Stumbled across this ancient video in my UA-cam feed today..... So cute.... but also so sad to think that Kiko and Splash are both gone now. What an amazing history you had with them, and what a long and happy life they had, Emily.
@rasmulti The difference between this and a circus is that I never tell my dogs "no" or "you have to!' they can choose not to play the games if they want to. But they always choose to because I made it fun like a game, not like a poor circus animal that is doing it to avoid being yelled at or beaten
wow! That's so cool, Emily! Thank you! We have to play at this! Two handed treat so the dog stays straight! Brilliant. Thank you and God bless you! JJ and Ruthie
Are your dogs from breeders or are they rescued? I am really impressed and think you seem like a really cool person, I wish I could be friends with both you and your dogs
Emily. I've been watching your videos for a few years now and you truly are a dog whisperer. Your relationship with your dogs is unbelievable with not shred of "brutishness" or trying to show them whose the boss. It's just love and affection all round from all of you. Thankyou for showing us the true way to treat our dogs.
Omg LOVE THIS XXXXit actually made me cry !!!! You are the goddess of dogs xxxI’ve just left my totalitarian dog training club I’d been with since getting my puppy a year ago - it was the last straw when it was totally acceptable the dog being strangled as it stood there choking shouted at and strangled by a noose -also I was so programmed to shout various commands such as ‘ leave it ‘ Stay Sit No etc I didn’t even realise I was doing it! I was totally brain washed that was the right way to train a dog - Im watching all of your videos after being recommended only a week ago and can’t believe how antiquated / cruel most dog training is - i totally get your value of not needing to punish or bully dogs - I’m now always calm and kind to my dog and she’s learnt much more in a week than a year of being with this club- Love your work !!! Don’t ever stop 🛑 am recommending you to all my friends!!!! Change to world of ill treatment of our furry friends xxx
Emily, you are the best and most creative dog trainer in the universe, bar none. I fall at the ground and worship at your feet! When are you planning to go on America's Got Talent and take home the million dollars?
I just had an extremely stressful day, part of a seemingly endless chain of many, in which I had two anxiety attacks and before today I had never had one. This made me smile for almost the entire 5 minutes and 39 seconds. Thank you thank you thank you. I can sleep well now. :D
this is a great example of how versatile positive reinforcement training is! and here everybody can see, that you don't have to click and feed all the time when your training is build up nicely and you have a good training history! Thanks for editing! and sharing this!
This is probably one of the best things ive ever seen in my life. I thoroughly enjoyed that! Very, very entertaining! Bravo ma'am, your hard work and training with your lovely dogs has been truely inspiring and eye opening. Keep at it! Give your pups a pat on the head for me.
WOW I've seen so many "advanced" dog trick videos, and my dog knows all the tricks, but right here, you have shown me something new! you and Pam Marxsen out do every "pro" dog trainer I have seen. You use the best methods and love your dogs a ton! THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME SOMETHING NEW TO TEACH MY TOO-SMART DOG!!! And I hope to get vids up soon. Keep training! You are the BEST dog trainer in the world. Honestly.
i have seen two video from u but this is the most amazing video that i see so far. I was crying when i am seeing this. it really is such a beautiful thing to have that strong bond between human and dog. ANd you only use positive reinforcement.
This video is insane. The amount of time and creativity you put into your work is truly amazing. You can tell by seeing this that you genuinely love what you do.
I know this was made a long time ago but it is just so lovely to watch! And that you were training using positive methods to teach your dogs all of these wonderful things is just so inspiring! I could watch you and your dogs all day!
Bin hin und weg, wau was für ein super tolles Teamwork. Die Arbeit und das Team mit anzusehen, macht richtig Spass und Freude. Hut ab. Weiter so. Genial.
c'est magnifique , l'amour que vous portez à vos chiens , ceux ci vous le rendent bien.mercipour cette video agrementée d'une musique sublime.bonne continuation.
Amazing! This basically sums up your awesomeness. Anyone who is doubting it should take 5 minutes out of their life and watch this and they will be convinced! Can you put up a couple tutorials about these tricks? I was hoping you could teach the side-step, which would be great for a dramatic play dead. ("Bang!" Dog staggers to the right, to the left, and then drops dead.)
Awesome mix! I love watching your videos. May I ask - how much time per day do you spend training your dogs? How much for each one? I was working full time until recently, I have changed to part time and now trying to spend as much of my extra time as possible training my two and just spending time with them.
