Yep, Dreamcatcher and InSomnia basically won the World Cup with that first win. That's how it feels. 🥳🥳😭😭 Show Champion gave them extra time, normally the broadcast gets cut somewhere in the middle of the encore. Only fair, the girls waited for this moment for 1923 days.
And that landslide for the 3rd win was really quite something!

My journey with Dreamcatcher only started with Maison and the exact moment I found them might be why I'm so attached to them. Maison came out on a Tuesday, I think, first time I ever heard one of their songs and watched all the MVs was 2 days later on the Thursday, by Saturday I was hooked, loved the members and their personalities. I remember getting up the day they won and opening UA-cam to see the video saying FIRST WIN. I still can't believe it was only the first and ever since then I've watched the music shows and voted for them to try getting them more wins and I'm so proud to see how hard insomnias work for those wins and to support the girls.

I was right in grabbing a paper towel before this one 😭I've already cried over that first win countless times, and now I'm having flashbacks to sitting at my PC at like 6am with a death grip on my lightstick crying over that unexpected 4th win as well. 😅 This was a fantastic video to end the deep dive with and I wanted to say thank you for taking the time to do it! I love Dreamcatcher more than pretty much anything in the world and being able to follow along with someone as they fall in love with them too is one of my great joys lately. Sobbing- thank you for letting us watch your journey. This is such a beautiful way to finish your Deep Dive. You most certainly are officially part of the Insomnia fandom. There's no such thing as joining a fandom "too late"- I'm glad you were able to discover Dreamcatcher when you did.
Watching the wins all over again makes me so emotional. The members all have different backstories and personalities that make watching these wins an emotional rollercoaster. Our charisma rabbit leader Jiu carries the weight of being the leader all the time, and she blamed herself for Minx not doing well. Our queen Sua, who trained the longest and is one of the oldest members, spent so much time dreaming of this goal. Our wolfie Siyeon, who really struggled under the Minx concept, has fought to reclaim the traumatic memories of her previous debut, all while being a killer main vocal who continues to impress us. Our ice princess Handong, who came to Korea to study, and auditioned against her father's wishes, joined a company and debuted while still learning Korean. Our puppy Yoohyeon has always been constantly striving and working to become a version of herself that InSomnias would love, even though we would love her anyways. Our panda Dami pushes aside her own emotions to take care of the other members of the group, while also constantly giving us incredible performances. Our (cutie) maknae Gahyeon debuted at a really young age, and dealt with hate that she definitely never deserved.
Dreamcatcher and everyone who works hard to make their performances what they are deserve all the love in the world. I look forward to seeing the group grow, as more people realize how talented, deserving, and hardworking they are.

Thanks for your reaction! I was there that time watching those shows online and voting for DC. I couldn't believe my eyes that DC won, started to cry and made a phonecall to my friend, crying, and got my friend startled and worried about me, and I just wanted to share with my friend that "my dear DC has won, finally!". Also, the hashtag for the second voting on the Sh-- Show that InSomnia posted basically everywhere, in every post, it was "JusticeForDejaVu". That second Maison win was for Deja Vu.

18:34 Rogue, it was a harsh memory at first, listening to each fandom bragging about their artist gets some achievement here and there while we InSomnia being told many unpleasant things by others like what the girls felt is just like what we felt also, but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger... InSomnia evolves just like Dreamcatcher evolves, from 2000ish people and then growing to 100K-ish wasn't an instant process, as the Ladies started to add more and more friends, InSomnia did the same... spreading love and adding friends... i got InSomnia Friends from all around the world that is still in contact and sometimes we plan to go to concerts together either in Europe or USA... for me, it's basically around 8 years give or take... but now, it's all is a good memory...
ps: revenge is best served cold. especially with the first win!!

Seeing DC get their first win was always emotional, but the fact moonbin was an MC when it happened and hes gone now, god damn does it take you on a rollercoaster of emotions.

I love that they expected the third win but the fourth one took Jiu and Sua by surprise. Both of them got super emotional and Jiu was just crying throughout.

Thanks for doing DC. Very much appreciated that you took the time, the effort and had the stamina to persist. I did request 3YE some time ago. They only have about 6 songs which includes the four year fan song they did a few weeks ago. Their last comeback was over two years ago. They have also covered some unusual songs in foreign languages depending which country the cover was from. I think one may have been Arabic. They are a three piece girl group. They also did a short tour of Europe last year, but didn't come to England.

