    ABOUT TUTORIAL
    Team Projects are now available to use with individual Creative Cloud Accounts, this means you can share your project files and assets over the cloud and collaborate with multiple editors or 1 additional editor (from anywhere), with a good internet connection of course! My team and I use Dropbox to share file assets with each other and Team Projects to edit and share projects that we can open simultaneously.

    Hi, this is a great video. But when it comes to editing graphics can be a bit complicated. Depending if you right click and select - replace with after effects composition-. Sometimes we have to select edit original. So, it is a bit confusing when to use what. Because if we select wrong, the media will be offline with other in the team project. Do you have this video covering this and other thing to pay attention? thanks.

    I have a question about this, I’ve never used to is feature before but the current job I’m working now needs more than one editor. I’ve copied the data from the hard drive and working from proxies at home but is there a way to just share the Project files without having to link everything online?

    Thank you so much for doing what you do - I always check your channel first when I'm stuck - right now I have a client and we use team projects, but her projects are piling up and I want to just save them to another hard drive. I see all our files in my Dropbox, but what I don't see is the actual .prproj file - where is that?

    This is great video. Now, once I turned my project into Team Project. Team project does not support my after effects dynamic links. It just disappeared. Now, I have the same versions of everything. I work in the same computer. Everything is in order. So, Why I don't see my after effects dynamic links? Team Project may sound great in paper but in execution it kind of sucks.

    I'm trying to decided if I should use Team Projects or Productions. I have a remote editor and we use a NAS. Which way would you go?
    Edit: I finished the video and need to give more context lol.
    I do a weekly live video and then I had off that footage to my editor to chop into smaller segments to be reposted on UA-cam.

    My confusion is how best to bring clips from multiple hard drives that are used in a project (mostly video files from shoots over the last few years as we produce a Best Of concept) and copy them all into THE project folder so that moving forward I don't need find all 3 hard drives but can just edit from the primary project hard drive.
    I know to go to Project Manager and select the Sequences and Destination...but when I test the results, it still comes up with tons of missing clips which should have been copied to the project folder.
    Am I missing something in the process?

  • @nicholasolivas317
    @nicholasolivas317 2 місяці тому

    In your example Team projects, you had the scratch disk in the cloud and all the source footage. Doesn’t that get a little too big?
    I heard of every individual colloborator having their own scratch disk on a separate hard drive. Will that work?

  • @tvepiccz

    Hi :) . So um...what's tha actual advantage of using this feature in the first place? Like wouldn't be easier to just have a normal project on the Dropbox along with all the other stuff which has to be there anyway?

    • @MattCampbellArt1
      @MattCampbellArt1 21 день тому

      I'm using it now. The advantage is I can start a project in the morning, my team member works on it in the afternoon and when I get back to working on it I get the updated version. No uploading or downloading of a project file.

    Great tutorial! I'd like to have another editor help with our videos and this seems like a great solution though I'm a bit intimidated by the media management. I'm going to see if I can use Google Drive and only upload the Proxies. I'm not sure how the final export would work though.

    • @jaymejoyce6401
      @jaymejoyce6401 9 місяців тому

      @@mrqsjones Yeah I was thinking this also. This is probably not an issue for most people doing short stuff with fast turnarounds, but won't be sustainable for me, unfortunately. Even though I have an unlimited Dropbox plan, which is expensive, I only have 1TB of desktop storage. This isn't typically an issue for short projects. For this project (and a couple of other long-form 4K projects that came to me simultaneously) I think we are going to set up a Synology NAS similar to one of the setups in this video: ua-cam.com/video/Wc9er5NTn9U/v-deo.html

    Hey gal I'm from India.. I don't think so I can afford premier's subscription is it possible to do such things in da Vinci resolve?
    Are you planning to switch in it.. cause lot of creators are switching these days

    • @PremiereGal
      @PremiereGal  11 місяців тому +1

      If you're not making enough video business to afford a subscription, then I recommend using free software like Capcut or Resolve until you can justify the cost. Team Projects are a huge benefit to people who share complicated projects between multiple editors, otherwise if you only occasionally edit, a basic software editor will suffice.

    Can u get good money by making documentaries or the demand for them is not high? I feel like some commercials are more in demand but they don’t really interest me

    • @PremiereGal
      @PremiereGal  11 місяців тому +1

      For sure Documentaries require a lot of fundraising, from grants/ngos etc or private investors. They are the least likely to make good money in the box office, but they be sold to streaming platforms for a great price if it wins awards etcs.

    Is dropbox fast enough to edit 4K footage in Premiere?

    • @PremiereGal
      @PremiereGal  2 місяці тому +2

      The recommendation when using dropbox would be to get the Dropbox app and make that project folder available offline, so it still syncs to the cloud, but you're essentially working locally off your internal drive. Then when the project is done, you can make that folder "Online Only" so it no longer takes up local space. I have a 4TB Internal Drive and it works for me, I think you can set Dropbox to an external ssd...but I have not done that yet.

    • @mittaw
      @mittaw 2 місяці тому

      @@PremiereGal I see, editing offline and syncing the project when it's done makes sense. Thank you so much for your response! Appreciate it.
