This is a great tutorial. I managed to create the server and several friends around the world has joined successfully. Please can you answer on the following questions: -I couldn't join from the same Laptop, nor through the same internet connection through another Laptop. How can i connect through Lan or same server device. How to connect? - When i join the server, can I act as admin while playing? So i can restart the game the round, kick a player, balance, ect... what is the procedure to - I cannot add a player password, once i add it the server will not be accepted by Steam server mentioning something about the password Again this is the best useful tutorial.

Could you post a complete log of the console of your server so that I can see what the problem is in the server.. Do this: 1.Set 'log on' in your server.cfg file 2.There will be a log text file created in your cstrike or sub directory 3.Paste the text in the reply

Hello Chetanya, nice tutorial, i don't have any experience with addons in CS 1.6, but i recently created a server watching your vid and everything is right until video #5, i use a Steam CS so i wanst interested to made my server non-steam... but i wanted to install a Zombie Plague 4.07 Addon... and found one installer to do everything automatic... but now, i can see my server in server list (i'm a Steam user) and whem i try to connect in my server say "cold not connect to the server"... i think "Maybe the addon changed my server to non-steam only" and tryed to follow this tutorial (#6) to fix, but nothing changed, do you have any tip to me? thanks, cya!

I LOVED this video, I now successfully set up a steam/no-steam CS1.6 server. Now, how can I set up a CSS steam/no-steam server? I want to run both 1.6 and CSS, but so far have not found any information about how to do something like this for CSS so that it will accept steam or non-steam clients. this only works for steamcmd, but if you do it for half life or counter strike that is pirated it won't work, i did this for half life dedicated server from steamcmd and it works for steam users, but it doesn't work for the pirated version because when i try to add my server to favorites it doesn't show up the only way for pirated users is to put in console "connect myip"

hello, the dproto.dll addon is not working when i test it with meta list. how can i fix this? EDIT: nevermind, i put the (plugins.ini) in the dproto folder, i moved the .ini file to the metamod folder and it worked.

windows binary is'nt downloading...it's coming Error 404....

same problem as Rohit Phadke said want solution for dproto.zip cant download zip file giving fatal error as it contains viruses.

Man,at the finnally,when I open the hlds shortcut folder it says "done" and after "error" and it don`t works,pls help me
+Ady Ionut if it's a fatal error that closes the hlds instantly (so you cant read the error message) try to run the Fix.bat and run hlds again.

+Moiz Umer configure your device in the router with static IP , normally it is assigned to DHCP , so your IP session will expire and assign you new IP
