Kejonuma Leisure Land【Legendary Abandoned Amusement Park】

This is a 4K drone aerial shot of Kejonuma Leisure Land, an amusement park located on the east side of Kejonuma in Osaki City (former Furukawa City), Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.
It opened in 1979 as "Kejonuma Recreation Land". In addition to an amusement park with a Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, and coffee cups, the park also had sports facilities such as a golf driving range, a park golf course, a gateball field, and bumper boats, and accommodations such as a bungalow village, a campground and Kejonuma Park Hotel. There were facilities, Kejonuma Shrine, Ryusen Pond, Himeryukyo Somen Nagashi, etc. In 1982, a concert by the rock band "Godiego" was held on the outdoor stage.
At its peak, 200,000 to 300,000 people visited the park annually, but due to the bursting of the economic bubble, the declining birthrate, and the diversification of leisure activities, the number of visitors has plummeted, and the park was closed in October 2001.
The playground equipment and land have been maintained without being sold separately due to the former operator's policy of not removing until someone who inherits the dream of "making Kejonuma a major tourist destination" appears, and it is used for movies and PV locations.

ありがとうございます。たしかに凄い地名ですね。こういう地名は戦後になって小綺麗な名前に代えられてしまっていることが多いですが、歴史ある名前が残っていることに好感を持ちます。

私は約30年前、クローズの数年前にホテル、遊園地、ゴルフのフロントなどなど、日替わりで色々な所でバイトしました。当時から、ホテルは開かずの間があったり、夜には下女沼に女性の姿が見えるなど噂がありましたが、お客様目線で言ったらまぁまぁ楽しい所でした。私も幼少期は親に連れて行ってもらっていたので…笑
今は廃棄として、立派になっていてある意味嬉しいですね💕