Bon Voyage was my first comeback as an InSomnia and the fact that my body woke me up to see both wins live was a surreal experience. Still kicking myself for not researching them more back when Odd Eye was released, I didn't go back to them again until after Vision came out. 😢 thank you for this deep dive! I only got into Dreamcatcher in late 2021, following the untimely disbandment of my other ult group Gfriend (who were ironically one of the last nails in Minx's coffin). I caught up to speed with their background and history and fully expected to be disappointed with my first experience of their comeback as it seemed like the universe was against them ever winning; but as fate had decreed, I witnessed as a new baby insomnia, their first ever win with Maison. Back then I felt a little imposter syndrome being so happy for them as I hadn't been there through their slow climb through the years; I spent the next months plowing through their videos, music, profiles and articles to further immerse myself in the fandom. I dare say you have accomplished in a month or so, through your deep dive and interaction with the fandom, what I had in the whole year in between their Maison wins and now with Bon Voyage. Well done.
😭 that means so much! I just love them and the fandom 🥰🥰 Trust me I was feeling that imposter syndrome on that 3rd and 4th win as well! Being such a baby insomnia, it felt weird being so happy for them and not being there for the others!
Apocalypse: Save Us was the first kpop album I ever physically bought even though I had been a fan of DC's music since Deja Vu, so it was extra rewarding to see them get their well deserved first win with Maison!
I had been voting a little on the relevant apps, but since work was kind of hectic, I sadly couldn't spend too much time on it, but by pure happenstance, on the day of the first win, I just got home from work when the music show was rounding off the last performance and I managed to catch that legendary moment.
Much like how the girls reacted, I watched the countdown thinking "nah, it couldn't possibly happen now, right?" and within the next few seconds proceeded to break down into tears I didn't even know I was holding back.

I'm already so excited for their next comeback! They're a group that wins now. They're contenders, and they're not easy to beat anymore.
The fandom gets bigger with every comeback. What I love is that because DC's rise in popularity has been slower than groups in big companies, they still feel new after 6 years. Feels like they're constantly creating buzz & being discovered Iike a rookie group. They might be in a position to have some rare longevity in K-pop, especially internationally.
I'm just always so excited for them and for what's next for them, and us, I suppose lol

I've been a K-Pop fan since 2018 but only started really paying attention to releases, MVs, etc in 2020. Even when I started paying attention I never voted for a music show win before Maison and it was all because SuA said that one of her goals for the new year was to get 1st place. Who am I to disobey the Queen?! Seriously though, I realized that it was two way relationship and by voting & streaming I could repay Dreamcatcher for how much I love their music. The Bon Voyage wins were much harder than the Maison wins because another fandom had only a small window to win as well and they underestimated Insomnia due to a perceived small fandom size(Deja Vu and the Dystopia trilogy effectively doubled the fandom size!) and pure arrogance. Even with voting and streaming the other fandom had absolutely massive physical sales and two more days for streams. But somehow Insomnia pulled out two wins! Dreamcatcher and Insomnia are alike in that we will do the unexpected and surprise people again and again. Next comeback our goal is to get a win on MCountdown as well as The Show and Show Champion. Other shows are out of reach for the moment unless Dreamcatcher releases the most casual listener friendly song imaginable or the song goes viral during promotions.
There are plenty of great videos left for you to watch. Dreamcatcher has so many fun performances and Insomnicsy has a billion videos! You're a real Insomnia because you're watching their videos for pleasure and never feel like you have to record every time you watch something. I have a Dreamcatcher playlist of over 100 videos because sometimes I just miss Dreamcatcher. I will recommend Minx busking videos and the Why Did You Come To My Home? stage mix because they're cute and seeing baby anyone always makes me smile.

Agreed that Deja Vu should have gotten them a win. I mean I LOVE Everglow but song wise, i mean, Adios vs Deja Vu??? Bruh... Its not even comparable. One is a very solid banger and the other one is a LITTERAL MASTERPIECE.

So, I hope you will eventually get to DreamCatcher Mind, their reality show (but obviously take your time, rest, relax, there's no reason to rush). That show is loaded with FUN! There is one moment that will break your heart, too, but that's halfway through the ten episodes (Episode Six). The show really ended too soon. I wish they had kept going, but I guess they were prepping for Maison so they stopped filming when Episode Ten was done.

For me the high point of the first win was when Dami cried. Dami cried? Dami cried! Dami crying made all the years of streaming and disappointments worthwhile. Kinda weird, but there it is.
The Show Choice win was bittersweet for me because they were up against Kard, who have a very similar history to Dreamcatcher. They're not the mainstream and more popular outside of Korea just like Dreamcatcher. They've also never won a music show. Dreamcatcher have always wanted to do a collaboration with them and there are friendships between the two groups. I hope Kard get a win this year.
Dami crying will always get me!! She always stays strong for the others to take care of them and seeing her cry is just a touching moment! 🥰😭
The 4th win was the most crying for me because they won against really strong lineup like g idle, le sserafim,enhypen and aespa ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I love that on their second win they’re super professional and happy, as if they’ve won many many times before :D
The fact that their first win was against IVE - Love Dive and Big Bang - Still Life is crazy. We were so incredibly lucky that they cannibalised each others votes, letting DC and Insomnia (with help from other fandoms like Moos and Orbits among others) swoop in and snatch the win.
Then there’s second win and the 14 point margin on the same show where they lost by 10 or so against Everglow (the conspiracy theory has been debunked btw, SBS wasn’t anti DC).
And then again with the fourth win, tiny tiny margin against some real titans: (G)I-DLE, aespa, ENHYPEN and LE SSERAFIM! Somehow Insomnias keep pulling off impossible voting feats 🎉
I didn't realize until the other day that or fandoms joined in to help with the voting! 🥰 That fourth win was also very special, winning over those groups!
