This is so great! I don't have any whistles (thing), but I do have several whistles (mouth sound). One I call my Marco Whistle. The kids (and wife) know that with that one, I'm looking for them, and they need to find me (not so much the wife). Usually use it to call them inside.
Thanks for this, I got a Logan two-hole plastic whistle I am trying to figure out for my border collie so I don't have to walk him to herd the sheep. Thought it was a very interesting concept to use shepherd's whistles for small team communications. Would take much more training dedication than learning how to turn on a baofeng.
I’m working with my dog now using (of all things) a duck call I found in one of my boxes in my storage shed. When I have friends over, and I call my dog with that duck call, they all expect a Labrador or some other kind of retrievor… Then they totally freak out when that 165 lb Neopolitan Mastiff comes to me in a dead run (slobber and all). One friend started praying because he “The End is Here”…!!! Harley (dog) and I have not started on protection and attacking YET…!!! But he’s already somewhat protective my grandson… He’ll place himself between Charlie (grandson) and any stranger. Get too close and his growl will get your attention real quick !!! I am looking forward to seeing y’all in the not -too-distant future. Shalom and Blessings, Brother !!!
I carry a lifeguard whistle on my key lanyard every day. Hey I finally orderd the Nortiv 8 boots from Amazon. And am taking them to the Peruvian Amazon in late October. I'll let you know how they perform south of the equator. Todd n Felecia
Indeed it is. They have so much space to roam here but when I leave the property, they follow me and go to one of my neighbors house about 3 miles away.
I used to use clicker and a whistle with my black lab, Shelby, along with a few hand signs. Non-verbal cues are a great way to train...with dogs and a MAG. ;)
Great idea!
Great video content!!! Great info!
Love the video
THAT was interesting to learn about! Bless you, brother.

I’m still breeding goats so you’re good on that!
We need to talk about getting some of those over here to free range munch
