How To Make a New Orleans Pecan Praline Cake

New Orleans Pecan Praline Pound Cake Recipe
Pound Cake:
Sift together
3 cups of cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
Cream together
2 sticks of butter
1/3 cup of oil
2 1/2 cup of sugar
After creamed until fluffy add in 4 eggs one at a time
Whisk together
2/3 cup milk
2/3 cup sour cream
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp butter extract
1 tsp almond extract
Alternate wet ingredients and flour mixing into creamed butter until all well combined
Spray Bundt pan with nonstick spray before adding cake batter. Bake on 325 for one hour
Allow to cool completely before flipping out of pan
Praline Cake topping
In a saucepan combine
1 can of evaporated milk
1 1/2 cup of sugar
1/4 tsp salt
Half a stick of butter
Stir continuously on medium for ten minutes
Add 2 cups of finely chopped pecans
Continue to stir until thicken
Carefully pour pecan praline glaze on top of your pound cake - Навчання та стиль

I'M from New Orleans and this cake is a staple of desserts that we make, especially around the holidays, in our homes! She made it exactly how I make mine except I like when it turns to pecan candy or praline candy as some call it, turns hard but creamy right on top of your almond bundt cake. Oh my goodness!!!! Delicious!!! This cake is a must try.

Thanks for a delicious "pound" cake recipe but it's the pecan sauce! And please keep those dairy ingredients pit of the fridge overnight especially if you're not sure exactly what room Temperature is. That's the key for cakes.
