We travel to Taiwan and Japan every year. Taiwan would have to be the best kept secret travel destination in Asia with stunning scenery, great food, good public transport, friendly people and for Westerners, it's a safe destination with the Rule of Law firmly applied so you're not troubled by may of the 'nuisance' issues you might face in parts of Europe.
The formal name of this trail is called : Zhuilu Old Road. It is one of the trials in Tarako Nation Park. Please refter to the website. www.taroko.gov.tw/en/Tourism/TrailList
+Richard Davis - Thanks Richard and a big thanks to your mum too. We love making the show very much. At the moment we are in pre-production for the start of filming for Series 6 which kicks off in South Korea in just over 2 weeks, which means just under a year from now we will have 10 to 13 brand new episodes. Thanks again for watching. TBUG.
+LJM You should contact Taiwan Tourism Bureau @ eng.taiwan.net.tw They will help you out with everything you need to know and they are great people. Don't forget to mention where you saw the video. You can also provide the link to the Video and they will sort it all out for you. Thanks for watching and I do recommend visiting this area of Taiwan, it really was an amazing experience. TBUG.
Would you say that it's necessary to go up there with a guide? Or can you also do it on your own? :) And how did you contact James? Looking forward to an answer!

Can anyone tell me if the ocean waves are cold in mid-March Hualien?
Flow Mingalin yes
Joseph C thanks what tempurature you think?
Flow Mingalin Pacific ocean tends to be colder even in September...for me anyway
Joseph C do you think I can teach my mate to swim in the sea in March? And what temperature is the sea in Taiwan in those months?
There're some information at www.cwb.gov.tw/eng/index.htm.
Would you say that it's necessary to go up there with a guide? Or can you also do it on your own? :)

Unfortunately, I don't believe you have a choice in this matter. This trail requires a permit and a guide.
Only permit, no need a guide in Taiwanese trails if you know some mandarin
how much does it cost?
You need a permit to go on this trail
🤟💪💪👍👍👍👏👏👏
dıssıpated morgan love.......
As part of the Overseas Chinese Study Tour I was promised a trip to Taroko Gorge National Park but it was cancelled. What a huge injustice!
