You made it just past 9 minutes before the meandering kicks in! Well done :)
the meandering is why I watch ! :)
The Meandering is the best part! I wish they'd get into it sooner. The actual topic is irrelevant.
The meandering and mumbling. Do they take a bottle of valium before filming or fill their mouths with marbles?
@@jspanos500 The live in NC. It's either learned or inherited (that's why I talk that way).
Still waiting for my 59 Les Paul that I won from you guys!!! 😒😁
Me too!!!!! 😂😅
Me too
No, I won that one!
I'm hoping to get the $7 Tiesco that I won! I'm not holding my breath.
You didn’t get yours yet?
If I ever buy a $20,000 guitar from you guys I'm driving the 889 miles to your shop to pick it up and insisting on going out to lunch with Baxter and Jonathan.
I am in the Kansas City area and last summer I was going to Hilton Head, South Carolina. We took a day of our vacation to drive to Casino to pick up a $3k guitar that they were holding for me.
Eight hours round trip.
Reverb is really bad for scammers. I started adding a disclaimer that I will not respond to requests to contact outside of reverb. The best is "please contact my father at "email address" as he's really interstate but doesn't have a reverb account." After I added my disclaimer, the scammers quit on my listings.
I tried to place an overly complicated order like that once because I’m abroad at the moment - seller politely declined and I have no complaints.
@@Funkybassuk let me guess- you worked on an oil rig and were only contactable by email😂😂
@@tylerdurden5122 I’ll try that one next time 🤣👍🏽
Thank you for saying this. I just got that very message on a Gibson I listed. I was suspicious, so I looked here, and alas 😅
One potential issue for sellers I learned about with reverb is when people meet you to pick up a guitar or any other item and they pay and meet you to pick it up but then say they never got it because you don’t have shipping proof or signature for verification of delivery. Make sure they do feedback for the item and/or I’d even do a simple bill of sale to CYA.
It is really basis for any transaction to have a receipt that means the goods were received and accepted. But in any case, it is better to remember that Reverb will always protect the buyer more than the seller.
Don't take cash. Simple.
That's why I always ship the item. Even if it's across town.
so the guy with the weird voice buying the Kath was Trogley?
Mate it was definitely Trogly!! That voice is all fcuked up!! He is one dodgy mofo for sure😂😂😂
@@tylerdurden5122 wow! So now I know how Trogly got to where he is with his collection!
I was browsing Reverb one day and found my guitar, for sale. The scammers had taken the pictures from the Ebay auction I had won months before and were using them to try and rip someone off. Reverb cancelled the ad as soon as I informed them.
My guitar mentor had a solid guitar collection, a few were excellent, most just old guitars. He was unable to return home and when I tried collecting his property , to hold for him, it was all gone. Not stolen, not sold, thrown into the land fill. My mentors wife's son put her in a home and sold the house and tossed everything out. All belongings. I prefer someone stole them so they could used. I am owing the son an adjustment
About to buy an expensive guitar from you guys but I need to work on my fake voice first.
Just a quick thank you am in the uk and love watching you guys ..great stuff keep them coming 👌👍👍
Aside from the important topic ... I just discovered that if you hold your phone 6" from your face in landscape mode & cross your eyes ... you can combine Baxter and Jonathan face for a bit more interesting video experience.
When I was selling my 594 10 top I got some very strange inquiries. Some were, I don’t care if they want it… I may not want them to have it. But others I just blocked because they were obvious scams.
Much appreciated, I had a guy during COVID who did not want me to drive 2 hrs and meet up with him in a parking lot so that I could see and check out what I was buying. Smelled like fraud, skipped the buy and shopped again on Reverb. Cheers.
I wouldn't drive two hours because I'm lazy. I don't know if you proved a fraud or just someone who is a stoner. That's a lot of money in gas to drive to a possible sale.
@@edwardruiz8920 no he meant himself driving to the seller!
