- (10-21-2013) I drove all the way from Dallas To Nashville and this is where I stayed for the night. For the price the room was good however the property is somewhat dated but appears to be well kept. Facebook: / dieselducy

wow man I've never seen an elevator like that before, and I did enjoy the tour, you're a youtube celebrity.
Nice I love your hotel tour videos.
Cool tour
An iron include an ironing board in a hotel room - i´ve never seen before.
Awesome video :)
exterior corridors are nice in the summer. your right. it should be in the front. very classic elevator; they must keep it. flat screen tvs are the best. as usual andrew you are very informative.
Love these classic American hotels/motels, and the city of Nashville. Good price, and great review!
3:21 What pizza restaurant or anything particular does the hotel keycard have?
back in the day
Happy 37th Birthday Andrew!
Do more hotel tours please
Is that hotel, by any chance, located right next to interstate 65? If so, i know where exactly where it is. I drive by it whenever going north.
You found the other Ho-Jo's.
(Times Square is the only other one I know of. There used to be quite a few.)
Great job on documenting the "new" Howard Johnson's off of Trinity Lane in Nashville. This is actually the third different property to carry the HoJo name. The original purpose built Howard Johnson's is the hotel sitting directly across from this hotel operating as a Comfort or Quality Inn. It originally opened in the 1970's. The second hotel to hold the Howard Johnson's name was down the road just a bit and it burnt sometime in the 1990's. That hotel has since been demolished but you can still read the faded "Howard Johnson" roadside sign that towers over the vacant property parking lot. And now the third one that you documented carries on the name. Thanks again for your video. Keep up the good work.
@@MJMR5557 I honestly don't know all of the brand names it carried. When I was a child and the original Howard Johnson's was located across the street the current HoJo carried a local "Inn" name for a really long time. It wasn't until it received the, "Howard Johnson" name that it had an official national brand name to it. After its time as a HoJo it became a Super 8 and I believe it is still in the Super 8 fold in 2022.
I don't think I've ever seen a cab with that much tile :)
More hotel tours please!!!!!
Really interesting how the elevator it at the rear of the hotel
I love your stuffed animals there so cute I have some stuffed animals to
My home state!
Nice tour! My other house has those sterling toilets
Oh cool!
what, no bedbugs? I'm shocked!
Can you request a super 8 hotel review please
Hey Andrew, did you make a road trip video from Dallas to Nashville?
Looks like tiles on the elevator walls.
Why do they slap metal on these beautiful vintage Dover indicators that, well um, TELL YOU WHAT FLOOR YOU'RE ON on these awesome rare vintage Dover elevators?
Old, nice. But I would have to say, the door needs some lubricating because the door closes very rough.
As of 2017 however, this hotel itself became a Super 8
I don't ever want to see that elevator get modded. notice the car wash next to the pool.
Very nice hotel indeed; however, I think that Dover elevator has seen better days and could get a refurbished cab.
Why did they take out the floor indicater? Other than that the hotel looks verey nice.
The elevator looks like my great grandmothers old shower :D
I wouldn’t go crazy with that black light 😬
Every time I see an older motel property (especially Motel 6 or Howard Johnson properties), I always fear that I'm going to be accosted by a pimp and his harem....appreciate the tour, Andrew. Always enjoyable.
4:10 a Secret ketchup packet
A lot of the motels in the USA with 2+ floors should have elevators just like in utah where I live
Man, his voice sounds like my grandad!
You toured that on my bday
Looks like a 1980s-style hotel
were in room 206 instead of 208
@1:11-conveniently located!.
For a Howard Johnson its actually nice.(Yeah it's a bit outdated) The Elevator's kind of creepy looking. But overall it's nice!.
Grade=B
We call them microtels up here, one star ⭐ crappy
Elevator looks more like a shower. Was looking for a shower head in there. LOL
you might not want to talk so loud at 1:30 in the morning.
i was hear yesterday they updated the cab a little bit it still has the dover black buttons
+thyssencar 95 u have a video? Would love to see it
thyssencar 95
Cool hotel, but that elevator is very rough.
Yeah, I believe it has seen better days....
I agree with you, JimLiElevators, I think the door needs lubricating
208 is also my bus stop address
Hey cool I stayed at a Howard Johnson in st george utah and stayed in room 208
Funny. I stayed at a hojo in room 208
You it a new car?
You should do a car tour of your new Subaru.
why?
Pretty nice place. Reminds me of a simple Day's Inn.
$60 for this? Not too bad. Not my cup of tea though... I recently snagged the Marriott LAX for $62 (normally $159) plus tax by just doing a little research and finding it cheaper on another travel website, then submitting a claim to Marriott, who in turn matched the rate and gave an extra 25% off. I haven't stayed in a lower end place in a while. Just wait till you see what I managed to get for free using a similar method in Las Vegas :)
Which website you found a marriot that cheap?? Im from Philadelphia n they always want at least 199$ or more for 1 night
Theres a bit of a trick to it. There are little obscure travel websites (galahotels being one of many) and sometimes you can find lower rates on those sites. If you do, then it never hurts to file a "look no further" claim.
I did stay at the Courtyard Philadelphia Downtown last summer for around $90 on a Look No Further rate.
My birthday is the 20th of October you missed it...
I wonder what changes were had to this place since it's been changed to a Super 8. I avoid places that don't have a complimentary breakfast but could do its job in a pinch if you don't mind going to a McD's etc for a quick cheap breakfast. The random ketchup package in the fridge amused me for some reason.
This elevator looks like school
Dude that is a bad possibly the worst area in Nashville the city padlocked the hallmark inn that is right behind there because it was deemed a public nuisance.
IT IS A SUPER 8 AGAIN
Seems like it changes every 6 months.
@@DieselDucy it's closed off now
Could do with a bit of a facelift but not bad.
I WAS LOOKING FOR A MICROWAVE
dieselducy why voice sounds a little weird?
0:59 Chrysler 200
1:39 Chrysler 300
to be honest that elevator looks like a crappy old gym locker room shower
This hotel was closed off as of 2021
More like the Cow**d Johnson elevator.
Capital of Tennessee

Are you a little sick in this episode? Your voice sounds a little off like there's something in your mouth.
