Great video! I am involved in watches but really starting to have more and more interest in vintage Omegas recently. Your videos discuss the complexities, details of the complications and variations in case configurations that I cannot find in any printed sources anywhere. Is it possible for you to list any details of each of the models shown here? I understand what would be involved in that. What about listings I specifically ask about? There are some multi-dial chronos in this video that I would like to have the model and movement number. Any knowledge you could share would be greatly appreciated. And again, wonderful job providing the level of information and background in your videos. Your material is truly unique.

I'd have to go with the 1960s versions, with the Pie Pan Constellations being particular favorites of mine. I own one, which I foolishly had the dial refinished on when I got it 20 years ago. The dial looks better than it did, but you lose the crisp edges when you refinish these. The 561 movement still keeps +2 seconds/day when serviced.
Thank you for the comment. That's right, it takes a very good dial maker to properly refinish a pie pan and retain the sharp edges. But regardless, of how great the refinish can be a specialist will still be able to tell whether it has been redial or not.
Thanks, it helped me date my 4th Seamaster as a 1951, it is an automatic with sub second hand, seems to be holding time well. WIsh I could get some crowns and straps for these. I couldn't get the case to open to get the serial no. I can't find my dad's opening tool yet. Strange how the eye misses stuff. watching your video, I noticed the marking at 5 o clock is missing from my dial (just the two holes there) and my3 is missing a tiny bit off the bottom tip... I think it gives more character, but yeah, if you have any sources for this kind of thing...
You're welcome. Unfortunately, I do not supply or sell watch parts. Only offer complete watches. With regards to a 1951 Automatic Seamaster, then it should carry a bumper automatic movement. When you shake the watch you should be able to feel the automatic weight bouncing from one side to the other.
1968 seems especially nice to look at. Some people may find the design elements too rectangular, but somehow it hits the mark for me. They have this "graphic" quality, which enhances the readability, perhaps. There is just a sense of balance... 1968! I also feel the 50s designs, which preceded the pie pan, accomplished a similar feat with the two-tone dials, while being a bit more subtle.
Thank you for the input and remarks. Not to mention that there are a few models from early 1960s still in manufactured in the late 60s. Couple examples would be the dog leg Constellation and the Seamaster Deville. You will see them throughout the entire early 60s to early 70s.
Omega had many different 1963 Omega references, it would be hard for me to tell you which one is your. You can always create a post on the Omega forums showing a photo of your watch and I am sure someone there will be able to assist you.

thank you for your comment. That model is a CK 2937. You can learn more about it in this early video that I made: ua-cam.com/video/nfH9tYQVTDU/v-deo.html The dial variation will vary, the one in this video is a Bullseye type dial which is uncommon. You can always visit my website to view for sale pieces: www.omegaenthusiastltd.com
Wow some beautiful time pieces have passed through your hands. Do the dates represent the first year of that particular model or the year of manufacture of the watch it's self.
Thank you for your comment and good question! I tried to do that, but unfortunately, that was not achievable for certain year. For example, certain models will have different hands variation between years. And some will have the print changed between years. Example of that would be a 1965 Seamaster 600 will become a Seamaster 600 Geneve in 1967 and then become a Geneve in 1968/69.
Well anything 30T1 and T2, is insane that they build those things back then, the Artdeco stuff, huge dial sub second, the 1966 seamaster 600 and the one missing the chronostop 1968 or 1969.
I personally feel that as Omegas got more minimalist and classy they started to lose a little bit of personality, even though they're still very clearly and uniquely Omega in style. The sweet spot for me is the transitional period where many of the collectable models had been added to the Omega range but hadn't yet become quite so identifiably stylised. Seamasters, Geneves and Constellations from around 1955 - 1962 are the kinds of things I'm talking about. I love the crosshair dials, pie pans, slightly art deco indices, more delicate stainless steel cases, 50s style Arabic numerals etc. I find that patina on original late 50s dials often suit them where on later watches that are a little more sleek it detracts from the clean aesthetic rather than adding to the period charm. Some absolutely beautiful movements in that time period too, both mechanical and automatic.
Never have I owned or worn one. Can't really say unless Omega send me one to make a review on I can tell you my thoughts. But I am very positive that it is a sturdy watch and you can't go wrong with the movement. Buying a watch is not only about looking good, but the mechanism will need to be just as great.
In terms of a favourite decade, if I can’t chose ‘all of them’ it’d have to be the Seventies, as that was when I was a teenager with catalogues and dreams.
@@SpaceSpice F300 is a tuning fork movement. It has coils and takes a battery that is discontinued but can be replace with a modern day Renata 344 battery. Quartz = battery. I am a watchmaker and an Omega specialist. I am sure I can tell a battery operated watch apart from one that is not.
@@TimelessHistoryChannel "Quartz = Battery" ok mr big brain who knows everything... what than you will say about Moving coil system, contact controlled: refers to watches with a balance wheel with integrated coil, fixed magnets and mechanical contacts. Examples of this technology are Hamilton 500 (first retail electric watch in 1957), Epperlein 100, Champion (Ruhla / UMF), Slava 114ChN and Timex M40. That doesnt have Quartz, they have other principle of work, for example transistors before the age of quartz and Seiko Astron (Quartz series) that was made much more later. - seems "Quartz =\= Battery" and yes you are sure can tell a battery operated watch apart from one that is not".