If person doesn't play guitar or even like music, you shouldn't sell them guitars : p ...BTW if someone has to tell you they are rich, they aren't...thanks guys! I also don't like heights, planes ok, mountains ok, ...but as a teen we climbed electrical towers, old bridges, abandoned buildings....I think that's why I now have a respect for heights ;)
Thanks for the info guys!!
Sorry to bust your analogy with the shoes, but I know kids(20's) who have spent thousands on Jordan's and are not aware he was a real person.
I’m still waiting on the 64 Strat I won from you guys. I paid the $250 insurance and shipping on Zelle with Bitcoin. Just let me know when it ships!
Here's the thing. Scams in EVERY industry are out of control.
I found a deal half price on a used gs mini ( which Baxter sold me on) it was thru guitar center. When they sent it to my local GC for pick up, my local GC sold it ! Ended up they gave me a brand new mahogany gs, and I ove it... they made it right but I had to go thru a major hassle and three weeks longer to get it worked out...sad days
Have you guys ever done a video explaining the guys aversion to combs?
There's a Gibson Les Paul in, what looks like, Wine Red with 3 Pickups on your wall behind you in the video. I don't see it on your website. Is it for sale?
Had to re-read the title to check what I'd actually clicked on to after finding myself listening to 5 minutes of movie discussions...
Scamming people is the absolute lowest. (Yes, I've been approached for commenting here).
But at this point, we're also getting screwed by the manufacturers. I'm resigned to the gear I already have, because I don't think I can afford to live anymore with current politics and the insane profit-centric thinking. Guitars are happiness, so I am glad I'm set.
And you tell me, over and over and over again, my friend, you don't believe, we're on the eve of destruction.
Trying hard to stay positive, but it ain't easy.
I was selling a Fender Super Champ X2 a while back. I got a message "My man is driving from Mexico today to pick it up. I need the address". Buddy come on, your man isn't driving from Mexico to Canada to buy a $400 amp. So I gave him an address on the East Coast which is a Taco place. It had good reviews on Google.
When did you guys start using a pro mist filter on the camera lens?
South California Purples ❤️
And if I’m buying a $20,000 guitar I’m driving to your store
Like a mini cam mounted on or in your guitar, how cool would that be!
I no longer buy online I have used the same guitar shop for about four years I trust them and I always get a good discount, makes life alot easier.
Years ago I drove way way out of the city to a shop that specialized in resonator guitars, cuz I had this woodbody Dobro
("National Repro" on the headstock, jap made). Had bought it in '76 from a motorcycle geek for $100, didn't know how much it was worth, just glad to have a reso. Anyway, I come into this far-away shop with my Repro and meet the owner's son, and ask his opinion. He calls his dad (whom I had called earlier before heading out there), who was eating at the diner down the street; Jr. looks at me, looks down at the guitar, speaks into the phone, 'uh huh, uh huh, no, I don't think he's a hustler...' etc. At first I kinda stepped back and took offense, but when he hung up he gave me an honest assessment. I wasn't looking to sell it anyway, but I appreciated his prudence. Heck, I had the worst guitar in the building at that moment anyway. I bought a few sets of strings from him, for his trouble.
The Terry Kath Tele is wicked cool
Baxter's hair was particularly bad today. Looked like a dead raccoon and cat mashed together with some hair gel.
Really??? And people wonder why the world is fucked up today with unneeded negativity. That said, if there was a raccoon up there we’d probably see a strip of white…just sayin’.
Shit... I didn't know that was supposed to be hair
It’s awesome, I love it.
you guys ramble but you are very funny, love it
And by the way the gs mini is everything you said it would be!!! I've been in the hospital for 3 months and I can play it in my bed... also physical therapy has been using it as the chording is strengthening my hands . Thanks Casino!!!!
Glad to read your story - my family and I dropped into a country church on Easter, and the guitar player had a GS Mini. Man that thing sure sounded nice, especially the low end.
