The final part in the continued tribute to what seems to be, an unforgettable gem of an expansion all these years later, and one of the final arcs of the Burning Legion. Teleporting Argus, and then flying over was still incredible today as it was then. Seeing the interactions between Velen & Illidan, the return of Alleria & Turalyon after searching for them in TBC, and getting closer to the end of the Legion & meeting the Pantheon Titans; So many memories, and what seems to be now, a pinnacle of wow storytelling, writing and cinematic detail. The arc between Locus Walker, Alleria and the Void is one of great interest that seems to have taken a stall after Legion, aside from Nzoth's visions. But enough reminiscing. For those who remember, and for those who may have missed it, here's another chance to witness the journey.
Ye for me like, the Imprisoning of Sargeras was the last meaningful chapter of the story, after that what came was a bit "garbage" I really hope that Metzen's coming back will bring some new stuf and story and excitement rather than dong this bad writting what danuser did.
What really made me ENJOY Legion was how OBVIOUS it became that Illidan had been right from the very beginning. It has truly demonstrated how HEAVY his burden was. And people keep calling him the Betrayer...
Because he didn't give a damn about who he hurt in his pursuit of power. He was called the betrayer because he straight up killed people because they tried to stop him from creating a new Well of Eternity just after the previous ripped world's landmass apart and left a hole in the planet. He was supposedly creating an army in Outland to fight the Burning Crusade, but he also allowed the army to do some truly horrific things to innocent people. He was not a good person, nor was any of this "his" burden. He's just a whiney baby who acts like he was the only one who had to deal with the Burning Crusade and didn't actually do anything except open a portal at the end of Tomb.
He was right but he was still an idiot sometimes, all of tbc could have gone a lot better if he even tried slightly to make allies or even just explain things to the horde or alliance
YES, THE BETRAYER, in the eyes of the publicity.. Why do actually people say: The winner is setting the rules... Their opinion is right. And if something drifts off their opinion it is automatically wrong... The same in Warcraft like many things what actually are similiar in a farytale story has simalirities with the real world. Even the fact that in Warcraft there are loser people but in fact that they are only against the rulers opinions... :'D And so yes, he is right. His place is not among them others. Not as long they believe an opinion that only one opinion would be true.. Because in that case his opinion would be wrong. And with that in fact he doesnt fit into among the others..
Probably Illidan’s greatest moment aside from using eye beam on Xe’ra. His demonic form is great and shows his true power in those cinematics. That’s and his smiles and smirks get you every time .
That would be Liam O'Brien, a very successful voice actor in the world of games and anime. He was War in Darksiders, Yasuo in League Of Legends, and the Warden in For Honor just to name a few.

The atrocious writing of the main characters in Shadowlands. Just amazing. Can't wait to see the butchering of the dragons. At least Illidan escaped the butcher shop.
Watch that sword, it was a good thing all along. It will come into play when we have to save her after her awakening. Her vessel has long fallen to the madness. An instrument was needed to weaken the rebirth. Give the mortals a final chance to save her.
Very satisfying villain, great Voice actor (Troy Baker godly voice), and such a great presence from WoD, chaining Grommash, chugging demon blood, summoning Archimonde, storming the Broken Shore, killing Varian & Vol'jin, stealing Illidan's body. Would've loved to see him join Kil'jaeden in the final fight for Azeroth.

People argue about how burning crusade or wrath was the best expansion. But Legion did the most and in cinematic fashion to climax and close the most prevalent storylines in all of the games history. The foundational characters and storylines There was and will never be anything beyond sargeras in my mind. He was the origin of vanilla and Warcraft itself and he was its close. Every expansion after that is just trying to keep a storyline going that was beautifully closed enough as is
Yea this is also my opinion. But I also really love the gameplay though. Giving us those Artifact weapons made me really feel like that I was not just a faceless/random "champion" but an actual Hero trying to save Azeroth. And its story actually reminded me a lot off Warcraft 2 and the Warcraft: War of the Ancients books.
Yeah. The reason why the orcs came to azeroth was because of him. If not for Sargeras the horde as we know it would not exist. And the great sundering which happened because of the war of the ancients was because of sargeras.

I started my NE Warrior on launch night of vanilla. I made it to Icecrown, defeated The Lich King, and, having wrapped up all the loose ends from Warcraft 3, decided that I had officially beaten Warcraft and it was over, so I rode back to Darnassus, /sat down in the inn, logged out, and cancelled my subscription that day. And that was that. It was a good decision. Though I am happy to see that they finally did my man Illidan justice.
I think Legion actually won when he stabbed Azeroth with the sword. I do believe that Sargeras really wanted to awake Azeroth in order to fight the Void and the Light. His intentions were not bad but his actions were. I think we will see Ilidan and Sargeras in the future. Don't forget what the devs told us about to look at the red star in the sky, once we will not see it again it is bad. Let's not forget this!
You won’t see a crossover. Warcraft is lighter hearted, while Warhammer is grimdark. The epic scale of Warhammer would dwarf the thumbnail world-building and scale of Warcraft.

Well Illidan goes down like a baddass defying fate and fighting a Titan Arthas got soloed punked and jumped by the worst sub villain, and then reduced to less that a whisp before fading from the plot... his entire character desecrated and his potential wasted

Sargeras can't really be killed, the titans were thought to be killed but they were able to come back. Besides none of the other titans (the only ones who could reasonably kill him) are super weakened to the point where it takes all of their combined strength (and Illidan to a lesser extent) to keep him imprisoned.
Once you notice how slow these characters talk, it's kinda hard to unnotice... "What...... have you..... done?...... Sometimes.... the hand of fate...... must.... be.... forced.....
Strangely enough given the title, I was expecting a little more Illidan vs Sargeras, and not all the other random sh... stuff. I realise these cinematics might have been in order, but they showed two things about the I v S fight, and the second one was 'all'. Disappointed.
In Warcraft while you follow Gul'dans path in the Campaign. He is much more Epic, even Illidan is more epic. It seems WoW really did mess up the story and the feeling.
compare this bs to the trailer from black temple, fury of the sunwell etc. this poor story writing and telling is what made me quit after wotlk, i played a bit of cata, but didnt sit right with me. the sotry became... lame (and gay by extention) the cut scenes always talk the same bs "destiny, powwer, will, love" boring AF good thing that on YT i can watch on 2x and skip, i would be falling asleep when i would need to watch this ingame (you kind of have to if you want to know the story, but the story is shit)

Sargeras can't really be killed, the titans were thought to be killed but they were able to come back. Besides none of the other titans (the only ones who could reasonably kill him) are super weakened to the point where it takes all of their combined strength (and Illidan to a lesser extent) to keep him imprisoned.

Strangely enough given the title, I was expecting a little more Illidan vs Sargeras, and not all the other random sh... stuff. I realise these cinematics might have been in order, but they showed two things about the I v S fight, and the second one was 'all'. Disappointed.

In Warcraft while you follow Gul'dans path in the Campaign. He is much more Epic, even Illidan is more epic. It seems WoW really did mess up the story and the feeling.

compare this bs to the trailer from black temple, fury of the sunwell etc. this poor story writing and telling is what made me quit after wotlk, i played a bit of cata, but didnt sit right with me. the sotry became... lame (and gay by extention) the cut scenes always talk the same bs "destiny, powwer, will, love" boring AF good thing that on YT i can watch on 2x and skip, i would be falling asleep when i would need to watch this ingame (you kind of have to if you want to know the story, but the story is shit)
