I need to do this to my patrol but I’ve been putting it off and off and off. It’s been 2 years now lol. Great videos by the way mate. Keep up the good work
Not sure why you keep seperating the brakes? Just take the whole caliper off in one piece. Also not sure why you need to lever CV out, just rotate it until the flat pieces are at the top and bottom and it should just slide out
Is that flat part on the rotor because you lost a wheel?
Thank you champ ,the BEST VID ive seen from start to finish ,now i can do this myself

Going to start this shortly and this is new territory for me. This video will help massively, cheers 😊
I'm doing this job at the end of the week this was a huge help thanks
No worries, give my next video a gander on me assembeling them togethor.
Out of curiosity what wheels are they? I'm on the hunt for some simple and clean alloy wheels with neg offset for the GU
I'm afraid I don't actually know the wheel model names but I've been told they are neg 23 offset.
Maybe a bent axel housing if the axel/cv being so hard to remove
Someone forgot to recheck their wheelnuts! That left rotor
was a bit confused when i took it off ahaha, last owner was rough as guts on it
I made your likes from 199 to 200
There your like back mate
use a magnet pickup tool fo the lock ring, so much easier to remove then picks
ahahahha i noticed from the tunnel we have a lad from perth
I think I gonna do the same as nust bought patrol. Time to take care of the sealing surface
what is the part number for the king pin bearings for a gq or are they the same as the gu
I had to laugh at the left brake rotor
Yea i wasnt expecting to see that. Last owner was rough as guts on it
For some reason it's "common" for the left front wheel to come off unexpectedly
@@craigmandall9420 I've been in a vehicle when this has happened.
Not fun.
Dont understand why you took the big bolts out of the rotor or disconnected the hub from the steering arm
@@mickmay6569 i replaced the brake rotors, see the second video i put up on the swivel hub rebuild
Great video mate 👌🏻👌🏻

Fair enough haha

used a rolling pry bar with a hook, made leverage easy
All wrong bud take it off with diac
Just undo wheel bearings
