- Jewelry Making Tips & Tricks on how to use a bur with more control - an excerpt from our Tube Set Ring online class. Here I'm using 1mm and 2mm tapered cylinder burs to practice bur control as I cut into a sheet of 18 gauge copper. I'll need to master this technique to fit my tube to the ring shank later.
Here's a FREE E-BOOK to find out the tools you absolutely must have to get started, where to splurge and where to save.

what paste do you use on bur tip? and why do you use it for?
I don't have one of those fancy thing-a-ma-bob, it might be easier if I could use yours for a while!
You can use a regular vice no drama Larry! But if you were in Malaysia I’d let you borrow mine xx

Thank you team Walker!💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
What kind of bur are you using? I’m too blind to tell. Cylinder or more of a cone shape?
It's a cylinder bur :)
Lucy here is an idea do one with fancy tools and do one with cheap easy to get cheap
You can use a regular vice here no worries at all Jeanne - just doesn’t make for easy videography my end xx
And why are you doing it sideways and not flat
I just find it much more comfortable to work this way. I'd end up doing some weird wrist yoga if my metal was flat :)
