I have used shell many times but when it was under 100 rupees 😂now it’s more than 120 😢….hard to afford for Middle class people.
Chennail'la iruntha pothu shell'la mattum thaan Diesel fill panni ottikittu irunthen, Really 2 to 3 kms extra mileage i got it compared to regular bp, indian oil loa bunks . Good mileage, better pickup with AC 2 point on. Usually i got 490 to 560 kms max in regular fuel bunk for 35 litres, but from shell diesel i got 630 to 650 max kms for the same 35 litres for the same highway and city mix trips. really best fuel bunk i have seen so far.
But the extra mileage you got is equalized in the extra amount you spent to get the same quantity of petrol

True story:
I bought a new apache 200 FI bike back when 2nd wave of covid happened. took my bike and went to my village. I used to fill my tank in local barat, hp petrol bunk after riding 500-600 km bike suddenly stopped didn't know what to do so towed 50km to nearby tvs service centre they said fuel injector failed need to replace thankfully bike was under warranty so they imported the part and fixed it. For importing the fuel injector it took 15 days. The mechanic said the cause is due to very low quality fuel mixture which had impurities. Since i came back im filling my bike with shell normal petrol its been good since then.

Fact when I start from Bangalore to Coimbatore with tank fill in Dominar with normal petrol the fuel will be down when I enter Salem toll gate but if I fill shell it will take me to Coimbatore toll gate which is huge this is not 1 time I tried 9-15 times and speed around 120-135 140 it’s super smooth and worth got you pay fact

Quality check - daily they check the density and the quantity from each terminal before starting the day.
I once had an issue with payment. I paid 100 in cash for petrol the kid there said not paid. I paid before fueling - hence the confusion. The supervisor blocked that terminal and sorted it out immediately, their system is so simple and robust - he sorted it out in a matter on 2 to 3 minutes. And was able to account the 100 i paid for petrol. This was 5 years ago. But quality still continues
Shell petrol is far superior to our normal petrol from IOC or BP etc. The quality is quite good and the feel is great. Smooth ride with marginal increase in mileage / ltr. The purity gives better life to your motor parts. Affordability is one's decision. The only problem is to spot the shell bunk in chennai. Not widely sepred over as other bunks. The shell bunks are always very huge . The hospitality aspect is a question mark. I could see that in all shell petrol bunks in Bangalore but not in chennai.
I own a duke 390 (2016) in which i can't able to cruise at 60 in 6th gear. Engine, gear box all will be very rough. But started using shell as much as possible. In which i can cruise at 60 in 6th gear. And also I'm getting 2 to 3 km/l higher milage compared to all other fuels. Engine is very smooth. I'm hearing exhaust pops 🔥 clearly while shifting. I love shell fuels. If you love your bike or car that 7 to 8 rupees price difference won't matter. Because its giving smoother performance and better fuel efficiency. 👍

Try indian oil XP95 for petrol engines (only) .. 5 rupees higher than normal petrol... My car gives 3 kms more mileage in the city and 8 kms on highway (per litre). Greater acceleration and smoothness also..

Guys shell only offers 91 octane with some ditergents.but definitely it’s of good quality,but not worth the price.For that price you could go for 95 octane in Indian oil which offers more power,quality and mileage.this video is partially correct for proper information I prefer you to watch revnitro s detailed video
most of the people are thinking v power (shell petrol) 95octane petrol nu nenachu adha use panraanga super bike ku ennatha solradhu. xp95 is always better in terms of price and combustion not sure about of quality of petrol iam using for my 390 getting good mileage comparing with my friends using normal petrol

Indian Oil XP95 is a great option.
We get 95 octane for the same rate as Shell petrol which is only 91 octane.

True bro. I switched to XP95 from Shell regular petrol for my Vento TSI. VW recommends min 95 octane for the TSI engines. There is noticeable improvement in smoothness and slight improvement in fuel efficiency as well. Same observation in my Gixxer 250 as well!

