Bon Iver won a Grammy without selling out, so I hope Johnny's not so disillusioned with the industry that he won't go for another worldwide label to get the distribution he deserves. Everyone needs to hear this - the voice, the phrasing, the lyrics and the musicianship.
Waddafack i was watching The Detectorists on BBC4 loved the intro / outro tune - checked who was singing - looked on here and found this. What a fecking talented lad who i presumed was a grey haired old dude from the country wrinkled n leathery. Good stuff. :))
I think this video was made in 2007 or 2008. His vids from his US tour in 2011 do show some age, but his vocals even stronger. I just hope he doesn't give up recording/touring now that he's doing West End plays.