Just Deville alone? I do have some, but I couldn't fit everything into one video. And Deville only will date to the very late 60s which there are too many examples already. I also find them to appear too similar to a Seamaster Deville beside the shorter lugs. Sorry about that. :-(

I would go for the Seamaster de Ville 1965!
Can anyone ID the watch at 8:35?
Ref. 166.0140, carries a caliber 750 movement. 35.3mm diameter excluding the crown. 41.3mm lug to lug.
Thank you!
Well anything 30T1 and T2, is insane that they build those things back then, the Artdeco stuff, huge dial sub second, the 1966 seamaster 600 and the one missing the chronostop 1968 or 1969.
Fair enough. Can't really go wrong with anything you pick
Loved them all apart from the very early rectangular ones !
Little sad to hear that since I do like rectangular models, haha. But it's your personal preference after all and thank you for the comment!
The Pie Pan without a doubt...
I saw my seamaster chrono😁!
he was definitely a candidate for this video!
Do you know anything about the old omega on my profile picture
The image is too small. But it looks to be an Omega reference CK 2279.
Surely some of the nicest designs in the industry. Thanks for the video! By the way, what's the music? It sounds familiar.
Honestly, I am unsure as I randomly grabbed the music from my video creator app.
Can you do a review on the Seamaster Deville date please?
There are many Seamaster Deville case model with date. Here is one: ua-cam.com/video/uf7COUUkYfk/v-deo.html
Omega Enthusiast, is it possible that some Seamaster Deville Date doesn’t have the “waterproof” marking on the back?
Absolutely. Some case back will be completely blank as well.
Omega Enthusiast , what is the price range for two tone in good condition from your expert opinion?
omega ba 595.0006
Is vintage?
How much value in market for it?
Vintage Quartz. First introduced around 1978. I do not appraise sorry.
Merci
Thank you for sharing this with us. Greatly appreciated!
I am from Bangladesh,i have a vintage golden ladies omega watch. My mother bought it in 1971
Thank You So Much 😍😍😍🌈🌈🌈🙏🙏🙏
I know you are into vintage, but what are your thoughts on the Omega Seamaster 300m?
Never have I owned or worn one. Can't really say unless Omega send me one to make a review on I can tell you my thoughts. But I am very positive that it is a sturdy watch and you can't go wrong with the movement. Buying a watch is not only about looking good, but the mechanism will need to be just as great.
1960's :)
Como puedo saber de qué años es el mío?
In terms of a favourite decade, if I can’t chose ‘all of them’ it’d have to be the Seventies, as that was when I was a teenager with catalogues and dreams.
Do you sell something 1962 omega I need to buy I want to buy Can you let me know
This should be my only 1962 piece left on the site: www.omegaenthusiastltd.com/product-page/1962-omega-seamaster-30-6
I see the 1972 Seamaster isn't the 4 dial Anakin. I'm having one restored.
Anybody have the 1954 reference ? Is that a Seamaster?
Which one? There are 4 different examples. But none are Seamaster. Can let you know the reference number if you like.

1973 Seamaster Cosmic 2000
1948 pie plate or.maybe 1961 ??
What do you mean?
No F300 series? Sad
Unfortunately, I am not a quartz person. :-(
@@TimelessHistoryChannel F300 is not a quartz, it's accutron (turning fork), Quartz series was "Omega Megaquartz"
@@SpaceSpice Ok Mr.expert. Please remove the "battery" out of your F300 and see if the watch still work. Not trying to be smart with you. But if seems like you just cannot accept the true. You ask why I do not have F300 in my video. I told you why and you seem to be very upset about it.
You don't have only Deville ver.
Just Deville alone? I do have some, but I couldn't fit everything into one video. And Deville only will date to the very late 60s which there are too many examples already. I also find them to appear too similar to a Seamaster Deville beside the shorter lugs. Sorry about that. :-(
@@TimelessHistoryChannel No problem, I ask because I am the proud owner of one of these :) www.dropbox.com/s/6i0s8hm5j4m0zfg/Photo%2007-07-2020%2C%2013%2011%2025.jpg?dl=0 and buckle www.dropbox.com/s/vr3ds1b8i95bwh0/Photo%2007-07-2020%2C%2013%2011%2010.jpg?dl=0
@@lsvemir27 Ah! This model deville. That's correct, there is also the tank case model similar to a Cartier as well. Thank you for sharing! It's a nice watch that's for sure.
ho is dynamic ????
Why does everyone hate my cosmic? No love what's over. I thought being gold and automatic it would be a worthy time piece. Everyone laughs at it. It's shattering.
I do not think that is true. Seamaster Cosmic is a very nice watch. But condition is very important when it comes to this model though.
1947, 50 Calendar moon phase
1957 Tuxedo dial
1957 Chronometer sector dial
1959 Seamaster broad arrow
1961 All (birth year)
1966 Gold Chronograph
1973 Square
My oh my, someone thoroughly went through this video. Thank you! Can't go wrong with the two Cosmic Moonphase Triple calendar. The 1973 Square piece is actually new old stock. Haha, fair enough on the "birth year".

50s through the early 60s but how do I buy an original timepiece? I know from watching u that there are alot of watches put together with available parts. How can I get the real deal?
My website is an option. You should watch my video on buying your first watch and what to look for. It will help you a lot and make you become a smarter buyer.
1947 to 1960...the oversized and jumbo manual wind models.
50s and early 60s for me. Definately no the current modern pieces and design as Omega have lost their mojo so to speak IMHO.
I will see this watches ple price and he phone
Omega joye to madi sake
In 1967 things started to go wrong...
Haha, It's ok. There are some really nice late 60s Omega.
Green 1945.
Maybe a third of them I would wear. I am a sucker for the gold ones either solid or plated with clean white faces and sharp gold hands. A number of them from around 47 took my fancy but in reality I wear ones with the date on them for practicality. It is an envious collection you have. I like the round crystal that is easy to find a replacement. I will watch out for some of these online to add to my collection. Thanks very much for putting them on !
Thank you for your comment.
