It's about time that reactors starting reacting to legendary *ITV* dramas... The dramas which constantly beat *BBC One* in the ratings for a reason... Yet I haven't seen a reactor watch a single *ITV* drama ever, as they're only interested in: British Sitcoms - Mainly by the BBC and Channel 4. British Dramas - Which have been distributed by Netflix or HBO outside of the UK.

However historians have pointed out that the type of replaceable razor blades that were sewn into their hats were not manufactured in Britain until 1908. Considering the real Peaky Blinders were founded in the 1880s and were taken over by Billy Kimber by 1910 the name clearly predates the introduction of these razors. Also the whole Billy Kimber thing isn't a spoiler for the show as the show changes some things.
My best friend is a direct descendent of one of the gang - Harry Fowles. Youll see him if you search the peakys on wikipedia, theres a great Birmingham historian by the name of Carl Chinn, himself related to one of the gang. Please take time to watch some of the videos hes created, very fascinating.
The writing in this show is phenomenal and because the seasons are so short there's not a single wasted episode or scene, everything has substance and meaning! And the cinematography is outstanding! You boys are in for a treat, especially when a certain character makes his appearance in season 2 😉

Tommy was a tunnel digger, digging silently in the direction of the enemy trenches, until he arrives under those trenches and detonate an huge explosive charge. The Germans were doing the same. Sometimes two tunnels jointed and the man had to fight man to man. You should watch some "Flanders Fields battles" documentaries before continuing to watch this show.....to understand the kind of man Tommy is...
I suspect there is a communication between a lot of the larger reaction channels to exploit the algorithm as much as possible. Might be fringe-conspiracy-theory territory but if it was me I sure as Hell would.

This makes me happy. This is one of the best television series ever made. In my opinion. Pay attention to the details fellas. There’s a bunch of small details that make the story so much more deep.
Like the fact that practically everyone from stuff like *Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey, Happy Valley, Emmerdale, Harry Potter, The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings* and *Peaky Blinders* has filmed in my city, most of which have filmed in a building just 1.5 miles down the road from me in *Bradford* the world's first *UNESCO City of Film* which is used for at least 17 different locations in the show.
Several of the exterior shots were filmed at the Black Country Living Museum which is just a few miles away from me. So to see somewhere I've walked myself appear in this show was quite strange at first.
Right at the end of the reaction into the review, around 31:45, Answer's probably thinking of Scream. Red Right Hand is in almost all of the Scream movies.
I remember hearing an interview with a Birmingham local historian who wrote a book on the Peaky Blinders; apparently, his grandfather was one of them. He was very clear on two points: 1. Historically, they did become powerful enough that they were able to influence the racing up at Aintree, but after that, the show DEFINITELY deviates from history. 2. As happy as he was that Cilian Murphy had made the Brummie Accent sexy, he wanted to hammer home the point that the Peaky Blinders were violent, dangerous men. Which is probably true of every romanticised gang.
So pleased you're reacting to this, it's one of the best, well written shows ever. Some of the shots are fantastic. From across the pond 🏴 by order of the peaky blinders.

The accents being so thick is why I couldn't get anybody to watch this show with me lol, they all kept tapping out early in the first episode! I love the accents though, and the show is BRILLIANT once you can understand what's going on.
The cinematography is amazing in this show as you keep going. The slow motion shots. The angles during conversations. When they hold on to Tommy's face intently listening but not giving anything away, his pauses before he speaks - he defines power. Almost like The Godfather

Did you recognize Helen McCrory (wife of Damian Lewis) who played Narcissa, Draco Melfoy`s mother in Harry Potter? Sadly, Helen McCrory died in April 2021 (age 53). Great actress. R.I.P. Helen.
Early episodes were filmed in the Black Country Living History Museum in Dudley West Midlands, this museum has streets depicting different Era's with original buildings that were saved and rebuilt at the museum, there is a coal mine, a canal and barges, old houses , shops and pubs. There are also old workshops to show how things were made before industrialisation, people who work there give live demonstrations. Its a fabulous reminder of the past. There are other living museums, Blist Hill Victorian Town Shropshire, Beamish Living Museum County Durham,

They toned them down for the show.
Possibly the greatest achievement of this show is that it convinced the world that Brummie accents are sexy.

The cinematography is amazing in this show as you keep going. The slow motion shots. The angles during conversations. When they hold on to Tommy's face intently listening but not giving anything away, his pauses before he speaks - he defines power. Almost like The Godfather

A lot of fun writing, a lot of good drama, very tight plot, and believable sets and acting. A fun watch, i think ive seen up to season 2. Interested to see if you guys like it too!

Sadly, Helen McCrory died in April 2021 (age 53). Great actress.

Early episodes were filmed in the Black Country Living History Museum in Dudley West Midlands, this museum has streets depicting different Era's with original buildings that were saved and rebuilt at the museum, there is a coal mine, a canal and barges, old houses , shops and pubs. There are also old workshops to show how things were made before industrialisation, people who work there give live demonstrations. Its a fabulous reminder of the past. There are other living museums, Blist Hill Victorian Town Shropshire, Beamish Living Museum County Durham,
