I cannot find words that due justice to just what a truly outstanding, virtuosic, consciousness-expanding performance this is. I've listened to so much music in my life across numerous genres, but I can honestly say I think that compared to just about anything else out there, this, for me, is really at the pinnacle of human musical expression. To think that this entire, incredibly complex and sophisticated arrangement is learned by heart (not a stitch of sheet music to be seen) by each musician, and each of their parts interlocks so seamlessly, it's something of a minor miracle really. I'm so glad for this video because, even though I have pretty much all of Dewa's recordings and love listening to them, this is the first instance where I've gotten the chance to *see* his gamelan in action as well. Truly amazing music - thank you Dewa Alit and Gamelan Salukat.

I LOVE the ways all the rhythms are so clearly articulated. I've listened to gamelan for years and this somehow seems so explicit in the melody-rhythm synergy. To say inspiring is not even half way there.
