"And it makes us feel small" I love the idea of adding things like the giant bud that make us feel small. Because it puts things into perspective. When you think about it, we ARE small. Our planet has a radius of 3,958.8 miles/6,371 km, and a circumference of 24,901 miles/40,000 km. So compared to Earth's size, every species on this planet is quite small. As a follower of your vlog channel, it is an honor to have followed along with the progress of the farmhouse, and the result is wonderful!
Azula was a personal favorite of mine not only because of her beauty, but also I suggested Azula as her name since I love her character in Avatar TLA so much and the name was picked. It's a shame she passed but death is an inevitable part of life.
Actually, i am always bewildered when i see the 40.000km circumference number. When you consider it is 1000km from Vienna to Berlin, to then think 40 times that way is once around our planet, then it all of a sudden doesn't seem so big, you know?
This might sound silly when thrown in front of you like this, but let me assure you, haha, when it is a thought you had for years, it all starts to make sense, trust me. It also helps if you are from Vienna and you just happen to know that Berlin is about 1000km away from here, haha! Otherwise, i guess this won't make that much sense or even reach the status of "bewilderment".

We've come so far from the Fire Nation.... I literally feel like crying. You got me into ant keeping YEARS ago and I actually had a fire ant colony that was doing really well (I found her by luck 2 days after I found your first video) She was my first colony and I got her up to about 50 workers, and then my cat decided they were a toy while I was out and I came home to my test tub hub broken open on the floor. My queen was gone and I was heart broken. Been trying to get back into it but I can't get any queen to lay

Some species of tarantulas can reproduce via “Parthenogenesis” which is virgin birth. Brian Barczyk’s anaconda gave virgin birth recently too!

Only a true Canadian would have a moose antler fruit bowl 😂The scientific name of the Gooty sapphire colony you previously owned was Poecilotheria metallica, not regalis. Moving all of them was honestly the right move. They looked a little too crowded in there and so moving them to not only make profit but also find better homes for them in better conditions looks like a win-win to me.
And green tree pythons aren't called Sonoran, as they're not from the Sonoran Desert but rather eastern Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Australia's Cape York Peninsula. Your python survived thanks to the power of friendship. Yup, I know us humans have that instinct to touch everything, but not everything is meant to be touched. Green trees are a display pet, just like dart frogs. Because dart frogs raised in captivity don't have poison (since their poison is from their wild diet), they have zero defense against us, thus the chemicals on our hands are more harmful to them.

It’s amazing how far this channel has come since i first started watching about 7 years ago, I stopped watching for a while because i found other interests but i still love this channel and find all the critters amazingly interesting
An idea for 5 million, if it hasnt been done before, is a list of ants from other countries that you would love to raise if given the chance. I recall you made a list of the coolest looking ants in your opinion and I'd love to see what ants you'd love to have as pets.

You could also use privacy window tint on your windows to keep the interior temperature consistent, and it provides privacy

That was around the time you were looking for invasive species around the area the new place was being built... to come back years later and see it completed..... The concept of a woven floor was a novel idea for me - very, very cool! The glass floor inserts are a wonderful touch. I love the 'cocoon' lounge chair - very artistic. And, boy, what a view!!

I used to watch you a lot about 4 years ago. You spent so much time building new habitats for your ants. I'm glad to see your getting a new habitat yourself.
I’m new to the channel and I’m super bummed to hear the carpenter ants have been released, they were the series that really got me hooked and I’m so sad to hear they’re gone especially since we never got a confirmed ID on their species. I get that you can’t keep every colony with this move and that there will hopefully be more but I wish we could have had a proper goodbye video and maybe even have seen how you release them

Im happy to see youre entering a new era, it feels weird not having the og giant colonies of the past, Fire Nation, Pheonix Empire, Golden empire, The dark knights and the Titans. Ik there were others but those were the main ones I loved. Its very sad to see them all gone but im happy to see we're entering a new era hopefully seeing some strong colonies we can come to love like the ones we lost

if you want to know what brits consider warm, put on 15 degrees celcius. its that warm and slighty cooler right now with a slight breeze and i love it. dreading the summer though. last year it got up to 40 cecius!

OMG That view through the 1'st floor windows...the way the wind was blowing the vegetation outside was spellbinding!!!! AAAHHH!! The Second floor views are even more breathtaking! Gorgeeeous!!!! 🥰😝😍
It's honestly one of the most calming views ever! I could sit and watch it for hours.
When you call 28c cool I died inside a little and then converted to f to be extra sure. It's around 82f for those wondering.
My body can't regulate temperature properly so even just 72 f (22 c) can be too warm inside for me. Ideal range is like 65 -68 f (18- 20 c) to avoid overheating although I have to use a little foot warmer so I can feel my feet and keep blood flow through them. At night I can tolerate down to 58f nightly (14 c) when sleeping purely because my dog is an electricity free bed warmer and she sleeps UNDER the blankets lol

@@animatsuri Outdoors, depending on conditions, music carries very far. He's higher up, and there's probably very little other noise pollution.
I live in the country and I can hear the band at the bar about an hours jog from my house. If it took me an hour to jog to my nearest neighbor, I'd consider that very far away. With a good southward wind, I can hear the train in the town 15 minute drive north of me.

Can't wait to see how you use the new space and grow and develop(: I hate to be "that guy" but being the snake nerd I am, I'm assuming around 12:52 your "Sonoran" green tree python is a "Sorong" green tree python, as the Sonoran Desert is a North American desert and Sorong is a common city of export in Indonesia found amongst green tree pythons. Correct me if I'm wrong, either way LOVE the channel and am very happy for you!!

When I heard you say the Blades of Midas was currently your largest any colony, I had a bad feeling about my boys, The Dark Knights. They weren't stealing the show or did anything particularly crazy but I liked that about them. I remember the Ant Game of Thrones between the Dark Knights of the North and the Dark Knights of the South with their crazy long connecting tube. I was even hoping that with the new Ant Room 2.0, the Dark Knights would have an even crazier, longer tube to run and explore to their hearts content but I'm beginning to think that may not be, at least for now. I'll hold out hope that one day, a new Black Crazy Ant colony will find itself your way and add to your already amazing antiverse. I'm sorry to hear about some of the losses of your queens and tarantulas but am also hopeful that with your new and improved space, you can raise even bigger and greater terrariums for the ants and all creatures accepted into your care!

Since you have so little colonies currently I’m not sure if it was the best idea to release some of the few you still had like your carpenter ants. Especially since I remember you had multiple so I think it would’ve been ok to keep one at least. But I still respect your decision.
