you done ok on the boat as long as it holds water its good ,as for trailer its full rhs bar not c chaannel , i bought an old Brooker trailer that was twist and bent like a banana ,I used my Porta power to straighten it welded up all the cracks, replaced the rollers , painted it with red oxide epoxy enamel killrust then coated it in white epoxy enamel and it looked nnear new ,a new winch to, dont worry what the "experts" say as long as it works for you.
Yep I think we all have done at least one of these projects but you have done great mate with what u had👍 Built my boat trailer about 25th yrs ago an still going strong an best advice I can offer for looking after it is buy a few cans of the cheap deodorised aerosol fish oil from Supercheap or alike an use it liberally all over ur bolts, u bolts, hubs, springs, winch etc. Anything that is steel coat it as it dries hard an even now a few months ago I replaced some rollers and the bolts came undone easy as👌 I built it in Cairns and have towed it from As far north as Cooktown an south to Melbourne and back an now round an round the sunny coast and no rust to speak of👍 best stuff ever for budget rust prevention 👌 Stay safe budd an looking forward to the nxt part of the build 🤙
Thanks Big D! That’s it mate ever man an his dog have had a crack at building a tinny in their time. We just trying to show the world you don’t have to spend huge amounts of money to enjoy getting out on the water. Abit of hard works to tidy something up to be reliable is all you need. We actually use the same rust proof method on all our trailers. Works at treat 👍🏽
what a good job you’ve done mate. 14 and looking into tinnies and man this helped heaps.

great work ! cool to see a tinny build video ! 🌅🏞️🛻😎🤙📹🌊🐟
Thanks mate!
GREAT VIDEO , AND LOVED WHAT YOU DID TO THE BOAT & TRAILER !! IM SURE THE KIDS LOVE IT TO !!! :)
I love how deep the boat is, for $100 what a steal
Absolute bargain mate! Was alittle worse for ware but nothing abit of time and effort didn’t fix.
Consider flipping the axle on top of the springs, will lower the trailer and make launching and retrieval easier
Definitely considered this mate for sure 👍🏽 so far it launches great but agree lower the better.
100 bucks for the hull!? thats mint, i cant find a 4.1 for that cheap for the life of me
Having lived on Thursday Island for a while that trailer looks to be in perfect roadworthy condition!.
Before or after the rebuild?! Haha 👍🏽😂
It’s coming up a treat. Great video
Great job. I'd try a gas welder it gives a cleaner weld.. but looks great 👍
Love some good CAD work.......
Cardboard Aided Design!

How good is the old “about that much” will do hey! Haha 👍🏽
Mate I love this! Been thinking of doing something very similar myself to my trailer. Keep up the great work legend

Those VB Commodore wheels should be worth a few bucks lol
Did not even think of that! Haha
Danggg where can you get these tinnys in the US?!

Shit yeer luv the Tinny🐟🌴😜the mad mullet
Thanks mad mullet!
Not bad for someone who can't weld!
Thanks mate! Slowly learning as I go haha.
JB weld would of been your friend
it looks like a snyper
Keep those ears tucked in 🏏
Not sure if your referring to my ears tucked in my hat or my wheels sticking out off the trailer 😂 either way I got the both covered haha!