Love to see your dogs playing with you like this. Your training methods inspire me. Thanks for the nice music on this one, too. Keep the vids coming. I watch them all more than once.
how very very cool... and so nice put together. I love all of it. Especially how you coordinate two or even three dogs doing tricks a the same time. Trick training is so much fun and helps strengthen the bond so much. I plan on giving some classes once I more fluent at it... keep it up. Love watching your videos.
All of your tricks are amazing, unique and creative! I hope to someday reach this level. You've been so inspiring to me as I begin my career as a clicker trainer. Thank you!
I've had so many brilliant dogs of different breeds. There IS something about Border Collies though...its just undeniable. Nothing on earth like watching them herd sheep, their true calling:)
@Morkieness If you get the dog to go too fast or too slow- they can't do the proper stepping with their back feet to maintain whats going on in the front, its good to film yourself to see what the back feet are doing- you want the back feet to look like they are taking steps one at a time in time- not flailing about looking lost. :)
@Morkieness Basically I taught Splash to limp with both front legs, then I cued her to limp on one side then the other, so she would do two steps on each foot before changing it.... I used my hand as a visual cue on each side of her body to help her see the foot change at first. actually I am using the hand cue still in the video
It is excellent! I try to train my dog from your youtube. Now, my dog can rolls, bow, spin, byebye and so on. I will do my best to train my dog from now on. Thank you so much, up to many videos on UA-cam. It is my teacher in Japan now. Anyway, thanks a lot!
I need to continue to train my dog too! It can be so rewarding and fun! I do train mine but I don't do it as often as you do with yours. This was amazing and entertaining to watch. Thanks for the inspiration!
I have taught my Golden some neat behaviors as well. I liked your video very much. It is amazing what behaviors a dog can learn. I also enjoyed watching you work with your dogs, you can tell that you love them very much. It is hard to believe people are cruel to animals. Here are a few things Alvin has learned.
LOVE THIS! Even though it might have made me a bit teary eyed. You really deserve a massive Thank You for spreading your remarkable talents and your knowledge about dog training including your creativity of complex behaviors, solving problem behaviors, very helpful training tips, and the use of progressive reinforcement. Without your videos I wouldn’t have the inspiration to be where I am today and others feel the same way, Oh of course mentioning with the help of your beautifully gifted dogs :)
Fabulous - you really think outside the box with your trick creations!! Absolutely awesome :-) Hope when you move to europe you'll consider coming to the UK!
As usual, a wonderful video! I love training positively, and I'm working on being a Progressive Reinforcement Trainer (I have a hard time getting rid of the "ah ah", but I'm working on it!). I love training different behaviours, but sadly I lack your creativity. I plan on getting your videos to become a better trainer, and to learn some new things to train. Again, thank you!
As always, your dogs are brilliant. I'm glad I've got a clicker. Training like you do has worked wonders for her. I have a helpful dog, who is just my best friend. She does all sorts of things that make me happy. This form of training is so easy too. Maybe one day she'll be doing as many tricks as your dogs do.
just amazing Emily, you are an inspiration! soooo many amazing tricks, you did the double cop cop, do you remember me messaging you about that before I had a little dog of my own?! haha! all the tricks are amazing, YOU are amazing!
Hello Emily, You, Splash, Kiko, Tug and Martina's Trisch are such an inspiration to everyone, the bond you have between you all is so beautiful, I would just like to thank you so much for all the hard work you put in to everyone one of your video's:) You are truly and inspiration to many dog trainers out there and you are one of me and Luna's main inspirations and idols:) Thank you Love 8=8 Charlie and Luna 8=8

beautiful. imagine the bond that all the training in sweat and tears would have created between the dogs and the master
Touching music expressing dogs' beautiful loyalty to do amazing tricks for their beloved owner. Awesome.
The dogs are like in complete trance and hypnotised by your love for them.
Your dogs look like they're all having a wonderful time, this makes me so happy. Props to you!

This is really neat. Thanks for putting this online.
It's funny to hear all people saying border collies are the most intelligent breed when ALL the dogs you train do amazing things, not just Splash
Jackysutarrodetierra I think is just easy to teach Border collies.
I've had so many brilliant dogs of different breeds. There IS something about Border Collies though...its just undeniable. Nothing on earth like watching them herd sheep, their true calling:)
