Inspirational. I like your concluding lines …. “Every statue was once a rock. It will become a rock again if we do not know when to stop sculpting”

It's amazing, I invested almost the way you explained. Patience, Discipline, Regular increment and Not jumping in every high and low of stock markets has been the key. I've been investing almost 18 years and can see the results now. I too generally don't listen to so called big market experts in conventional media or social media. The more one confuses himself the better chances of fall.

Reminds me of my own journey which started around 2005. Two interesting questions I have for you or other old timers are 1) Considering the total portfolio is now quite big , what % of your portfolio do you investment each month now ?
    2) How much % of your portfolio should one invest to make a real impact after investing for more than 10-15 years ?

    • @pattufreefincal

About 1% of the porfolio a month.

@@pattufreefincal Thanks. I am investing 0.64%. It's getting tougher to invest even that much as the portfolio grows. It's a good thing one way but makes me wonder if 0.64% is really impactful. 😀

    Hello Pattu sir,
I just want to thank you from bottom of my heart for things you have taught me and others in your articles and videos. Every question i had, i was pretty sure that you had some kind of article on it. To the point that i just had to type "freefincal" next to the question. I can't be thankful enough. I made my first rolling returns calculator and a decent enough retirement calculator and tracker specific to my needs.
As an engineer, i suffer with early optimization syndrome. Watching your videos i understood how insignificant it is to optimize things that don't matter. Funny thing is, i don't even have enough captial to optimize. I will try to use this motto elsewhere too, if i find myself optimising even before things are in place, i will hear your voice say "Stupid people do that".
I am 26, i am far better off investing in some index fund for now and concentrate on getting a bigger pay.
I love that making rolling returns calculator taught me the game is to manage risk (proper asset allocation), returns are in god's hand.
All thanks to you. Wish you all the success in the world. Because your success would help thousands of people achieve financial independence in life. I am an atheist but God bless you!

Thanks for sharing your learnings, Audits regularly. They are very helpful. Few questions - Till what time you continued with SIP? After SIP did you follow any specific allocation method in your portfolio? Whether you deployed extra cash in market downtime in your journey.

It Has been quite some time since you've addressed REITs, I'd like to have 10% of my portfolio in REIT. I feel this removes much of the hassles related to real estate now, and 10% exposure to real estate hassle free, sounds attractive to me. would love your thoughts.
