The first road shown on the video is still same as of 2024 I-35E throughout downtown Dallas until the I-30 exchange and the rebuilt corridor south of downtown all the way to US-67
It’s great this was preserved. I loved that old road. The reconstructed version doesn’t have any character. I don’t recall the S. R.L. Thornton ever being backed up, anyway.
Nice video, your camera does an excellent job in tough lighting conditions. 5* Also, it looks like all of the original overpasses are still in use south of I-30, i'm sure that will get rebuilt at some point.
man i gave vegas a real try but render time seemed to take FOREVER compared to premiere. still, sweet effects for sure. my comp isn't top of the line, but a phenom x3 w/8gb ram shouldn't be too much of a prob... oh yeah, another kickass vid.
Dallas only needs one supertall to complete that skyline and make it menacing. Ross Perot Jr. already bought the land next to fountain place. Cmon Ross lets do this! :-D EDIT: The skyline at 1:52 has already changed now thanks to Bleu Ciel and Katy Station. :)
Dallas cannot build a supertall because Love Field is right behind Downtown and Uptown Dallas, so there are height restrictions. Another reason why Dallas' skyline will always be second fiddle to Houston's in the state of Texas
assaultislove Wrong. You must not keep up with the news. Search: Hillwood Ross Perot Jr, HOK. There are no height restrictions on the lot he bought. Though Houston will probably always lead with number of skyscrapers it doesnt mean we cant have the tallest in Texas.
JasnoGT Who cares? Houston will always have a better skyline because its the closest thing that Texas has to a real city. Dallas is merely nothing more than an amalgamation of suburbs with an office park that poses as a downtown. A tall building will not change this
I drove 35E northbound today. There are early throes of flyover lanes just south of the 635 junction starting to take shape. Anticipation of more growth in NW Dallas/Carrolton/Farmers Branch?
Wonderful view of Dallas's Massive SKYLINE!!!! I live in texas and I love the Houston Skyline Line, but Dallas is my favorite skyline. AT NIGHT DALLAS'S SKYLINE IS SO IMMACULATE!!!
Insane that nothing is the same in any of this video from the beginning to the end.

your vids are now better then Jims & Brents combined ......drools Texas.......
It isn't hard to imagine the I-30/35 interchange being a nightmare @ rush hour. It makes the I-64/65/71 interchange in Louisville look good
You forgot TEXAS 180 on the 8th Street exit a mile south from Downtown Dallas.
Why not do a video for U.S. 67 (Marvin D. Love).
One word : WOW ! ---> 5 stars
Very nice Video 35E in Dallas seems to be a very fun highway.

The Stemmons Fwy ( I-35E ) Takes #5 for most congested Freeways in Texas
