Yep had to have a good think about the game. My insist was to say Madrid rode their luck. Ancelotti took from their previous season Hammering by trying to prevent City playing for the first 20 minutes. My problem is that if City scored people would have piled praise on City. As it stands this reminded me of Palace vs Liverpool. City hit the bar from a mistake and scored from a mistake whereas Madrid exploited a long kick to score a quality goal holding on to the lead using a great defensive display.

CARVAHAL played a tough game so credit but for me , once Madrid adjusted to cover the right , he ensured nothing came down his side and thus limited City to a more predictable attack. With it only coming in from the left, and with Silva being restricted to cutting un on a weak angle, Madrid could afford - and expect - go absorb pressure knowing it wasn't really dangerous.