If we can set up where I can pay 100 a month for like 4 years through affirm or reverb I would definitely be interested the terry kath tele
Can I trade in my 22 year old son, for a $20k guitar? Asking for a friend...
I place an add on my local FB marketplace to re-home my kid.. Talk about a nightmare of people flipping out.
@@TVoltG We plan to rehome him once he saves up for an apartment. i don't feel bad about that and you shouldn't either... Although, the age of your kid would probably affect how i feel about that.
😂😂😂
I don’t think they are homosexuals at that store!
What is even worse now is legit small sellers selling a nock off for $100--$200 off of actual price of item but it turns out to be a full on knock off sold by a fake company that hijacks the sellers site or seller info. Mainly Chibsons and Vibsons online but have done it with Fender too. Sad part is the Chibsons are often better quality than the actual item.
I love the scams on Facebook that say they are closing their online store and have to clear out inventory. They show a picture on a Sam Ash ad with the Sam Ash name photoshopped out. They have brand new “real Gibson Les Paul Standards” $59.99, real this and that and you know there are idiots lining up trying to buy that crap. Can’t fix stupid.
Scams are on the rise all I all . I am 69 years old and the shit some of these people try and pull is amazing . I got one of those telegraph emails under your name last week . I knew it was bullshit right away . Got to keep a eye out for these crooks . I live about ten minutes from the first Jersey Mike's good stuff
Training and tournaments will be held at the Casino Guitars Dojo.
You should have sent a box with a Walmart toy guitar and have it marked all over the box in bold letters ‘FRAGILE $20,000 GUITAR INSIDE, DO NOT OPEN IN TRANSIT”
Are you guys saying I shouldn't buy the '58 Les Paul from the Nigerian Prince who contacted me via email recently?
Yeah about that Terry Kath guitar isntrument. Will you take a Money Order?
Hey guys I sent over the $900 through what's app! Can't wait for my new guitar!
Guitar Center Stole $450 from me. Never doing business with them again
somebody give the guy on the left a comb
Scammers and thieves are my biggest pet peeves. I’m smart enough that I’ve never fallen for one before
You can fight a shark, you can't fight a fall.
The number of mint condition pre cbs fenders circulating is another funny one. As if the production hasn’t stopped to this day…
I was scammed a few years ago from a posting on Facebook. They were selling big name guitar brands for $88. I thought I was getting an Ibanez 8 string multiscale for $88. Three months later, I get sent a pair of women's socks from China. Now when I see those postings, I report them as scams or fraud.
First half of this video is solid advice.
great advice. now I understand why one shop with whom I did not close the deal asked why I had an alternate address for the ship to.
The guy with the beard is cold. He could have at least told his co-worker about his hair. Geez.
If you had a guitar I wanted, I know I wouldn't 'win' it. Also I would call And discuss specs before money, and might want a Tone sample. Sounds like a lot of fuss, but like you said, you want to get me the right guitar, and I want to get the right guitar. I can give you references from people you know.
Someone had some really interesting telecasters with terrible photos for $100 a piece. MIJ paisley caught my eye. Ask to meet up, and suddenly he had just moved 20 hrs away… but was willing to ship. But no PayPal. Hard pass. I noticed that the account had been terminated a few days later.
It’s like a Casino out there!
Keep the change…
I have seen guitars on Reerb that were clearly not what they were supposed to be. If you are buying a vintage model, do your homework.
We love Shawn!
25 or 6 to 4. Epic.
this makes me feel a little better ... I thought those things telling me I'd won something were you guys telling me to f**k off ...
100 percent in on big kahuna
From how to avoid scams to Mrs. Doubtfire. These guys cover it all, lol.
Hey thats Jonathan Robinson!!!! Hi Jonathan!
This was a particularly exciting hair day.
Baxters hairdresser is an artist!! 😂😂😂
If you are identifying as a guy who does not comb his hair, you have nailed it!!!
