There are several risks on the way not only on the Mediterranean seas. Risk of exploitation, sold into slavery, the list goes on. I can't understand why our people put themselves through this. And there are people that still wouldn't learn from her experience but already contemplating embarking on the dangerous journey. The waste millions of naira that they could have invested in a business and make a living. Europe is not what you think stay where you are and if you want to leave do it properly and leave with skills that will get you a job.

But some people eventually 'make it', that's the apparent motivation. The challenge, however, is that the percentage of those people (who make it) is MEAGRE compared to those who lose their lives on the journey.

There is no amount of suffering in this world that will make me embark on such deadly journey. Lets always show attitude of gratitude to God almighty for being alive. I know its tough in Nigeria, our main problem is not poverty alone but greed and lack of satisfaction in life,Everybody want to be rich.we need to change our mind set to create a better nation.
My condolences to those who lost thier love ones, may thier soul rest in peace. Everything we achieved in this material plane is vanity, its chasing after the wind. Repent your sins, give your life to christ and worship yahweh only. Life/health is wealth.
Country is bad, you knew that the level of your income could only sustain you, your wife and 1 child, but you born 8 children after you started complaining that Government is bad, whereas you are even worst than the bad Government because children without proper care and upbringing may turn terrorists or criminals . Truth is bitter to swallow, its time to admit our mistakes and correct them

Nope, Nigerians has to take responsibilities too. Our moral values are on the mud. The worship of money, the insatiable appetite for instant wealth, greed, lack of contentment, disdain for hard work. Even those that have good jobs will quit them for so called greener pasture..
Everything isn't government. At some point the people has to be accountable for the choices they made.
There's poverty in all countries including America but the difference is normal people in other countries are contented with the little they have. They live their poor lives with dignity and grace.
We need to overhaul our greedy mentality and poor moral values.
