Great comparison and great prompts. I agree with all your decisions except that with the Fishmas design, Ideogram was a step forward with the ugly Christmas sweater look but then a step back for the boring font. If I was shopping for a Fishmas design, I would have bought the Flux design. The phony dinosaur names in the Alphabet design are hilarious! One insight for you regarding the vectorization of the gradients like you had in the plants designs: I've started limiting the number of colors in Vectorizer so the final SVG does not have many gradients, and mostly flat colors. This might or might not work with the watercolor style but works great for other styles. It works especially well if you want only 2 or 3 colors. (DM me if you want an explanation.)
I've got a new interesting discovery regarding gradient vectorizing soon on the channel😉 but turning down the colors is probably a good call in general if the design allows
I am still a huge Ideogram fan, because I tried the first flux version you presented when it came up. Haven’t yet tried flux1. I might do so, though, in this video I quite liked some of the flux versions.
Thanks for the comparison video, Philip-they're really helpful! I have a couple of questions: Were all the samples you showed AI-retouched, or are they straight out of AI generation without any touch-ups? Also, how have you been using results like the last one you showed for Ideogram, where the white text has a black outline? I’m asking because it seems like a background remover tool might either remove the black stroke entirely or leave it only partially intact, given how similar the stroke color is to the background.
Thank you for this video. All of the tools have pros and cons, but I appreciate your insights regarding POD-ready images. Your explanations of what you see really help.
on the birthday girl design I can already see the Kittl background remover tool remove half of the hearts and other little details if you upload it to there and start the bg removal 🙈Kittl unfortunately has a way of destroying the best AI pics from elsewhere and even of designs made by Kittl‘s own AI. It’s like their bg remover is a hungry wolf on designs, it often „eats up“ too much 😛
Interesting comparison! I actually preferred Flux on all of them except it was close on the fishmas one and the watercolor plants did have more variety in ideogram. Different aesthetics!
Nice side by side comparison. In general I don’t think AI is a good option for typography, always better to do that yourself. Unless you have absolutely no design skills or design software but if that’s the case you won’t make it in the POD space.
Compare them with typography the winner you know which one of them takes a while to fix, but one twice is or first strike wins haha I'm not making any money with this just browsing I feel I'm an artist and graphic but with this if I want to use I'll figure what I'll call myself now fake artist o nah alot friend thrown me rocks at me why why well what can you do this gonna be good for office employees or on the go marketing work place much faster for them not hiring a professional anymore. It's great just I guess won't continue using this, tho this probably would destroy my artist of my 30 plus years. I don't need to use this but I bet those that don't have talent will become talented without a pencil being lifted for a draft on paper hahaa all good just people won't understand maybe the person that told me that probably had that network running in his or her business hahaa all hiding and saying they're now better artist's then me haaaa
Thank you! I have been thinking about this for years! 🎉😊
You're so welcome!
Have you tried adding mockup as a negative prompt in ideogram?

Trying to remove text from the t-shirt mockups is a major pain in the butt.
I tried Flux and it failed miserably when it comes to text.
put the text in quotation marks and all capital letters, like this f.ex "MERRY CHRISTMAS"

The christmas design by ideogram is crazy!

Wow amazing job on text!!
how do you extract these designs for tshirts
thanks for showing comparisons
Try a flux ultra Glif, both standard and with the realism switch. 😉 There is a template with an aspect ratio picker on Glif.
What's flux ultra?? Realism sounds like it's not suitable for pod🤔
Wow, this stuff makes comix suitable for coloring books! I am quite amazed by the results. I will definitely take a deeper look into it.

Thats nonsense.
Totally disagree, you probably haven't tried any ai generators before
nvidia made a new open weights model, still not on par with ideogram, mj and flux, but very fast (almost x10 vs flux.1 dev)
Ideogram for the huge win.
better - no, different - yes
I personally prefer the Flux images overall, but Ideogram definitely had some winners in there, too.

Spoiler Alert: it’s a tie
🤫🤫
What’s the price comparison? Seems like ideogram is just $10USD/mo
Flux can be used for free on Glyph. There's no dedicated flux app like with ideogram so hard to compare price