I can't stand online thieves.
The real crime is a $20,000 guitar !!! Especially on a fender.
Heck even on my favorite brand PRS. Heck over $5.000 is crazy. For a famous player or a NOS 54 Strat, maybe that would worth it... its so sad😢 lol
I know this isn't about guitars but similar scam - I worked with a guy that won a Rolex in a sales contest. He listed it online and had a guy came to look at it. The guy called him back the next day and asked if they could meet at authorized Rolex jewelry store to authenticate the watch. They met and it was of course a real Rolex. Co-worker told buyer he wanted cash (actual cash) A day or 2 goes by and the buyer called and said he was scared to bring cash but he will bring cashiers check and meet him at a bank and asked what bank he wanted to meet at. Co-worker told him name of bank and the guy said Perfect! That's who I bank with. Let's meet at the ____ location. Co-worker meets him at bank. Guy hands him cashiers check, co-worker hands him rolex. Guy leaves. Co-worker deposited check and it turned out it was fake cashiers check the guy printed from his computer. Stay safe out there!!!
Big Kahuna with lots of Jalapena YES!
I think Jonathan‘s problem in a “fight fight“ would be that beard. Granted, it’s glorious, AF, but those gray streaks let you know just where to grab hold of it at. That thing is nothing but a handle for the face you don’t need that in a fight.
I stand corrected - I thought he said 'CHAIR fight'!!
You could have sent him a picture of the guitar in a guitar box Lol😅
Always entertaining guys. God bless you.
I misread the title of this youtube and thought it said "Guitar Cams Are on The Rise"
That would be something, huh?
The one I usually get is “My dad really wants your guitar. Here’s his email so he can pay you”
I would rather be on a high tower trapped there by evil flying sharks instead of water danger in any way.
It seems they disturb individuals that make comments on UA-cam?... not exactly 😎 cool.... strange stuff playing on the emotional side of the minds of potential customers 🤔,?
I'll send my movers. Classic Craig's List scam.
I get 3 fake offers on every Facebook market listing I put up!
Just punch the sharks in the nose. Lol
Gee Baxter, that seems like some fuzzy headed thinking...
If you had shipped the guitar I bet the card company would have done a charge back on Casino Guitars? Right?
Can I do the trenchcoat trick tomorrow at your store? I won't be wearing undies
Saved that guy’s bacon, good on you guys.
You mean those guitars in the background are all real?
1:53 ...Just wait until the scammers start using your voices through a voice changer and chatting with people on the phone. 😅☠
I saw Fall the other day, I will go the shark route.
You’d probably have a heart attack as you’re falling and die before you hit the ground.
Great information. Thankyou.
Guitar scams? Just fix that hair scam!
Guitar scams? You mean the prices Gibson charge?
The guy who was trying to buy that guitar was just trogly. thats his normal voice.
Digging the "Home Alone" reference 6 minutes in (Ya' filthy animal!). Move over, Natalie Wood. Mcauley Culkin owns December🌲
$2mil for a pair of shoes ... that's funny.
4:23 Reverb only protects you up to $1,500 last I heard...
Not true
Grooming supply scams abound as well ;)
Jonathan would take 2 of baxter
$20000 for a guitar is also SCAM
Big, big scam that nobody talks about: Gibson headstocks are designed to break.
It’s only a scam if you don’t know it before buying. At this point it’s so well known it's a meme.
I wouldn’t think it’s a good idea to drop any instrument?
If it ain't broke don't fix it.
@@guitarprepnplus1 Well sometimes they break it and fix it on purpose. See Greemie.
22 years mo break 🤷♂️
Please tell me that man is just coming off a 12 day heroin binge and not intentional styling his hair like that. 🤷♂️
On the plus side, your brand new Chibson has a better chance of the headstock not breaking off.
#silverlining
Guitar prices on Reverb are also a big scam.
