at the stock market crash in 2008. It took a decade to return to pre crash levels. You don't have that luxury of peace of mind when speculating.

He’s just doesn’t understand how crypto is working. He assumes that cryptocurrency does not produce anything, but it’s not true. In fact, it’s doing something, that NOTHING in the world can do, which as follows:
    1) Take control over money from flawed people to unbiased, incorruptible algorithms
    2) Grants confidentiality to your funds
    3) Grants confidentiality to your transactions
    4) Assures, that your non-physical money will not be unlawfully arrested and blocked
    5) Gives ability to transfer your money with incomparably low commissions at very fast speeds
    6) Records all transactions, so that any transaction could be revised at any time
So it’s quite beneficial for human, but very dangerous for those in charge

You don’t understand. Let me ask you this. Can you invest on a dollar? Does a dollar produce anything? No. Same as cryptocurrency, it’s just currency that isn’t centralized and is not based on a country’s economy. It does not do anything other currencies can’t do. You see it’s not like gold, there is nothing like gold. In crypto you have BTC ETH DOT ADA and tons of other currencies that is valued solely based on other people’s sentiments.

Any commodity you can buy as an investment lives or dies by the same principle of interest that someone is willing to look at in any speculative investment. Saying that milk is worth more than digital cash because you can hold it is really bullish, they're essentially a different face on a multifaceted coin. Just because I have physical assets it doesn't necessarily mean I have wealth what it means is you have options and limiting your options will surely risk your wealth.

If you bought high like I did I got into Bitcoin when it was at about 47k early 2021, I watched it continue up and then crash back down. But you never actually lost the money/coins the present value just dumped.
So you wait and sometimes it’s quick sometimes it takes years but the value rises again and you’ll get your portfolio value back. Look at the people who bought in 2017 at 18k they would’ve thought they were screwed but if they waited few years they’d have tripled their money!
I didn’t sell at 30k, I waited and bought some more and now I’m back up. So moral of the story is don’t capitulate when things crash, hodl strong and wait it out

Sorry, but that doesn’t make a lot of sense what Warren is saying here.
It’s not just investing if you buy something, that produces something.
By his definition an apartment house wouldn’t be an investment either. Or is this apartment magically making more apartments? Or creating furniture on its own?
And as the name cryptoCURRENCY says, it’s not really comparable to ‚old‘ asset classes. It’s actually a mix between a stock and a currency.
So the supply of Bitcoin is limited just like stocks of eg Apple are. At the same time it has the functionality of a currency like eg the USD.
So I have to disagree this time, Mr Buffett!

And all the companies that will move on to work on it, are going to be valued according to a fixed scarsity (not changeable by any government or political junction).

Wow, I can’t believe how many errors he packed into 43 seconds. Thinking something isn’t an investment just because “you just hope the next guy pays more” is a logically flawed argument. If you KNEW that a farm or business wouldn’t increase sales at all (i.e. the next guy doesn’t pay more), then you wouldn’t buy it. What he’s really trying to say is profit from sales is somehow superior to profit from capital appreciation, which is unfounded and nonsensical. Capital appreciation is key in assessing investment returns. Furthermore, implying BTC doesn’t produce anything is fundamentally incorrect. It produces a pristine transaction ledger, which is to say it’s a revolutionary advancement in banking. It’s quicker, more efficient, more stable and more secure by a substantial amount. That’s why people pay so much for it. Buffet never understood technology, especially information and network technology. That’s why he completely missed FAANG until it was too late.
The truth of all this can be seen if you pull up a chart of BTC vs Berkshire.Over the last decade BTC has crushed Buffet: ~19,000% vs ~200%. There’s not a single professional *investment* manager on the planet that wouldn’t take the former over the later if they could.

He's also arguing that Bitcoin is merely a Ponzi, where you only profit if someone blindly buys in.
If Company X has $10B in assets, and you buy a stock at $5 with 1B stocks floating around, as long as that company isn't over leveraged, the management team is good and ethical, and a few other factors, you'll make money.

The modern stock market is nolonger about investments. It is about predicting bubbles and buying low selling high.

How does no one understand this? When you buy a stock, you are a part-owner of a business. That business generates revenue, profits and cash. Unlike a business, Bitcoin does not generate any value on its own. It's only value comes from you deciding to pay more for it than I. If you took Amazon off the stock market so no-one could trade it, it would still have a large value because it generates revenue from its many millions of customers. It would simply be worth less than if it was raising capital by being traded publicly on the market. If you took Bitcoin off the crypto market and no-one could trade it, it would have no value. That's the difference.
