    "What's the catch?" Well the catch is that you will never actually own the car and even if you choose to buy the car in the end, you're paying way more than you actually would on a traditional hire purchase arrangement.

    • @malbec3608
      @malbec3608 5 років тому +1

      Agree. And if u were to return the car to MBM, u have to standby cash to return the car in its tip top condition just like as u just gotten the car.

    • @hafrizshah4937
      @hafrizshah4937 5 років тому +10

      Like I said, it's ideal for those who change cars regularly. If you were to buy the car with a bank loan, you'd sell it after 3/4 years anyway.
      If you had taken a short loan, then cool, what you get when you sell the car can go into the next car. But, you'd have paid a much higher monthly instalment along the way.
      Or, if take a longer loan, the cash you get back when you sell the first car would be just about enough, or a little bit more to cover the outstanding amount in the loan.
      Point is, specifically for those who change cars every 3 years or so (and there are many of us), Agility makes a lot of sense.

    • @hafrizshah4937

      lone ranger in my experience, they were not all that particular on the car's condition upon return. As long as it's in reasonable condition.

    Please be careful with the information provided by this video. It can be quite misleading.
    $8k vs $5k. After 3 years of paying $8k per month, you own the car. Yes you would have paid $108k more but can the 3 year old car resell for more than that amount? I would say yes!
    From my understanding, the Agility program has higher interest rates too. At the end of the day, you might be worse off if you are not careful witn the numbers.

    • @LemtemPoktui
      @LemtemPoktui 4 роки тому

      Leasing will always be more expensive than buying. But it has it's own perks. For example once you're done with your lease, you can just get a new car without further downpayments.

    I like the idea of agility financing. I believe Nissan has taken steps to implement this financial as well. I am a guy who is always bored after a few years of using the cars and someone who is chasing new cool tech. Having it finance, I have to use the car at least 3/4 yrs before need to pay the difference to the bank, waste of money since finance will sakau the interest for the first 3/4yrs loan tenure. Hafidz, can you give an example of Merc agility finance using an actual sample, say C200 or GLC200?

      normally i'd agree on the "2nd hand car is better" principle but not for premium cars like mercs or beemers. can you imagine the amount of cash you'd have to splurge just on spare parts and/or servicing/maintenance on top of the monthly installment you'd still have to pay for? jesus.
      bottom line is; agility is for people who intend to switch cars after a few years, and never get a 2d hand premium car (unless risk and affordability aint a big issue for you)

Later on the scheduled maintenance would also include more and more replacement parts such as the brake discs, so do prep for that too. Tyres, it was around RM5,000 after the first 20,000 km.
