Mt.Massive SW Slopes - 2nd highest 14er in Colorado

This is our first Vlog and we are super excited to share all our adventures in Colorado. This is our 14th 14er and our goal is to summit all 58!
We decided to take the SW slopes route because it's shorter/harder/scenic and 7.5 miles vs 14.5 miles. It took us close to 7 hours because it is very steep and half of the trail is rocky. We started at 4am. Parked 1/4 mile from the TH because the road is so sketchy even with 4WD.
After our hike, we drove to Leadville, a cute small town that has one of the best pizzas we have had, High Mountain Pies (go check them out).
Then we took a dip in the twin lakes, best way to help our legs recover from the challenging climb.

I get altitude sickness at about 6k feet i think

That can happen specially if you live at lower altitude, you just have to make sure you give yourself a few days to acclimate
