I watched this for Shen Hounan & wang gege but I find the-ex (2ML) shines in his role. His acting was so good and natural. I love how he portrayed his character, the complexity of his ego and his feelings towards her. He may be an egoist but I didn’t find him annoying like the scumbag jerks like few EXes in cdrama. He took her for granted and he realised it too late. Do pay attention to his micro expressions & small gestures and how he delivered his emotions; they were splendid. This drama may have many versions but this one was good. All actors portrayed their characters well. ML & FL are evenly matched in temperament. Both of them are so soft & sweet towards each other. 2ml carried his character excellently. Saved for rewatch.

Really this is my all time favourite version of this plot. Think there’s one with Ma Lejie but that one is very good as well. Really it’s all down to the Main Leads as both sets are wonderful! But this version with Wang Gege and Shen Haonan (think that’s his name), is so good that I have rewatched it many times. What a lovely husband. So sweet and calm and loving and what a lovely family he has. All Thanks to the scumbag otherwise their union might not have happened. Highly recommended !
I thought this was absolutely perfect! Young love choosing to take after a one night stand. The caveat was the ML had feelings for her before. The ex got what he deceived and she never regretted her decision to leave him. The music was befitting I thought and so was the tempo of the movie. I loved the communication, respect and their feelings towards each other and a great ending especially after her ex shows up at the parents delirious. By far one of the best 100% ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@trialenerror I also found it a bit amusing, thinking how come there is no torturing or sadness or misunderstanding. But for those who are still not used to seeing them in a toxic plot it must have been a treat to watch or should I say a sigh of relief.