I used to put petrol in shell.
When there was a fluctuation in price and market price was reduced reasonably. I asked why the shell petrol price is not reduced.
They said “customer is ready to put petrol for the same price so we didn’t reduce”.

Agree on quality aspects. But off late I see them pushing customers to fill power petrol / diesel. And sometimes they say normal diesel is not available. This happened to me Bangalore when I first went to fill in for Laura they said only power diesel is available and within 15 mins when I went back to fill my Figo they filled up normal diesel. Casually asked the attender, when you got the diesel tanker last, he said last night. Had some argument with the manager and left the place.. But still filling up in shell only but in other outlets.
Also better fill in COCO (company owned company operated) Pumps in highways to ensure you get non contaminated fuels. I ve seen in my circle that many diesel injector failures happen due to fuel contaminations..

First time I added v power petrol for 122/litre instead of normal 102/ litre. My scooter is Jupiter. I’m feeling a great difference in engine refinement. Suddenly it’s starting to feel like a Honda unicorn that kind of refinement im feeling. If I can extract an extra 10 percent mileage for the extra 20 percent I pay I’m still okay with this cost. I will keep buying this petrol every time.
But unfortunately there’s no change in mileage. So if ur ready to pay 20 percent extra for the refinement u can go ahead.

It is just a perception. Petrol with octane level will give same level of performance and mileage. Instead of trying Shell. Try speed. I hope it will be better because of octane mix.
It is not only perception. It is experience as well. the quality of shell petrol is quite high and hence the engine sound is minimum and gives trouble free life to engines. The quantity and adulteration are to be checked in other bunks, whereas in shell, those issue are not there.

I bought my Pulsar 150 CC in 2007. From the first day I am using only Shell petrol. After warranty period, I started using Shell Oil only. I drove around 120000 kms. My bike is due for FC soon. But until now there was no major issue I faced in Engine. I get mileage around 50 km/liter still...

Really nice quality fuel,I fill up my tank whenever I see shell outlet, but regarding the vouchers and other things I have to get information from them, but in reality, the fuel gives noise less engine, nice mileage, low engine heat ,smooth, smoother, and cleans the engine also, good fuel

In Shell bunk, 5W 30, fully synthetic fuel save oil alone is MRP price 3800 rs, No discount. For this price in Honda it self I can complete full service at 6000 rs. One more interesting fact, in amazon they sell fully synthetic HX8 oil at 2100 only, but they will not have that at the bunk. It's a scam by stating that its not in stock.

I bought chain lube from shell...the man from shell asked can I apply and I responded yes.... My bike pulsar 150...he opened the chain cover and cleaned using air gun...and apply....this takes hardly 15 mins..... Also in free of cost...kudos to Shell Pondicherry

Companies like shell have to be monopolised in india, My pulsar was a 2 times rebored engine, clutch and gear box are gone engine was in rebuild condition,So everytime while driving every 15 mins it used to clatter that clatter will feel like it has ran out of petrol, It was so irritating, Coincidently one fine day i filled a litre of petrol on shell, My bike felt like it had got another life That clatter issues totally gone, got extra 4kms of mileage now i ran almost 12000 kms by filling #shell petrol, with periodical maintainace, Though the clutch issues have'nt resolved, Still that "PUREST FORM OF PETROL" is not letting my bike to remove its engine head/case🤗🤗🤗

What is the difference between Normal Shell Petrol and Shell premium Petrol?
Petrol : Octane rating . Normal fuel everywhere is at 87 octane, Fuel like Speed, Xtra Premium- 91 octane, Shell V Power - 95 Octane, Speed 97 Xtra premium 100 - 97 octane.. Octane rating : Engine compression, Today’s machines run on High compression ratios for better emission and efficiency of engine performance, so they require higher octane fuels. Always check with the manufacturer and use only the prescribed fuel..
